Double Eagle Steak and Seafood
We had a great dinner at Double Eagle Steak and Seafood. Liked my halibut, my wife liked her Caesar with crab, and friends liked their mushroom pasta and mushroom hamburger. Prosecco was good, but a bit overpriced. Food very reasonably priced for the quality.
Service was excellent and nice that they followed masking/vaccinated protocols for inside dining.
Ambiance nice, not quite "fine dining" but very nice and liked the booth we had with nicely designed/attractive glass barriers at the top of the booth seats. Comfy.
For what you spend, the place packed character and ambiance.
My wife and I split a steak and salad. Both were good.
Desert consisted of ice cream with chocolate. The dish had probably been setting out as it was melted to be a chocolate milkshake by the time it arrived.
We quit coming to double eagle because of the extremely slow service. A friend told us we should try again, because the service was better. So last night we did. We were pleasantly surprised at the speed of service. Much, much improved! However, and I know each waitress has their own style, it would be nice to have a waitress that is a little friendlier. I don't think ours ever even looked at us, her eyes darted everywhere else. And she forgot our Rewards discount. The hostess, however, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed! She was wonderful.
So.. we will start coming again, because the salad was delicious!
Arrived for our 6PM reservation, seated at 6:05PM; ordered by 6:10PM. Sat until 7PM with no sign of dinner, no status report, no update, no apology - no nothing! I realize that the COVID issue and the welfare programs keep people out of the service industries but come on! At least come let us know where our dinner is after 50 minutes! The selection sounded good - we never had a chance to try.
The staff was friendly, we were a group of 6 and they were able to serve us all with no issues.
Good was good and service was excellent
I had the Tuesday special of Prime Rib, my spouse had the Chicken Marsala and our son had the Halibut and Chips. Each of us enjoyed our meal immensely. The server was calm and attentive to detail even though she had full tables. The support staff were amazing from other servers to "bus staff". I watched an amazing amount of teamwork among them to make sure meals were brought out hot and our water was constantly filled and plates removed when done by the "bus staff". The large table of 10 we sat next to were not overly loud either. All in all, we had a wonderful dining experience as we celebrated our 1st year anniversary of moving to Sequim! Thank you Double Eagle Steak and Seafood.
Took advantage of the Tuesday night prime rib special. Very good.
Steak was tough to chew
Great food. Servers were very helpful. Was a wonderful experience
Food was flavorful, portion size adequate, not large, service prompt.
We love the new availability of chilled whole Dungeness crabs, though since they are served completely by themselves (no rice, no veggie like other entrees), we recommend viewing them as an appetizer. The crab is SWEET and tasty! Their prime rib night is always fun, and personally - I love the cod tacos which was a surprise to me!
No one came to fill water. Or to see if we need anything. When we asked for butter. It never came till almost done.
The Double Eagle is excellent as always. However Open Table screwed up our reservation. I made the reservation for 5 and you confirmed a 5 o'clock reservation. We arrived at the restaurant and found the reservation had been changed by Open Table to 6:15. Fortunately the restaurant was able to accomadate us. I doubt I will use Open Table in the future.
Our waiter Chantelle was very nice but the computer system went down and we waited a very long time for our food. Not much she could do. I like the food here mostly, and the people are welcoming and warm.
However: The placemats were dirty with caked-on food; the booth seats not cleaned. A full cleaning should be done with every table turnover. It's unpleasant to sit down to a dirty setup and it happens regularly.
Our server was wonderful. The food was amazing. Great wine selection and nice views.
Had a very nice dinner with my wife to celebrate our 28th anniversary. Clean and food was very good. Calamari appetizer was super good.
Took some time outside as we were early and enjoyed the koi in the pond.
Outstanding meal! The pork chop and st louis ribs were perfectly prepared and so tasty! Shyanne was the best server we’ve had anywhere for a long time!! Very attentive and fun. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
The restaurant is doing the best that I can given the shortage of available help. Our order was low. But there was so much takeout business going on in the background. We love this place and come here weekly.
They were understaffed, and a long time to get seated and waited on even with the 7:00 reservation. It was extremely loud with some people at another table laughing so loud obnoxious behavior) you couldn't hear yourself speak to your dining partner. The food was okay, nothing exceptional. I would only recommend it if that's the kind of ambiance they want. It was our 40th anniversary and it wasn't acknowledged even though they ask when you make the reservation.
Cold coffee, very slow service, and good quality food, make 3 stars for this restaurant
Food, ambiance and service were fantastic! We had a great time here and would definitely come back.
The Dungeness Crab entree was sweet & good but you should know it is more of an appetizer - comes chilled with warm butter & nothing else. I LOVED the fish & chips. Two nice, tasty pieces of Cod, breading was light & great potato & veggies. For a "simple" dish, the fish was better than expected!
Good food in a pleasant setting. Great service by caring people. The menu is a bit limited, but some other menus are too long. It was a good value, based on what you got for what you paid. Not a Michelin-starred, haute cuisine restaurant, but a solid choice. We recommend it.
The margerita was so sweet i had to put water in it to drink it ,should have sent it back.
We sat for over 20 mins with no hello or greeting. We asked for a ton of water since the restaurant was so incredibly hot and they only brought two bottles for 5 of us. Food took 90 mins to get to us and 30 minutes to eat. We were there for 2 hours and spent over 300$ and the waitress still did not check in on us, nor did she offer to give us our 10% off as a Totem Member. Service was awful, host and waiters just standing around chatting while we have three piles of plates to pick up. We were nobody to them. I have already called the restaurant and the manager has not called back. Figures.
Tim , the manager always makes a point of checking on tables to assure everything is fine. We’ve always had a very pleasant experience whenever we have been there for dinner
Love Double Eagle! Stymies is great also.
Recommend highly for both.
Incredibly good service from our server and other staff. Food was first rate. A little noisy for my taste but overall a great experience.
Over priced for amount of food, took too long to be waited on and receive food, steak was tough and I feel the chef should have known that. Worst was the ambiance, it was more like a hash house that a fine dining establishment.
RESTAURANT WAS BUSY, THEREFORE THE FOOD TOOK A WHILE TO BE SERVED, BUT ARROIVED HOT AND TASTY...
The food and customer service is second to none!!!
From the moment you walk through the door and are greeted by the host/hostess, your dining experience is awesome!
We're from east coast, had Dungeness crab for 1st time. Wonderful! The table had beautiful view of mountains and the golf course and awesome landscaping!
Everything we had was delicious and presented nicely. Our server was fantastic. All the servers were busy attending their tables and seemed to enjoy their jobs. We went on a Monday night to avoid the weekend crowds. Plenty of options on the menu, thank goodness. We came for steaks but when we saw the price, we chose less expensive options out of respect for my relative who wanted to treat us to a steak dinner. He didn't even order a steak! $45.00 is off the charts. I will barbecue 4 ribeye, T-bone or NY steaks to perfection at the cost of one from your menu thank you. Other than that, we will return. But not for steaks!
Great appetizer and entree portions. Excellent service and nice view. Kind of loud but not too bad. I would definitely recommend them!
The waiter was very good with the cocktail service but there was a miscommunication about the food order. I ordered oysters on the half shell and the fried oyster dinner. The waiter thought I had order two appetizers instead of dinner and brought the fried oysters before the half shell oysters. He did come out later with the french fries and cole slaw.
Next time I will be more precise with my order...not totally his fault or mine.
Did not really care for the coating on the fried oysters...way to heavy.
Will go back and give it another try
My husband and I had a great time at the Double Eagle. Crab Cakes were great for an appetizer, but the calamari was a disappointment. The Filet Mignon was fabulous - perfectly done - and the 1/2 crab was stupendous! Couldn't have asked for better. The server was outstanding too! We'll be back!
Food was good. Presentation was very good. Pricing seems a little high.
