Great space and idea but food quality was really poor, tasteless and burnt burgers and chicken burger. Kids nuggets were burnt and hard. There were a few tiny flies disturbing our meal too. The toilets I wish had been cleaned more recently, there was a lingering smell. Probably wouldn't go again
Cocktails tasted watered down All the food didn’t taste fresh but had a microwave feel about it( warmed through not just cooked hotness) they wasn’t busy at all but the garlic bread still managed to be burnt We’d rather a Macdonald over what we eat
Always a warm welcome e and great food here the food was amazing service excellent next time im down we will be back great eating out place
Excellent food and large portions.
Polite and friendly staff.
Went sat 5.30 the food was amazing cooked perfect looked and tasted amazing we also had cocktails after they were so good service was very good also all in all a great meal and great cocktails
As much as it was an ok meal, there were several occasions where we had to get up to find a waitress to either order more drinks or even to actually pay our bill.
It just didn’t feel very professional from the waitressing staff.
Brilliant booked on line at 1800 hoping to get table for 19 30 no problem arrived to find we were the only people there , Two members of staff very helpful explained how the system works other people turned up but we was still attended to as if we were still the only ones there to cap it all when the bill arrived we was informed that dizzys are still continuing with the discount through the whole of September happy days .
Shortage of food due to a lorry breakdown. We went for ribs and banoffee pie both had not been delivered. Burgers were great we went early and it was empty but had to wait ages for food. We went on Monday and did the eat out to help out so price was good. Waitress was very nice.
Staff in no PPE, food terrible, service terrible, cutlery left out need I go on. This use to be such a good restaurant, it’s filthy.
The ribs were at best Luke warm. The bacon wasn’t cooked enough on the burgers and on the potato skins starter topping, so it was white fat and rubbery. The food just wasn’t hot enough.
First time we went to dizzy’s it was beautiful, but we went the other day and it was appalling, food was awful chips were very hard, lettuce was brown in places, burgers were very dry.. and after ordering we waiting 20 minutes to be told what we had ordered they have none of.. staff was lovely, just food and price ridiculous
Would have given it 5 stars but I ordered a cheeseburger and got something that appeared to have cheese mayo it was so thin.
Nice idea, good distancing. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
As it is up steep stairs, not good for anyone with walking difficulties.
We waited at the desk to be seated and were basically ignored by all staff who walked by, they did not even acknowledge or just say "be with you soon". The food was good - staff scarce, no cream to make an Irish coffee. It was an OK evening.
Nice atmopshere which linked with the theme of the restaurant really well. Service was very attentive and an order mistake was corrected with no fuss. Somewhat disappointed at the portion size of the fajitas, definitely not American sized :-( but it was nice. I'll come back to try the burgers one day!
Small tip for improvement: For a more authentic American experience, use USA imported drinks and ingredients when possible. The root beer was Australian and tasted slightly differently to US brands like Barq's, A&W or Mug.
Amazing cocktails and food. Great service from the staff.
The staff were attentive , the food was awful not taste of flavour.
Sweet Chill taste nothing like sweet chilli, Hamburger very chewy and flavourless.
Very expensive meat was over cooked on burgers
Woke up with upset stomach
Good old fashioned American Diner. Very quiet due to Pandemic. Lovely wallpaper, friendly staff and good food
Cocktails were like pineapple juice although were given new ones, but no dressing up of the cocktails to make them look more appealing! Food very expensive for “just burgers” and to charge extra for chips and coleslaw is quite embarrassing when that should be included in the overpriced burger in the first place! No atmosphere in the restaurant whatsoever, kids had an embarrassing amount of ice cream included in their meals given to them in a cup, it was a teaspoonful of ice cream!! We used to eat at dizzys diner over 20 years ago and it was a lovely, busy, happy environment but not now, it’s has the potential to be great there but the prices are just horrendously expensive and the food is just average! You need to big up the coleslaw not just put it in a thimble sized pot, add corn on the cobb ect.. and please play some music it is after all an American diner.
Great portions, would definitely go again. Might share a main next time 😉
Great food, great service
Quite quiet for is normally a bussing resturant due to current situation.
But a great time nonetheless.
Menu seems alot more reduced, would love to see more prawn dishes back on the menu.
Great meal. Great hosts. Overall great. Can’t wait to go back
The staff were very nice and friendly but there was no atmosphere, it felt a bit like a canteen. The food was nothing special, it was ok at best but some came out lukewarm and the chicken tasted reheated. Didn't complain as the staff were so nice and felt sorry for them working in that heat. They had aircon but it didnt reach our table and it was so hot.
Waited 15 mins for someone to take our drinks order. We ended up receiving our starters an hr after being there. The table next to us that arrived 30+ mins after we did and recieved their mains before we did. The nachos were burnt, burgers were over cooked borderline burnt. I wont be returning.
Restaurant very hot, air conditioning not effective and no fans. All customers were using menus to fan themselves
Never go here! Which is a shame become it used to be one of my favs. Air conditioning in the restaurant was broken. There were no fans. My family (including two children) were seated next to the kitchen. I asked the lady who seated us if we could move away from the kitchen but was told that all tables were planned. Food came quick enough but was terrible, for instance my daughters coleslaw came out in an eggcup size bowl but wasn’t even full. There was probably a teaspoon of coleslaw. Drinks took over twenty minutes to come and as it was so ridiculously hot, we really suffered. I asked another member of staff we could move and was still told no. Then to top it off, I had the witness the newly seated group of 4 adults who were seated next to us, ask if they could move closer to a window, and they were. We then left what was remaining of our “food” and hot up and left, after sending our drinks back to the bar, which we had been waiting for over 20 mins. Not exaggerating but probably the worst experience of a restaurant ever, and I’m not an overly picky person.
Lovely American-themed with great burgers and sides
After a long lockdown we decide to take advantage of the eat out to help out scheme.
Unfortunately it seemed to catch the restaurant out as they had no pulled pork, no ribs, no curly fries and this was at the beginning of the evening. So burgers all round it was.
The service could have been a lot better and no social distancing measures were in place.
It’s a shame as most people in there was saying about being disappointed. It’s a good opportunity for restaurants to get a new client base but this opportunity wasn’t being taken by Dizzy’s diner.
Great food, great staff, great place would 100% recommend!
Customer service was excellent but the food was poor. We won't be returning.
Excellent food and service.
Restaurant very quiet.
Food took a while but worth the wait.
Really great food at a reasonable price.
Had a great time with our grandchildren
Was very nice food with good service.the only bad thing was that the menu was not same as advertised on web sight so could not order what I was going to.
The heating was not working and we had to wear our coats. They had no ribs or chicken wings which was what I wanted. My partner was given the wrong burger. Staff were having a load argument with it soundings like things were being thrown and smashed.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The service was slow the drinks were terrible, my sister ordered Diet Coke and had to send it back twice then ordered a bottle instead! My daughters ordered mojitos and the mint in then was black!! My milkshake was weird it wasn’t like any I had had before at this stage we were thinking of going elsewhere for food but it was raining so we stayed. The food was ok. There were not many other diners just loads of Uber drivers calling to pick up orders. I will not be going back here again.
Perfect for all. I saw family's, couples, groups of young lads. This really is a place for all. The food was tasty and the staff nice but the food is a little on the steep side. Although the decor is nice the cheap table clothes make the place seem rather casual when it could pass for being more up market. To be fair, I've been coming here for 30 years. First introduced by my dad and I still keep coming back from time to time when I fancy a decent burger. Its definitely worth a try.
Enjoyable . And Flexible (they happily changed our reservation time to ensure we didn’t miss the film when we were running late ) lovely burger (American tower) friendly and helpful staff
The place was empty which wasn’t nice because the waitresses were stood there so me and my partner was careful what we spoke about due to the noise level being next to silent
Kids absolutely loved their experience at dizzys, milkshakes to die for, keep it up dizzys
The evening that we went was spoilt by the table next to us.
There were 4 ladies drinking cocktails letting their 7 kids run noisily around disturbing everyone.
