Outstanding French in the heart of Fells Point. Try the "Golden Goose" cocktail its worth the price. Food and service were the best I have experienced in Baltimore in the past 5 years.
This is a tough one. A lot of positives, but DDG could be great. DDG has the vibe of a European bistro. Improved menu over the last year, and excellent service. It is a small place with a lot of movement and the wait staff acts more like a team than individual waiters, which really helps and adds to the vibe. I think the menu is very good, I had the duck which was excellent. However, that’s all there was on the plate was duck. 2 large pieces of duck, a large portion but no much else. It came with a beet glaze but few beets. A true bistro offers a not overly large protein portion, and a well prepared starch and vegetable. This did not. We started with the mussels which ere also great and my wife’s entree was a similar experience. I would go back but there needs to be a little attention to the offering
This was one of the best dinners I have had in Baltimore. I cannot say enough about the superior food and service. The appetizers were unique and tasty, and the main courses superb. We have been here about four times, and this visit showed that they have greatly improved over time, though we always returned. I would name this a top restaurant and among my favorites in Baltimore.
Wonderful experience in terms of both food and service. Braised lamb shank literally fell off the bone and the brown reduction was packed with flavor. Chairs were VERY uncomfortable!
I have enjoyed Duck Duck Goose 4 times now and every time food, drinks, service, ambience and vibe have been outstanding, enjoyable, and special. This may well be the best restaurant for food and drinks at the very least, in Fells Point if not all of Baltimore!
One of the best brunches I’ve ever had. I loved the attention to detail. Parking is tricky but that’s true anywhere in Fells Point.
We had a fantastic date with Johnny as our server. We will definitely be coming back. He made the experience very special.
I have colleagues that had a great time dining @ Duck Duck Goose. I wish I could say the same.
Everything is absolutely amazing here!!!
We celebrated my daughters 23 birthday, and the entire staff made sure she had an exceptional experience. The food is delicious, the adult beverages are equally delicious, and the environment is a perfect match to the service.
We had a great time! Foods are great! We all enjoyed the awesome brunch!
We visited for our anniversary and had pretty high expectations. The food was good, wine was fantastic, however the service left much to be desired. We sat for twenty minutes before having our drink order taken, food was actually cold once we finally received, and then handed a bill before we even requested same. Honestly, we felt as though we were glossed over the entire visit.
Had a great birthday dinner. We had Duck and Scallops both grand. French Onion Soup was excellent. Napoleon for dessert huge and delicious ! We were outside , a beautiful night, as close to a French Bistro as Fells Point allows. We were seated inside to begin with but seemed like Air Conditioning was not working. All and great choice.
Overall it was good. The service was slow but may have been because we were outside. Food was good. I was surprise that the DDG Burger they did not have. Drinks were excellent.
Food was really a treat...particularly the chicken and waffles. Our server was so friendly and great service.
Would give five stars without the few flies in the back corner of the dining room...kitchen is open and did not see any flying around there but did need to move tables.
Located in the heart of the Fell's Point entertainment district. Unique recipes are tasty and attractive. Waiter was excellent and the kitchen served our meals in a very well-timed manner. Apps and drinks almost immediately. Mains when needed. Allow time for parking.
The staff and service was amazing! Food was delicious.
Amazing food and service!
Delicious. Fun. Bistro-like vibe. Impeccable service. Knowledgeable server who gave us great recommendations. Ready already to go again!
I rated the noise moderately high, but as a customer service they turned the sound system off so my friend and I could enjoy a catchup visit without competing with the music. That deserves a star for the customer service, but the rating on noise is reflective of what others might actually experience for background.
Thanks to the host for that help.
I had high expectations given that the owner is a celebrity chef. I was disappointed. The food was, well, meh. The beef tartare was spicy, but unsophisticated. The seared foie gras was good, but it was overwhelmed by the amount of pear it was served on. And the 24 hour bone in ribeye was flavorful, but over cooked. The price was for a 4/5 star meal, but the quality and service were basically 3 star. The location is great - right in the middle of the excitement of Fells Point, so they’ve got a great opportunity. I think they should refresh the menu to compete with the high end eateries the city offers or lower their prices and be a more moderately priced restaurant.
The food was excellent. I would recommend some fans since it was so hot outside, the A/C had a hard time keeping up but other then that it was outstanding.
Wonderful. Nice variety. Beautiful presentations
The food was really outstanding!
My wife and I were interested in going to DD Goose for quite some time now. Service was not the best. Just very slow to get our drinks and give us the details about the menu. We ordered a charcuterie and a pasta appetizer which were both very lovely. The main course struggled with flavor and over cooked fish. I ordered the halibut and my wife ordered the scallops. The halibut was over cooked and very very dry. Zero flavor in the whole dish. My wife’s scallops were ok but nothing that would make us order them again. Overall, I was a little sad hey DD Goose didn’t wow us!
Great brunch crowd.
Fantastic servers, great food, great drinks.
Need i say more?
Duck Duck Goose seeks to infuse modern aesthetics with authentic style French cuisine with mixed results. On one hand, the service experience is on par with most restaurants within the same category and price range, while on the other, the food lacks a wow factor.
Duck duck goose is amazing every time I go. The food is definitely worth the price tag, every dish is well thought out. Wait staff are always attentive and friendly. The only improvement I would say are that some of the chairs have definitely seen better days! This past visit I could feel the wood framing pressing into my thighs and the cushion was pretty much non existent. Still wouldn’t stop me from coming back!
Food well prepared; but too noisy for the small dining area. Because of disruptive noise we left before ordering dessert or another drink. Sorry!
Great menu and all the food we ate was delicious. The service really went out of their way to make us feel special for the birthday we were celebrating. Great addition to the neighborhood!
The food was very good. The decor is interesting. I realize prices are higher because of location. The service was excellent.
The food was fabulous and felt the portions were good ,just the right size. The service was wonderful and our server Kenya was a delight. The only improvement would be if they offered valet parking as parking in Fells Point can be tricky.
Service was friendly and fun, vibe is fun, food is fantastic, and I'll be coming back for sure - bringing friends!
Wonderful meal!! Went for my father's birthday dinner. Excellent service and food. Will definitely go back.
food was excellent!!! Duck Duck Burger was the best burger we ever had by 1,000,000
Had a great time here. Sat outside for dinner and then went inside later for live music
Nice service and food, but they do have a fly problem in the back corner of the restaurant unfortunately.
We enjoyed our meal. The food is inventive with French influences. Everything was delicious, with the exception of the broccolini, which was very tough. The cheese board was exceptional, as well as the halibut. Parking, of course, was a problem. Maybe they could offer valet parking?
We chose this place for my older sister’s birthday celebration. We don’t get to see each other often so it was a big deal. The ceiling was leaking water right next to us. The flies and nats flying around were awful. I requested a special birthday candle and they did not follow through with it. Instead that gave a free drink voucher which was great except they wouldn’t let her use it on her actual birthday meal that day. We explained we are out of town and requested it be put towards the drink she did order that day and they declined it. My sister left not happy and not having enjoyed her special day. The entrees are expensive and do not come with sides - an egg with only cheese inside nothing else costs $14 that’s with no sides. The sides are overpriced with breakfast potatoes costing $6 and toast costing $3. Disappointed I chose this place.
The food was quite good, and when one dish was over salted, the general manager herself came by to ask us if she could remake it special for us. And it was then excellent.
The down side was the restaurant itself. The room was extraordinarily warm, to the point of discomfort. The waiter mentioned that the A/C was to be repaired soon as it was an older building, but it detracted from the experience eating in a room that was well over 80°. The courses were also brought out so fast that they are almost back to back. For fine dining, we were rushed. But I suppose that was a plus side in the hot room.
The food and drinks were good! I want to come back!
