District - Oakland

This is a trendy place and food is good. We ordered the guava mimosa but got the pineapple instead, but the waitress comp'ed it. My friend's meal came first and by the time my vegetable scramble came, she was almost done with it. It was good, but ended up drinking on an empty stomach. :(

ate outside due to covid. Slow service. Did not have the look or feel of a Tapas place, in fact I thought I was at the wrong restaurant.

Nice location. Creative menu and friendly atmosphere. They didn’t have much for vegetarians but nice spot.

Our reservation was for 8 and we didn’t get our table till almost 9. Then once at the table, we waited so long that I had to ask if we could get someone to take our order

Pricey and over crowded, so not ideal for a date night. Noise levels are a bit high, especially if your table is next to a loud group. Music was good, service was a bit slow, but not their fault.

District is alive with the vibe of Oakland. Their Oyster happy hour special is what brought me here and after visiting for over a year I can say they consistently deliver quality oysters at a good price. The convertible seating in the large lounge area allows for a variety of social configurations. If you are able to be there on Wednesdays for live music, you are in for a treat. I love all the food on the menu. THE SAUCES are what transform the delicious dishes to outstanding delights.

It was Oakland Food Week . I had a reservation and that seemed to surprise the hostess . I was seated and waited almost 15 minutes before anyone came to the table to get our cocktail order. I asked about Restaurant Wee and was given a Menu I could barely read. It looked as if printer ran out of ink . Someone should have ran out to FedEx Office.
I spoke to Manager about experience but did not seem to take me seriously. This was my first and last tine here . This had to be added to my worst Restaurant experiences of all time .

Nice atmosphere. I loved the music. It was a little pricey. Overall good experience.

Very impressive restaurant and bar with large selection of sharing plates. Food, cocktails and wine were excellent.

Attentive servers, good ambience (on the loud side), definitely get a table but they have nice lounge sofas for later into the evening

Food is not that great nor are the bottomless mimosas. Lively atmosphere, though.

We spent New Year’s Eve there! Totally spontaneous looked on open table got the last reservation and had a blast. We had never been there but definitely going back!

Sensational night out. Loads of fun, great food (the lamb meatballs and chicken wings are a must). Bartenders are hilarious and friendly. Certainly will go back.

I loved this place. The food was good, the ambiance was great, the service was also good. My only complaint was that it was understaffed. The poor waitress was running g around so much. I felt bad for her and we had to leave to catch a comedy show. We got there at 5 so we would have enough time but there wasnt enough help.

Food was good but service was uneven. We sat with empty water glasses, had to ask repeatedly for serving spoons and got push back from the server since we had individual forks that we already ate off of so why did we need serving spoons to dole out saucy portions of apps among three people??? Also the fan spinning under the exposed overhead light bulb created a flashing effect that was a little annoying. Our first server was very good and had some great drink recommendations. I will go back for a drink and a bite but I won’t expect much otherwise.

The quality of service was better 3 years ago. The buffet table was very dirty, not very well maintained, your bathrooms were filthy. After checking in for a reservation, it took me 2 attempts to locate our server to seat us. Plus you removed the tv from the bar, to watch football. Bad decision.

Love the drink menu and the selection of appetizers. This time I got dessert. Definitely recommend huckleberry crisp.

I used to order few dozen oysters each time i was there w friends and families, today i ordered 1/2 dozen it was not fresh, not enough ice on plate for oysters, the first one was bad, the other 5 was warm and i was the only one ate the oysters, i got home and foods poison i was up all night between the bathroom and bedroom. How can they serve the oysters if it is not properly handle, i am sick in bed today. Will not return to this place

Fun place to eat!

Good food, good drinks and nice atmosphere. We had a group, sat at a large table, had great service and a great time.

District is the only brunch we do on a regular basis in the Bay Area. We love the ceviche and the variety of bottomless mimosas.

The ambience was great but the Quality of their food was not that good. We did not eat a couple of our dishes because it was not good.

Best place to get $1 oysters during happy hour, but the drinks are so so and entire staff just seems angry and overwhelmed. Don't go with a large group if you want decent service

Fabulous brunch buffet and great sparkling wine in an upscale yet casual setting. We loved it!

It was all classy! Even though I was surprised to find out that only the buffet is available in Sundays, no menu items, it was still lovely.

Ambiance is the key in this place. Service is good but they take their time so enjoy your drink.
The servers are well trained and very knowledgeable, follow their recommendations and you will have a great dinner.

It was brunch and there was hair in the food.It was disgusting

The food and service were great. Just one complain - my glass of chardonnay was at room temperature. When I mentioned to the server, I was told that's because it was a wine on tap. I've had white wine on tap in other restaurants before and they were always cold, as white wine should be. I remember reading the same complain on the website.

Food is fantastic! The place is a great place to relax and enjoy, but the service is superb! Tori was our server, she was not just a great Sever, but she knew her game! She did great recommendations about food and drinks

Love the atmosphere, music and the food is great

We’ve always loved District and the Oakland location is night and day from the Sanfran location. Food, ambiance, crowd, fabulous. But if wAnt any kind of timely service, sit at or go to the bar. They never ever have enough people on the floor. They literally have TWO ppl to cover the whole place, plus outside. I don’t get it. They need 4.

We were there for Happy Hour and dinner, great service but the house white wine was warm not cold, oysters were not as fresh as it used to be, disappointed, we ordered 4 dozen, some of the oysters were warm and taste fishy,

$1 dollar oysters during happy hour 4-6pm.
Big oysters too :)
