A bit chilly, but the food was very good. Service was prompt and attentive.

I think this is one of the best restaurants on the island. The food was amazing and the cocktails were unreal! I would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Martini was superb

The Halibut was fantastic! My son had a pork special that was also delicious. The chicken Gorgonzola salad is my go to standard. It’s wonderful and not something I could make at home.

We made a reservation one week prior to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived there on time but had to wait 30 min to be seated.
The host was very unkind and unfriendly with customers. Never apologized for the inconvenience, instead she was being very defensive.
Our waiter was super nice and attentive. Food was great and fast. I just wish we were welcomed better and had our reserved table ready as it should be.

Seated us within 5 minutes, and the service was quick, thorough and the staff was friendly. The clam chowder was delicious and their blackened cod tacos were full of flavor and not dried out. Our favorite spot to eat in all of the San Juan’s!

We had reservations at 7, but had arrived in town early and with nothing to do decided to go over early to see if we could get seated. And they accommodated us even though we were an entire hour early! They were very kind and professional. The server was excellent and the food was delicious! My husband had the spicy prawn Mac n cheese (which was awesome) and I had the steak in red wine sauce. It was yumm. The birthday girl had scallop gnocchi which she said was delicious and our son had fish and chips- he said they were good (if a little heavy on the breading). The chips were fresh and crisp.

Halibut special was superb

Dinner was a great experience. The location is ideal, right by the water. Our server made a caring connection with us. And the fish and chips were excellent as was the mojito.

We waited 30+ minutes before getting seated even with reservation. Thank god we didn’t have a ferry to catch after the dinner as originally planned. They left all doors to the patio open for airflow, so it’s quite freezing no matter where you get seated. Our waitress was very unprofessional—no menus or water for a while after getting seated, brought out completely watered down cocktails that was left sitting at the bar while she was calculating her tips at the bar. Other waitresses that kept catching us trying to flag ours down unsuccessfully had to chime in and help multiple times. Didn’t mention my bf’s birthday even with a previous note that we were there for celebratory occasion—wouldn’t dream for an extra service at this restaurant but at least a nice welcome and happy birthday would’ve been appreciated. The food is okay at best—large portions, crazy high calories (everything swimming in butter and cheese type of deal). There aren’t a lot of options for finer dining in Friday Harbor but we will never return to this place.

Friday Harbor was on my bucket list and the Downrigger looked like a good choice for a good meal. It was. If you're going to (or from) Friday Harbor, you can't go wrong

Way too many onions in the crab & artichoke dip.
Buddha Bowl with grilled salmon is scrumptious.
Halibut & Chips is delicious if pricey. The malt vinegar aioli is awesome.
Key Lime Mousse will be my excuse to come back - light, airy and soooo good!

Great food, great service. Our first time on the island and we got several recommends for the Downrigger. We got a reservation and showed up a little early. They suggested we wait a few minutes so that we could have a better table, and then took a drink order for us while we waited. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy, and enjoyed our drinks and meals.

The food was lovely; fresh and mostly local and very well prepared and presented. I can't wait to go back!

Mussels in creamy broth were delicious. Dungeness crab BLT was excellent. Wonderful service. Lovely modern decor with a view of the harbor and outdoor seating.

Sunday lunch for a Seahawks game in early October was a perfect venue. They make a mean Bloody Mary with friendly service (server "Ida"?).

We shared the clams and the seafood cobb salad. Both were excellent and filling. Reservations are a must!

Great burger & chowder! Fabulous view & ambiance!

Drinks and service are good. Appetizers are OK. They were out of several entrees by 5pm. Food was mediocre for the price. There are better options in town.

It was cold outside and they removed our heater when we sat down? The halibut and chips was good. The chill in the air detracted from the meal.

Anniversary

One of our favorites on the island - it is our go to for great food and service. The view is also a bonus of course.

Enjoyed my birthday dinner here and got my fill of seafood! Cocktails were tasty, and we got ribeye and the bouillabaisse. Key lime mousse was good.

My favorite place to eat. We literally planned our travel day around eating here. Always excellent!

The hostess at the door was a bit cold. It was a bit busy but our waiter hustled, and was very helpful. The food was very good. All four of us really enjoyed our menu choices.
A bit pricey, but the service and food were good value.

Beautiful setting, outside, overlooking Friday Harbor. The food was excellent (try the crab deviled eggs👍) as was the service with everyone following the COVID-19 guidelines very well.
Can’t wait to go back ! 😋
