Because of Covid, we sat on the heated patio which was nice and warm. We felt super comfortable given the circumstances! The duck was cooked to perfection! Drinks and mocktails were amazing and they had an adorable little march shop set up for the holidays! Cannot wait to go back!

Duck In is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The only bad thing is that this last time we were seated in the tent outside and they didn’t have heat so it was kind of freezing.

Great food. Seems like they thought we were a party of 3. We had to keep asking for the fourth utensils, cups, etc.
With restaurants having to make the best of restrictions, they did a goid job. I just wish we were not seated right by the warm air blower. There were more seats to move to a it was not crowded.
Still love that place and will go back.

The ambiance was nice and quiet. Staff was welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The food was ok; but too greasy and in my opinion, overpriced.

Patio was charmless, uncomfortable and cold. Service was great. Food was not up to the usual standard but certainly good enough in these times. Oysters were overwhelmed by their prep. Beet salad was bland and seemed to have been sitting in the fridge for a while. Fried chicken plate was quite good, including the greens and a superb biscuit, which was the best bite of the night.

Love this place! The food is absolutely fabulous and so are their fabulous cocktails! I will be back often!

The Duck Inn is my reliable stand-by for great food, great service and a relaxing atmosphere. If I have people coming into town, I try to take them to this restaurant. Everything I've tried has been unique and tasty. I particularly love their seasonal menu options. If you're looking for an unpretentious gastropub with gourmet food, this is the best place to visit.
Duck Inn has also seamlessly adapted to COVID restrictions by having a nice outside, open air area to enjoy a hot drink and have dinner.

We ate outside during one of the last gorgeous Chicago fall days. Our food was simply amazing and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the back patio. Our service was a a little slow and inattenative but I will write some of that off due to Covid staffing issues.

I can't wait to go back! It was great.

This place has it right, but of course the weather ws warm so eating outside on their patio was a delight. We shall see when the winter arrives....But the place was well attended with great, polite servers and terrific food..

My date and really enjoyed our experience at The Duck Inn. We felt completely safe with their COVID protocols and procedures and had a delicious meal in their comfortable outside patio area! We're already thinking about our next visit!

The roast duck is just as crispy and juicy outside on the patio! Do choose this for outdoor dining during the lockdown. Re the outdoor experience: The space was somewhat heated, but I recommend winter wear and stadium throws for max comfort.

They need more heaters for outdoor dining in the tent - it was very cold

Food and staff were awesome! Drinks were fantastic as well. Bring a coat you’ll be sitting outside.

Outdoor seating was safe and warm on a cold night. All the food was great and the cocktails were delicious.

Excellent and imaginative cuisine, beautiful patio, and a fantastic array of delicious drinks with clever names. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new neighborhood spot for some fancy food. My favorite was the upscale elote corndog!

Our first trip to the Duck Inn since the patio opened (we takeout people). What a miss on our part. That patio is roomy and beautiful.

The food and drinks are great as always. It's a restaurant and the food is delicious. They don't just focus on their tasty drinks.

The staff is great. Parking is easy. I can't think of anything that could be done differently

Beauftul patio with perfectly fitted tent. Fun drinks and good cheese curds. Next time, we’ll try the burger and hot dogs, and not repeat the duck. The rotisserie duck we shared had none of the qualities that get us excited when dining on tender duck confit, or the roasted duck I grew up eating with crisp skin, or the herb rub at La Route Du Miam in Nice whose recipe has been passed down for generations. The legs were not bad and were served piping hot so the meat fell off the bone, but the breast needs some work with seasoning and/or crisp skin. Definitely a cool venue though, so worth a visit.

Great food and drinks as always; great outdoor dining with warm heaters. Great following of COVID protocols. Excellent service, even when a flew flies went for a swim in my wine glass, which is gonna happen outside. Above & beyond and pleased as always.

I felt very safe there. Everyone was being respectful and responsible.

Everything was fine, they had all set up for covid, we felt safe, but food was just ok, seafood in general was old. Clams were like gum.

Hands down the best outdoor patio south of Cermak.
