Every time I go to D'Marcos it never disappoints. Wonderful wine selection. The chicken caprese and shrimp risotto are a must to order. The house salad and dressing is a favorite of mine
Service was quick, food was great
Mushroom ravioli was delicious. Server was excellent but was delayed taking our order. The seemed short staffed on this night.
The food was very good. The staff was very friendly and polite. Our waitress was great, Ashe made our evening.
Lovely date night for 2 parents who sorely needed it. Delicious food, attentive service, and a perfect Valentine’s date night.
Great date night on Valentines Day for my wife and I
Our waitress seemed to have too many tables. When we were done with our meal she didn't ask if we wanted dessert. She just gave us the bill.
Food was good, waitress very attentive. Dissatisfaction with the management. Wanted a bowl of alfredo sauce on the side to help with the acidity/spiceyness of my meal and was denied because the kitchen was busy. Figured being a customer that is paying for food I shouldn't be denied what would have made the food edible. Oh well, good wait staff though but more than likely will not return
Birthday dinner. Awesome appetizers and attentive service!
D'Marcos happy hour is really good. The appetizers were delicious and a nice variety to choose from. I like sitting at the high top and watch the action in downtown Rochester. Had fish for dinner and it was as good as always.
This was our first time and we LOVED it!! We invited another couple and they also loved it. Food options were fantastic, our waitress made some amazing recommendations, and the atmosphere is just lovely! We will for sure be back. I had the Chicken Caprese, my husband had the filet, and our friend had the lasagna and we all loved our dishes.
Great food, service slow.
Second time coming to D’Marcos. The first time was fantastic, food tasted great, was nice and hot, the waitress we had was very tentative and informative and it was a great experience. The second time however, was not nearly as memorable. The waitress was rather distance and seemed more interested in doing tasks or lounging around. Felt like if I didn’t holler at her to take our order it would have been another 10 minutes before we’d see her again. Another server would come and fill up our water as he would go to the table behind us, and he wasn’t even our server! The food seemed alright, was good but not great. The salad seemed old based off the lettuce not being crispy and not cold. Calamari wasn’t as hot and crispy as before. The entrees were wonderful. Had good amount left and when asked to box it up, the waitress took it upon herself to decide what should be boxed up and threw away the veggies I had, not sure why you would decide that. Overall.. it was decent, the wife and I will give another chance as the first experience was fantastic but.. another experience like the second time and We will not be going back.
Perfect place for couples or if on your own or if meeting up with friends. It has an expansive bar, vast selection of wines and spirits to satisfy everyone. Food is wonderful as well. A gem in Rochester for sure
There were 6 people in our group and everyone was very pleased and said they would return.
Everything was wonderful. Eggplant app was outstanding. Very nice wine list
Excellent food, great value durning happy hour, wish waitress was a little more friendly and would have talked more to explain the menu.
Beautifully decorated and great location , but the food we ordered , 3 different dinners , we could not eat The wine was great but the bartender emptied all of the sediment from the bottom of the bottle, into my glass , a very unpleasant surprise.
Beautiful restaurant. Service was very friendly and efficient but not elevated as you might expect in a place like this. Dessert and tiramisu martini were phenomenal but the entrees were just ok. I would go again for drinks and dessert for sure.
Went to D’Marco’s for my wife’s Birthday. Made reservations in advance but didn’t need them b/c the weather was so bad. Never had a bad experience before but our Server seemed really disconnected from her tables. Never seen her after the dinners came out. We wanted another round half way through dinner but had to track the server down to request the drinks and the place was empty, By the time they finally got there, we were done eating. Our hope is this server was just having a bad night. The restaurant Management needs to be more dialed into the diners Experience and level of service. We will go back because of the ambiance and food and hopefully to a better experience.
Great food, great service. Lovely location.
The food was very good. The server was excellent, her name is Ashley.
D'Marcos was good. We arrived a couple minutes ahead of our reservation and were seated immediately. Wait staff was polite, but very busy. Had to ask twice for a refill on bread. They didn't ask if we wanted an appetizer, so missed a selling point. The waitress stacked dishes on her arm when clearing the table, a downer for my wife who worked in restaurant management.
An extensive drink menu, including specialty drinks. Enjoyed some spiced cider on a chilly night. Ordered the chicken parmigiana, which was good, Served with brussels sprouts, which it didn't say on the menu. I detest brussels sprouts, so that would have been nice to know.
Overall a good meal and okay service. Would I go back with friends if asked, yes, but not a place I would choose to return, given so many options in Rochester.
Hostess and server were not very friendly. Food was ok. Too expensive for the experience. Won’t go back.
over all your restaurant is very cold, we sat in the middle towards the back and we were freezing.
Also it seems odd that since you are 4 doors down from holy cannoli you havent teamed up with them to offer their cannoli's for dessert
we actually really just wanted a cannoli and passed on your dessert and went down to holy cannoli
seems like a missed business opportunity that would benefit the city commerce and neighborhood
Our third trip, and our second NYE dinner. The restaurant has a very cool 60s-70s vibe. The decor was perfect. The food was excellent....the Lasagna was perfect, and our Prime NY Strip and zip sauce was very good as well. The pasta side was a bit bland (rigatoni and marinara), so I would recommend increasing the flavor on that or changing the pasta. The only other suggestion would be to add a fancy, antique coat rack or two, as there is no place to put your coat that can (and does) fall off the back of the chairs. Otherwise, another perfect evening! Thanks!
Food was very good and a great atmosphere. Coffee and Cappuccino came out cold but were replaced. Overall a good experience.
This is my fourth visit and my last. The food is good Italian and prices aren’t bad but the service has been poor every single time. This time we never got bread, our appetizer plates were forgotten, 2 people got soft drink refills once and then never again, and believe it or not we were NEVER offered any Parmesan cheese for our pasta or entrees in an Italian restaurant. And it was not a super busy night. The owners need to train their staff better and start paying attention. We would have told these complaints to a manager but one never came to our table to check on us.
We’ve been to D’Marcos several times now and it has never failed to disappoint. Since it was a busy holiday weekend, We made reservations for bar seating and although the restaurant was full, our table was waiting for us when we arrived. The service was great and the food impeccable as always. We have referred many friends there and will continue to do so!
Had a great time last night. Meatballs and lasagna were fantastic. Really appreciated meeting the owner!
We love D'Marcos. During the Holiday Lights seating along the street is beautiful and the people watching a lot of fun. The food is a good value for the price. The service is always good (or better). It's nice to see an independent restaurant doing well.
The eggplant and tenderloin bites appetizer both were yummy! And we lucked out with a window seat to watch the cool lights on Main Street while sipping a crispy glass of Prosecco!
Our 1st time to D'Marco's but not the last. We're long time area residents. We've seen this place go through many hands. D'Marco's seems to have found the balance for food and service in downtown Rochester. Holiday decorations were festive. All our dinners were very tasty. Twin fillets were very tender and Zip Sauce was excellent. Lobster fettuccine and Shrimp and Artichoke capelinni were delicious. Could have done a better job on the bottle of wine presentation and opening but our waitress seemed very young and inexperienced. Service was timely but not rushed. Finished up with the lemon cake - light and flavorful but not over powering. Overall, a good experience.
Great experience and wonderful food and wine . Staff very attentive. Will be back soon.
We had an excellent waitress! The food was very good too!
We always enjoy this place. Great ambiance, friendly service, good food, fun drinks...add holiday lights in downtown Rochester and it's pretty perfect!
Service was terrible. Food was mediocre. We had a table by the window during the light show so that was great. Manager was nearby but never really recognized our table was piled with dirty dishes or we were out of drinks.
It took over 20 minutes for the server to greet us-they were not busy at all so no excuse there. They were out of the menu items and it was freezing in the restaurant. Would not recommend, especially at this price point.
Overall the 4 of us enjoyed ourselves very much. The 3 pasta dishes were delicious but the chicken marsala didn't quite hit the mark. I had a great martini and all of us had the house cab which was great also. Good bread, mushroom soup, caesar salads - very enjoyable. Seemed like our waitress had a lot of tables to cover but she still did a great job for us. A nice evening - we will be back.
