I brought some clients here for dinner and we started off getting there early to enjoy a drink at the bar. I got a seat on the end and the bartender was backed up, so had to wait a little bit to get our drinks. Instead, I went ahead and sat at our table which was nice. We started off with Cheese and meat plate which was pretty good. I had the pasta dish that was good and also the Pork Shank (which I enjoyed both) however, my clients had fish and they thought it was dry and no flavor. Not my favorite spot, but it was okay. Maybe it was just an off night!
Food was excellent, service also, and our family of 9 - including a two year old - was perfectly matched to the private dining room. The wine cellar has some great choices too. This was a first experience of Domaine Hudson for our kids and they all oohed and aahed.
Domaine Hudson is always a fine dining experience. Great for a special date night or sharing an exceptional meal with good friends. There are not many tables so a reservation is a good idea, especially on a busy weekend. This is not a place to go if you are looking for a cheap quick meal. Good food and wine, such as what you will find here, demands that you take the time to enjoy it.
Also, their wine list is massive. Wine lovers will not be disappointed and the staff can help you find a bottle if you aren't sure what you want.
Service was adequate and pleasant. The food was quotidian at a premium price.

The chef did a phenomenal job for healthy options. The texture of the food and flavors were amazing, without being overwhelmed by sauces, as most restaurants do to achieve good flavor. We will definitely go back again. It is worth the 45 minute drive for us! I hope the chef stays on board and the owners recognize what a great asset he is.
The food was good but the service was so slow, decor a bit outdated and parking a challenge in downtown Wilmington. We ordered only the vegetable board but somehow got the cheese board as well. I think the waiter thought we really needed it so put it out. Service was super slow though good when he showed up. For the price, I think better to try elsewhere.

We started off with red wine flights and some cheese at the bar (fabulous bar tender!). We then moved to a nice table in the front and had amazingly good food and outstanding service from Javier. The chef sent out a pasta course, the new bucatini Bolognese (mushroom), for us to share between our salad and entree as a gift to us. It was an amazing dish and a highlight of our meal, nice touch Chef! Entrees were expertly prepared as well. Wine was expertly paired for our courses by Javier! This is our new favorite Wilmington restaurant. We are looking forward to trying the Thursday night 3 courses and bottle of wine for 2 @$95.
Front of the house is always great. Food quality has deteriorated over the past two years to an all-time low. Over salted food, raw shrimp, and a steak au poivre that has an abundance of rosemary. There was virtually no rabbit in my main entree, all pasta. Step it up, you used to be the best restaurant in Wilmington.
Visited Domaine Hudson during restaurant week. For $35 you got to chose from a fixed menu, one appetizer, one entree and one dessert. There were only 3 entree options available for the special menu, lamb, squab or black sea bass. 5 members of our party ordered the black sea bass and the honestly came out looking the size of a fish stick. I understand they probably cut down the portions during restaurant week but honestly it was embarrassing at how small the entree portions were. Will NOT be going again, during restaurant week or any other time.
Best food in Northern Delaware on a consistent basis. Great wine and cocktail list plus attentive service and knowledgeable staff. Always a pleasure to dine here!

This week was restaurant week a great way to try this restaurant for the first time. Food was outstanding. The lamb shank had to be the best we've ever had. Also got to try some new wines. The only issue was this parking. The lot suggested on the website was closed. It took some driving to find a parking garage.

Service was a little slower than usual . My entree , which was squab , was extremely difficult to eat . Very hard to cut through . It was restaurant week and I noticed another diner close to me with the same issue . Not my best meal at Domain Hudson . We have been here service times before and it was wonderful . A little disappointed this time .

One of the greats in Wilmington. The Brandywine Valley Restaurant week menu was delicious. Two had the Sea Bass and I had the Lamb Shank which was deliciously prepared. The Fatoush Salad with Sassafras was nicely balanced and very enjoyable and the Shrimp was lovely. The third appetizer was the corn chowder which didn't last long.

While there were some flavorable parts of dinner--the octopus, for instance, was well-prepared, and the grilled squash was quite good--in general I'd have appreciated more finesse of preparation. There was too much thyme, for instance, in one dish, while the broth of Catalan seafood stew tasted salty and otherwise flat.
The food was wonderful. Wine was great. Was not super crowded because it is the middle of August. Just a great night.
Well, I don’t know where to start. We were served white wine in room temperature so we could not enjoy the starter with the wine we had to wait until it gets cool enough..they forgot to bring bread to the table, we had to ask for it when it arrived there were three sad pieces of baguette, they assume that you should share the third one!?the bread was not warm and was not cut at the moment of serving so it was dry. My husband’s portion of ribs was three times smaller than the same ribs ordered by the guest at the table next to us-there was a huge difference. The bar experience was not any better. The girl serving there seemed angry at everybody, no smile, she gave the impression of ‘ I want to be somewhere else and I hate my job’. We will not be back any time soon. We were at the Sullivan’s the next night and the difference in quality of service is enormous.

DH is still THE place to eat in Wilmington. The food and ambiance was every bit as we had remembered; the service polite and efficient. We've been going there for years when visiting my sister in Wilmington, and after her recent passing we ate there in her memory...a VERY good idea.

The food was amazing cooked to perfection and the seasonings were unique. We enjoyed everything we had. The cheese plate, the charcuterie, grilled octopus, ceviche, pasta with chicken sausage, even the asparagus had an awesome seasoning on it. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Service was very good and knowledgeable. Both wine choices were excellent - the Hudson Manhattan with the correct cherries was outstanding. My problem is I have an allergy to garlic and only 3 items were cooked w/o garlic - so my choices were few. We drove from NYC and were somewhat disappointed because of the few choices.

I've always wanted to try French cuisine. This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The suquet, seafood stew, is amazing!
The food was excellent especially the English pea soup for appetizer. My brother in law had the rabbit which he thought delicious especially how it was prepared. The service was very attentive but not rushed. We were there for about three and half hours sipping wine after dinner. Highly recommend.
The food was, as always, outstanding, and Javier's recommendations for dishes and wine pairings were outstanding.
