We visited on Christmas Eve so it was quieter than usual. The staff weren't very friendly, and when we ordered our drinks they almost looked offended by our choices and questioned us. It didn't seem like it was in a friendly or joking way and we felt like we were bothering them by placing an order. Needless to say we stayed for one drink and left.

Excellent, expedient service provided by the lovely English server and the food was well presented and reasonably priced. Great ambiance and funky speak easy vibe.

Suitable for small group of people, foods are delicious and drinks are good too, really enjoyed on the day!

A great out of the way intimate location with a cool vibe. We did not eat, were just there for a drink and it ticked all the boxes. First time for all of us and it was fun and relaxed. We will all definitely be going back to Door Knock

Even though the cocktails are slightly higher than other small bars the experience is always great at Door Knock.

Door Knock was a really interesting bar, right from the mysterious entrance to the fun cocktails. The staff were very attentive and service is quick. The ambience is lively yet very cosy with candlelit corners. We ordered 3 different cocktails and all of them were well balanced. My friends and I also really enjoyed the mac n cheese croquettes, and the cheese and meat board had a good selection of items to try. Overall a nice place for intimate gatherings or special occasions for people who prefer a casual vibe.

This is my third visit love it, even with the air con broken in building that night, we still had a good time. Back soon.

Lovely location, great welcome but then a complete lack of service

This place is super sexy from the minute you enter from the street down the intriguing entrance which draws you into the surprise entrance.
Its cosy, great staff, great selection of wine and spirits. You wont want to leave. Cool tunes as well...

Love this little gem in the heart of the city, was particularly lovely on a Saturday night at 6pm!

Drinks were sensational, as was the service. Staff incredible knowledgeable. Keen to go back when the menu changes! Negroni with coconut and cacao was superb.

This is such a funky hidden bar!! Definitely recommend the rumble in the jungle!

Amazing with great service

We booked a table for some anniversary drinks.

When we arrived, the guy did not check if we had booked into the covid safe app. He just asked if we had.
They did not ask if we already had a booking, i had booked this well in advance as i wanted a table with chairs due to ongoing back problems i visit a chiropractor twice a week. We were seated on bar stools with no backs, i had to inform the guy that we did have a booking and then he went off. I called over another person and told them that we wanted seated at an actual table as thats what i booked. I was informed that they were very busy and he will try, whilst there was a free table in the corner all along and we could see it.
We were then seated at this table.

No one came to our table after that to see if we were ok and wanted to actually order. I had to call and raise my hand 3-4 times to try and get someones attention. Eventually my Girlfriend was fed up and shouted at someone who was walking past who then took the order.
After getting the drinks i asked him to leave the cocktail menu and he just rushed away and lifted the menu that i specifically asked to keep.

After we were nearing the end of the first drinks i had the same process again to get the cocktail menu, raising my hand and trying to grab the attention of someone going past to get the menu (which is why i wanted to keep it i knew it would take a long time to get again)
We got the menu eventually and the same process again to order the drinks, we ordered new drinks and then the waiter tried to take my drink when it was not finished, i had to say hey thats not finished!!!
The second round of drinks arrived and only then we eventually got glasses of water to the table after 1 full hour of being there. The waiter didnt even say anything if we were happy if we wanted tap or bottled water, he just plonked the glasses down and went off quickly.
After these drinks we thankfully left.

This was the worst service experience ive ever had in my life!!!!!

I want to say the cocktails (and the truffle popcorn) are the best thing about this place but honestly you can't beat the service! What a team of fun, passionate and helpful staff. I can't wait to come back!

This was one of the best date spots I’ve been in Sydney! The speakeasy feel of the bar made it feel exclusive and secluded. The cocktails were out of this world, the food was fantastic, and the fortified selection couldn’t be matched. The highlight was the staff - every single staff member went out of their way to be genuinely delightful. From cocktail and sherry recommendations, to their general chats and hospitality, we felt like we were welcomed into a good mate’s home. Thanks guys! Keen to come back!
