Every day happy hour
Happy Hour Ever Day!
The food is excellent. Our servers were knowledgeable about the menu.
This was my first time at this restaurant, and it is now my favorite. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Great food and the atmosphere was so beautiful, and relaxing. I will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service. Adheres to social distancing. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent. Will be back. Jamie and Tim were warm and inviting. Stacey was awesome.
Food delicious. Staff wonderful and friendly. Support this restaurant by trying it. Lorain needs this restaurant.
Having recently relocated back to the area, this is the best restaurant in Lorain County, Huron County and most of Cuyahoga County. The food quality and taste is equivalent to Lola’s, Farenheight, Kasai, Blue Sushi and Lei Wah, which I consider the best in NE Ohio). Marble Room would be the best. We just dined there for our 3rd time and had the crab stuffed lobster tails. Absolutely delicious and the price is so affordable. The owner and his wife do an amazing job creating the recipes and executing. Everything I have eaten is top notch from the pasta, spinach salad to the tiramisu cheesecake. Lorain is opening more and more restaurants, so get down there and try Dodi’s Dockside. Amazing happy hour too!
Good food, good service, fair pricing! Watching the traffic go by on lake road the only drawback
Excellent food. This is always our go to restaurant...BEST in Lorain County in my opinion...the lobster bisque is a MUST to start with...
Delicious food. Haven't found a place like it in the Cleveland/greater Cleveland area. My family is from New England and they're Italian, so this was a real treat. Love the decor; their style really compliments the beauty of the building. The lady at the front gave us a warm welcome. Just feels good when you get there.
Definitely a new favorite.
Where do I start? Beautiful location inside a historic hotel. Food and service was outstanding. If you like Italian with a modern twist, this is your place. Will be back soon.
Pleasant, clean, Diversidied food offering.
Me and my party ordered several things from the menu to taste them. Everything was delicious. Wait staff was quick knowledgeable and friendly. Great place for happy hour, special evening with loved ones or small party.Highly recommend the Lobster Roll
Food was excellent. Portions and plating was great. We had a wonderful waiter who was attuned to our needs, but not hovering around a table.
We will be back.
Very nice and food was good and came out hot. Parking free in front safe and clean.
First time dining here. It’s a hidden gem. Food and service were both exceptional. Looking forward to going back.
What an amazing dining experience. The restaurant ambiance is welcoming, service was stellar, drinks mixed to perfection and food was amazing. The Arincini and meatball appetizers were delicious, salads very generous and full of flavor, entries fresh and plentiful, 3 of us brought home leftovers. The drinks including manhattans, Italian sodas, Negroni and house made limoncello were delightful. We will visit again soon.
The food here is outstanding. Highly Recommend.
Love it here
Very nice place to eat! Food and service were very good. Would definitely go back again! It is a little pricey but well worth it.
The Food was delicious and service was amazing! Highly recommend
Service was a little slow, food was average, appears overpriced for what was served. Otherwise had a nice time
Dave was a great server and they really did everything they could. To accommodate us. It was a nice experience. Will definitely go back!
Enjoyed a lovely night out at this new resultant in Lorain. The owners are proud of their heritage and the meatballs showed! Don’t miss them or the osso bucco. The lemon mascarpone cake was another favorite. They ran out of walleye before we could order, but the corn meal crusted calamari was a delightful seafood substitute!
The only disappointment was that when making the reservation I selected it was for a birthday. Maybe I should have followed up with the hostess or server but it was not a acknowledged in any way during our visit. Not sure of the point of checking an occasion when making a reservation.
The hostesses were extremely pleasant and our server was good. The food was delicious! It was not my first and will not be my last visit to dockside.
All food ordered was very good, except one. Ordered the halibut dinner. It was very dry and bland and had no sauce. Noise level was a little too high, and I wish we were not seated in the bar area.
Made the trip from Akron because I had heard great things. I was not disappointed. Food was amazing with a great view of the Lake Erie sunset. We enjoyed lobster bisque that had large pieces of lobster, Dodie's recipe meatballs, the pasta special and swordfish. All I can say is wow. Great job to Jamie, Tim and staff!
Loved the lobster roll with fresh cut fries. The mussels were small but tasty. The lobster bisque had loads of lobster and was a good portion. The bar is a little small. Wish they had some room for an outside area to take advantage of the view. We will be back.
generous portion, delicious desserts, open seating plan. over all a beautiful place.
Excellent experience start to finish. All of the staff were super helpful and friendly, especially our waiter Mark. Food was super tasty. Meal was perfectly paced, with each course arriving at just the right time. Nothing rushed, nothing stalled. This will be our new go to spot!
I excellent service, food, environment and ambiance! Everyone was so nice and were super quick to clear tables... the 5 course Feast special was AMAZING.
Food was absolutely amazing and the environment was casual and cozy. I will definitely be back and can't wait to share the experience with more friends and family!!
A very nice addition to the city of Lorain! Have had dinner here twice. Cocktails are hand crafted and the food is delicious! A basket of buttery, garlicky parmesean dusted bread balls are brought warm to each table. We tried the bruschetta and meatball appetizer and were very happy with both. A peach salad with fresh mozzarella and toasted pistachios was being offered last Saturday evening and it was wonderful...just wonderful. Between the 4 of us we tried the Strip Steak, Linguine and Clams, Scallops and Lobster Risotto and the Red Snapper fish special that evening. Again...the food did not disappoint. We each had dessert and we also very happy with the exception of the cheesecake as it was on the dry side. Servers very professional and friendly. Gave a 4-star rating because I do think it's a bit pricey and am hoping that this factor will not be a deterrent for the fine folks of Lorain to eat there.
Wednesday early evening so not many people. Same decor as Spitzer - lots of wood paneling, booths, table COVID spaced. Personable service from Kelly G.
Food was very good. Best calamari in a long time - fresh not frozen, lightly battered, not over cooked. Each of us tried a different meal. Drink prices on the high side. First time there, we'll be back.
Great food great service
We moaned with delight at every bite.
We stuck with seafood for the entire meal, and was very pleased with every dish. Wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We didn't think we'd ever have food this good so close to home. We had to keep reminding ourselves that were still in Lorain...we will definitely be back!!!
Ordered a Filet Mignon and was a little disappointing. A 6oz, filet for $35 in my opinion is not a good value. The presentation was very disappointing as the steak was served sliced in sections without prior notification or choice. My meal consisted of a sliced steak, broccoli, and lobster potatoes piled one on top of the other making it difficult to eat without rearranging. We did voice our disappointment with the waiter and consequently with two other individuals whom came by our table and asked if everything was okay, thanked us for our " feedback " and were nice enough to send over a couple of complimentary cannolis . On the bright side the ambiance and atmosphere is upscale and my sincere hope is that this restaurant becomes a landmark in Lorain. While my review seems a little critical we never judge an establishment on one visit and feel that there is enough good going on there that we will return sometime soon.
Amazing food and service!
We found the atmosphere to be great, the staff very friendly and the food excellent.
Great specials tonight! The meatball app...sooo good.
It was Date Night and we have been enjoying sunset dining near the lake. Dodie’s Dockside has been open about a month according to Tim Smith, the very personable co-owner of Dodie’s.
Dodie’s menu is an eclectic mix of East Coast and North Coast; burgers to lobster roll, walleye to risotto. The scallops with lobster risotto was generous and the walleye lightly coated with cornmeal and accompanying ‘sea fries’ and coleslaw were both served piping hot and fresh. I could go on. The restaurant is in a newly transformed hotel that anchors the north end of Broadway, plenty of free parking.
