Wonderful seafood, great view!
Great service and great food!
My favorite restaurant on the Ruston waterfront! Great food, drinks and service with a beautiful view.
Great view and delicious food!
Typically we have a great experience and food at the Ruston Way Duke’s. The service and staff are always friendly and attentive.
The meal started off with my daughter and wife each had a dingy of clam chowder and I had the seafood nosh bite....those were great. However, for the main course, my wife had the mixed grill where the only thing hot was the crab cake. Everything else on her plate was barely warm. I had the bigger bowl of the Pope’s Cioppino which is usually loaded with chunks of salmon, halibut, Dungeness crab, cod, and 4 or so wild prawns. Unfortunately, this time it didn’t have as much which made it eat more like a soup with a few chunks of seafood. We figured it must have been an off night as some places may be short staffed, etc. My daughter had the crab stuffed salmon which she said was really good.
One surprise was the almond slivers with the green beans. That’s something a person with a tree nut or peanut allergy should be aware of when ordering an entree.
We’ll be back, just not sure when at this time.
Food was great. Service was excellent! Look forward to my next visit.
once again we got a terrible server :( twice in 2 months so i have no desire to go back to this location
A local favorite and well worth it! The Cajun Corn Chowder is excellent, and the Original Clam Chowder should not be missed!
All in all a very good experience. Had a out of town business associate. Sat on the deck over the water. Although the weather wasn’t great the scenery was. Service was excellent...thank you Meagan! Food was very good, but over a hundred bucks for a lunch for 3 with two waters and a ice tea...one of the meals was basically soup and salad was too much. I always feel Dukes is a bit overpriced, but I still go once I a while as the food is very good.
Dukes is our families favorite place to dine. The Seafood is fresh, the clam chowder is award winning, drinks are great and the service is fantastic. The views are amazing !
We live in Nevada so we visit Dukes every time we visit the Tacoma Waterfront
Duke’s has some of the best service I’ve experienced in Tacoma, and their food and wine never disappoints. My son has food allergies. His food was exactly as we requested and they were super nice about making his accommodations.
Food was good and filling. Had a table socially isolated from everyone and got my free birthday dinner without any problems.
I was rather miffed I asked for a window booth and we were stuck by the kitchen while there were a couple window booths open. The food was decent although I thought it was overpriced. Not sure if I will go again.
Really good food and service. We sat on the covered deck, but the heater didn’t do much with the wind coming under the tent. Dress warm!
Our server was absolutely delightful and very attentive ❣️Food was delicious as always.
We will certainly be back soon

I do like Duke’s, but when I made reservations, I specifically said we were celebrating two birthdays, including a 50th birthday. The restaurant called that morning to confirm our reservation, at which time I reminded them of the birthdays. They said it was in their notes already. We were not given a very good table, and there was no acknowledgement at all of the birthdays.
Our server was nice and fairly attentive, and the food was pretty good. I just wished they’d have acknowledged the birthdays and put us at a good table.
Celebrated 3 Birthdays food service and view were amazing! Going to definitely be a regular fixture at this place. Service was excellent, really went out of there way to make sure we had a good experience
This is a "GoTO" place for us. We go four times a month and enjoy. Service is always excellent and the food is very good too. Make reservations early. They book up quickly.
Very good fresh food. The blueberry lemon drop drinks is amazing!
First, our waitress, Cortney, made our evening. She was great! Second, the chowder sampler was tremendous. My daily special was off the chart good and my wife’s salmon salad was stupendous. Don’t get me started on the desserts...I ate every calorie. Thanks to Cortney, again, for making my birthday dinner one of the best ever, ash for her when you gol
Dukes Tacoma never disappoints. We sat on the patio overlooking the water. What a nice peaceful view. As always, the food was top notch. I had a friend in town who is picky and the waiter was so kind to help her find something that she would like and didn't mind special instructions. The wait staff is always so friendly and nice.
We took our out of town friend to Duke’s. She loved it and so did we!!
Having not been in a restaurant for the COVID months I felt safe going to Duke's. It seemed very expensive to us, but the food was good and service pleasant.
Great service and food
We love Duke’s. Got a table on the deck and had the prawns as an appetizer with some signature cocktails. Dinner was 1pc. cod and chips. Their chips are delicious and served hot. Weather was nice for March and they turned the heaters on when it cooled down. Just a perfect mid-week date night.
It was all wonderful!!!
Consistently good service, food and atmosphere. Great views of Commencement Bay!
The food was great, chowders, dips, fish tacos and salmon pasta were all delicious! Waiters and servers were polite and very knowledgeable about the food, the area and the history! We had a wonderful evening! Marionberry pie is a must have!
Again another fabulous meal with great service!! We felt safe since the staff paid special attention to safety. It was so nice to make our reservation even for just three of us. We will returning soon! Yum!
Great attention to detail and accommodations. Fabulous visit and will be back soon!
Duke's Chowder House is our favorite restaurant! Kent Station was the first Duke's we tried a few years ago and over time, we have visited all 8 Duke's Restaurants. Each Restaurant has great service, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere!
Food and service were great! The marionberry pie was phenomenal!
Tara was awesome pampering my mom on her 72nd birthday brunch.
I work customer service and I wish I had 100 Tara’s that could work for me!
It was slow getting seated even though we had a reservation (they need to double up the hostesses) but everything after that was excellent. The food was what was expected and hot (unlike takeout) and we enjoyed it.
Our server was outstanding. Halibut excellent. Very noisy and the hostess seemed bothered to
Always a great place. Duke's chowder is 5* and the best anywhere!
Finally got to go out! Due to the new filter system, and the limited seating (50%)I felt it safe to go to Dukes and eat INSIDE. It was great. Food was great as usual and service was attentive.
Duke’s does not disappoint!
