Dominion Bar + Kitchen

Always have had a good experience at the Dominion Bar+Kitchen.

Food was bland. Got the dominion burger and meatballs.

I find it quite pricey however it was an all right experience. Not sure if I’ll give it another go though as it’s not really in my price point

If you haven't been there before, to me it is in the Earls, Cactus CLub, Browns Social House quality / ambiance / decor.

It always a pleasure coming to the dominion. This is one of the few times that Jason has been our server and let me tell you the man is an absolute GEM!

Steak was so bad, I like this place, We used to enjoy your food but this time I did not enjoy it.

Good food but not checked in very often by wait staff. I would have ordered more drinks if they had been more available

Hit up the Dominion Bar + Kitchen on the weekend with a couple of squirrel friends for a girls night out and liked that they took reservations because I’m too old to line up for food and drinks 👵

We got a pitcher of pink sangria that was delicious but very light on the alcohol. We ordered a few appies to share.

The calamari was pretty standard, and the Thai mussels were quite good & we upgraded the frites to truffle fries.

Our favourites were definitely the truffle fries and the lingcod tacos were SO tasty! They had a nice crunch and really good flavour.

The big disappointment was the corn nachos with guac. It was served on a small hot plate with a handful of tortilla chips, a bit of corn, barely any cheese and some sauce drizzled on it with a small scoop of guac. It was mind boggling that the nachos cost $15 for what was served.

The service was good, the staff wore masks, and the ambience was lovely. The tables are well spaced to allow for social distancing. However, it was a pricy night out!

Overall we had fun and enjoyed ourselves, and I will return for happy hour tacos and truffle fries. The burgers looked good too!

Nice place, easy to get too. There are some really nice dishes and drinks.
Service was great - polite and prompt

The service and the food was great! I was impressed by the number of items on the menu. There was a bit of an upset with some other patrons that was handled swiftly and with grace by the staff. The manager came to every table to make sure that we were ok, before she took a moment to take care of herself.

We will be back!!!

Seated almost right away, only 3 or 4 booth spots which at the time were all taken so my dad who has mobility issues had to sit in high bar stool type chairs at a table. Which was okay. Garlic bread was gross - didn’t pay extra for it luckily. Portion of fries and Mac and cheese were both quite small for a high price. Not sure if I would count this as fine dining but I might go back in the future and try again.

We had an amazing time at Dominion this weekend. The food was fantastic and the service was great. We will definitely be coming back!

We were seated in an area off to the side as the bar was full. So a nice spot for ourselves more or less, not romantic by any stretch but secluded and fairly quiet.
We had great service from our server "Lola" .. she checked in regularly (not intrusive) to make sure things were good and if we wanted anything else.
Garlic prawns were really good but the accompanying bread tasted oily. So left that. 4/5
Chicken provencale - very good 4/5
Rigatoni and meatballs - Meatballs were very nice, rigatoni was not house made and could tell 3.5/5

We would go back again.

Great venue for a business lunch, great service and excellent food. Support your local restaurants and let's keep business flowing! The restaurant provides a great business environment with plenty of spacing between diners. Well done all at Dominion and thanks for you attention to Covid safety.

The service and place was great and location very convenient. However, the burgers were too juicy and the buns were all over the place

Was there for drinks and appys. Everything came out slow. Nachos and fries took 45mins to come out even though the place was not busy. Nachos ended up being in such small portion, which was a bit more disappointing.

First time dining here- very pleased! We sat on the patio- only issue was the noise from the skytrain but it was only transient. The Mac and cheese is delicious! They did a good job following infection reduction protocols for COVID-18. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful day on the patio...happy hour was perfect although the Skytrain going overhead is quite loud!

We visited Dominion today for Father's Day. Lovely ambient dining, lots of bright light and friendly service. Food was good. We had calamari, wings to start; I had the Buddha Bowl, everyone else had fish and chips. Super great meals! I would come back again.

Perfect we live upstairs in residences. Convenient and food was sooo good.

Enjoyed our dinner at the Dominion prior to attending a performance at City Stage at Surrey City Hall. Easy to park underground and then attend the performance afterwards. Food and serve were very good/ atmosphere casual and welcoming.

Everyone enjoyed their meals but the beet salad was too small. She had to order truffle fries after to feel satisfied.

it was an enjoyable first time there for lunch. it is nice to see some options like this opening up i the area. there were 7 of us for lunch and 6 were very pleased. that's pretty darn good.

The food was not extraordinary though the restaurant itself was beautiful as was the hotel that the restaurant is in.
