We are a neighborhood restaurant & wine bar located in the heart of the Charlestown Navy Yard. Little sister to Brewer's Fork, we focus on wine, house-made pasta and local seafood. We have a large, dog-friendly seasonal patio located on a tree-lined cobblestone walking street. We are located just off the Freedom Trail, steps away from the U.S.S. Constitution Museum & Boston Harbor Walk.

    Already planning my next visit! Food was very good to outstanding. Apps and salad very good, my campanelle pasta was the things dreams are made of. Great wine list! Service lovely--attentive, unobtrusive and not rushed. Space got a little loud when some larger groups came in but noise was still conversational. I eat here for lunch in from the shop but this was my first time in the restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

    Warm and welcoming place with an interesting and creative menu with a good value to cost ratio . The snapper and lobster roll and steak frites were very good The wine list is eclectic and pretty deep for a cute neighborhood place. Our waitress(Olivia ?)was super friendly and nice

    The food was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. The noise level was rather high, making it hard to hear as we were a group of 6 people. The experience would be enhanced if the restaurant were to install appropriate acoustical panels t dampen the ambient noise level.

    My experience was mixed. The appetizers were as good as I have ever had. My pasta +lobster was good. The chairs were boards. There was blasting cold air hitting us when we sat down. (A request to tour server DID result in the blasting cold air to strongly decrease or stop.) When were had finished our main food, I was startled to be told that there were no desserts offerred; NOR COFFEE NOR TEA. I could not help feeling that this collection of things (seats, cold, lack of desserts or coffee or tea) were in the service of having customers leave promptly after they had consumed the high-margin items. I will have the appropriate expectations if I return. Those small plates were exceptionally good! I will bring a cushion.

    First time at Dovetail. We had a large group and they were very accommodating. Our server was great- helpful, knowledgeable and managed our 2 large tables. Specials were delicious. Good cocktails.

    We had a great meal at Dovetail celebrating a family milestone. Rudy waited on our party of six and from his first interaction with us to the signing the bill, Rudy was personable, informative and kind. The food was delicious as always. I highly recommend DoveTail.

    Very good food at reasonable prices. The squash blossom tortilla was fantastic, as we're the tandoori carrots and clam pasta. They made their own spaghetti which always a plus.

    We ate on the patio. The service is attentive and friendly. The menu is seasonal and small, & there are always a few specials, some small plates, some large. My partner had the blue fish dinner (2nd time, as it is so excellent and definitely a seasonal) & I had lobster in a light creamy sauce served over fresh (made by Dovetail) spaghetti. The wine was perfect. While we usually walk, haven't had a problem finding nearby street parking.

    Such a beautiful place! Really loved sitting between the brick buildings, drinking delicous wine and eating great food. Great spot for a peaceful date or going with kids. The staff was very friendly.

    A must whenever we visit Boston. We are a large family - 3 kids , 11 and under - abd dovetail never cliches at serving us. Food is fantastic , I love eating in the navy yard, and the wait staff is fantastic.

    Fresh veggie-forward menu with lots of options. The pasta is made inhouse and served perfectly al dente. Wines by the glass were varied, interesting and excellent. Will definitely return -- this place is a gem.

    All around EXCELLENT! Enjoyed brunch outside on the patio on a beautiful morning. Service was great, food was excellent and overall it was a wonderful dining experience. Mussels - superb, sandwiches - delicious and so fresh. Super location to walk around and enjoy the Navy Yard options. We will definitely be back!!
