   Enjoyed the Riesling. No signature wine, no side options for food although what my friend and I ordered was tasty. Presentation was decent. Staff were very kind. Our server was new---though charming---a little less attentive that I'd hope, to say the least. Our appetizer came however we were offered no silverware. He was kind enough to remove it from the hill but it was very inconsistent. Otherwise, beautiful scenery and ambiance.

   We had reservations but yet got sat at the patio area with very uncomfortable metal chairs and no seat cushions, although there were empty tables inside. It took a chat with the manager in order to get the table inside (manager was very accommodating and thank you. We had the lamb shank and this one tender and moist, very delicious. We also tried the sparkling white and did not like Overall the manager made the evening. Prices are very reasonable and we‘ll be back next time in town.

   Make no mistake the entrees are not very large. The other items which we shared with two other couples were also not very substantial at all. The pork sausage charcuterie was really disappointing. The taste was minimal and the presentation was nothing. The drinks were good but beyond that the value for what we ate was not good. I ended up needing to order French fries and popcorn at the music venue we went to.

   Had been there before and the food was amazing, this time around it wasn’t even close to what I had experienced the first time. It sucked that they only had two servers while they were busy so our server was running around for the most part.

    It was a miss for us. Service was “just ok” for what seems to be striving to be a higher end place. We were there for Restaurant Week and thought the value was pretty terrible - food was mediocre at best and portions were very small. I really wanted to like this place more, but don’t see us returning again, unfortunately.

    We had a fantastic restaurant week experience at District Winery. Food was outstanding and portions (entree) was generous. We loved everything from appetizers to dessert. We will definitely visit again.

    Unfortunately, the wines here are very, very bad. Our party of three ordered two flights and two single glasses. Of the eight wines we tried at the restaurant, I would not recommend a single one. Of the three white wines offered on the “Winter Whites” flight, the Riesling had notes of a cardboard box left in the rain, especially in the aftertaste. The Muscat was like drinking sour simple syrup (and awful with food), and the Barrel Chardonnay had unpleasant sediments in the bottom of the glass. The tastes I took from the rest of my party were equally unpleasant, which is such a shame, considering this place is called “District Winery” The service was impeccable. I loved our server, but should have known about the quality of the wine when she preemptively apologized for the wines, saying “They’re all on the drier side, so they’re not for me, but I like the cocktails”, and began to list suggestions. Despite her best efforts to steer us towards a cocktail, we wanted to try wines at District Winery, which prominently features a large tasting room as you walk in, giant vats visible through floor-to-ceiling windows, and many standing signs heralding that “Wine Country is coming to DC”. It is not her fault that all the wines are very bad. The cocktails are hit-and-miss. The non-alcoholic “refreshers” were the best drinks. Please skip the “Apple In My Eye”. Though the idea of the drink (tea, rum, and apple) sounds exciting, it tasted over-steeped and thus bitter in non-complex, bad way. The food itself wasn’t great, either. The Chef’s Whim is a great idea, but the portion sizes are offensively small. Half of the board was filled with a bunch of grapes. A dish of sweet potatoes was supposed to have almonds on the top, but instead had peanuts… I’m allergic to peanuts. This is a negligent and dangerous substitution. The Coq au Vin did not have wine in the sauce and was very dry. Dessert was great (simple apple bake), but pitifully tiny, as were most portions. Go elsewhere.

    Outstanding service! Do NOT park at the Arris garage next door. $40 flat fee charged without disclosure or opportunity to dispute.

    I have loved district winery and have been many times, but this past visit was very subpar. The food was good for the most part, the crudite was very odd, it was radishes with creme fresh and dukkah, but the creme fresh tasted like yogurt and the dukkah looked and tasted like bagged granola. We all got a wine flight and the wine selection for the flight was just not good. I am not a wine connoisseur by any means, but I know good wine and I know bad wine, and this wine was just not good. I will return, but it'll probably be a few months till the next seasonal menu is out. The service was fine, but we had 4 different servers during our visit and it was just odd.

    The menu was described as American which leads you to believe it would be burgers, flatbreads etc. It actually is a bunch of appetizers that are listed as shareable and about 5 entree options that are more artisan than American fare. We shared a few things among my party of 7 then went home and ordered from Door Dash. The food was tasty but pricey for what is offered.

    I was not impressed with the service. Our waiter did not know the menu and could not recommend any of the wines. This was surprising given its a winery. The food was okay, thought it was very over priced for the quality.

    Girls Night went off without a hitch thanks to District Winery! We were running late for our reservations and after calling to change them 3 different times (embarrassing, I know) we finally made it and we were welcomed with open arms. I was thankful they even let me change them so many times and it was worth it. We had delicious charcuterie and wine flights. I really enjoyed the escargot and gnocchi our server recommended as well. Finished the night with a shot of tequila and headed off to our next location for girls night out. Special thanks to DW for their hospitality and splitting checks!

    Horrible experience, took my father out for his birthday. No one greeted us once we got to the table. After 15 min we were finally approached. We had 3 different servers, one in particular (blonde male) looked as though he was bothered to even be there. Would not recommend.

    A friend and I went for brunch, the place wasn't crowded when we got there, but our waitress acted like we were annoying her by asking for anything. She brought us our check when we probably would have ordered another glass of wine, so we left and went elsewhere. The warm holiday punch was not my favorite.

    Our reservations were for the patio which was a little too cool for a few members of our party. The noise level was also a little high than inside. Otherwise everything was lovely! And they gave me a complimentary glass of champagne and slice of chocolate torte for my birthday!

    Incredible! Absolutely, amazing! By far the best service that I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. In my additional notes and comments when making the reservation on the OpenTable app, I mentioned that I was bringing a friend with me and trying to convince her to move to the area, I requested seating overlooking the water, and didn’t think much of it again. Not only were we given a table for six with an incredible view, but someone on staff spent a fair amount of time to make a beautiful sign saying “ all the cool people live near district winery” for the table 😁😁As I have come to appreciate and expect from other trips to district winery, the server was prompt and attentive. Food and drinks came quickly were delicious and we were constantly updated about when to expect our orders to arrive as other pieces were delivered. Multiple members of staff asked us about our experience, including a member from the kitchen staff, and every request and need we had was attended to, with kindness and consideration. When I got home, and realized I had left my purse at the restaurant, not only was there someone waiting to greet me at the door (who greeted me by name of my party reservation) when I got back (after closing hours) to retrieve my purse, I had a voicemail message, waiting for me as soon as I turn my phone on. I will absolutely be continuing to come back to district winery for special occasions, fun experiences, and to show off my neighborhood to all my visiting family and friends. Thank you, thank you thank you for such a lovely evening!

    When we first walked in, I was a little irritated because there was a hostess who just took a party to be seated + never came back out to seat us, but it was fine because another woman saw us and sat us. I really enjoyed the wine flights and liked that I got to make my own. I also enjoyed how our waitress explained all the wines and demonstrated a good tasting technique. I didn’t really like the brunch food— i got the shrimp and “grits” and I thought the risotto was a little undercooked and too sweet. And I LIKE sweet stuff :( Overall, I would come back again based off of service and value for the wine, not the food.

    We went there for the brunch specifically for the Austrian breakfast only to be told after we ordered, it was not available. Our reservation was at 12:30. So, quite disappointed. But, what we did end up ordering was very good. Next time I’ll call ahead
