Amazing food Service was very good Waiter was attentive and informative
Great food, ambience, service. Quite expensive though.
Fabulous Food and service! I’ve dined many times, I’ve never been disappointed
Dessert was nice. Pork was nice. Matching wine found wanting.
Excellent food excellent service
Top food. Top night. Will be back soon. Salmon starter was the best yet
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great food.
Fantastic service, delicious meal and lovely environment.
A delightful Saturday lunch. Food was just delicious - lamb and gnocchi were standouts for me, and the bread - Yum! Service: warm and professional; ambience: class + comfort. Exceptional value experience to be repeated soon.
Nick is a dream! We were also served by another gentleman but we didn’t grab his name. The service is the thing that makes the food and wine an experience, a memory. You won’t regret coming here! The gnocchi would be my final meal in this life….. it’s that good!
The fixed menu on Tuesday and Wednesday nights was good value for the quality of the food we received. We all enjoyed the trendy premises, and the open kitchen effect. Lovely food, excellent wine choices, and good service - a most enjoyable dinner with dear friends. What more can you ask for!
E’cco is always an amazing experience, and is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Brisbane. The food and service is perfection every time.
Food is absolutely beautiful!! I especially love the first course of Artisan sourdough & truffle butter with salt black ash ... I almost felt like aging for the 2nd serving (smile).
Dessert are simply .... a.w.e.s.o.m.e. experience
A great place to just trust the chef. Have tried the 3 course lunch menu a couple of times and have had meals I wouldn’t necessarily always order, but they’ve been consistently delicious. Staff are great too and very welcoming.
Excellent food and beautiful presentation.
They use simple ingredients cook to perfection.
The lunch menu is fantastic value.
The negative is that it's quite loud so it can be difficult to hold a conversation.
Fantastic food, amazing service and overall a great night! Highly recommend!
Food and wine is sensational. The service is impeccable and all staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It is definitely one of the best restaurants in Brisbane.
Our dining experience with E'cco Bistro was wonderful. The food was excellent. Particularly loved the Salmon for entre. We sampled almost every dish available, rudely trying each others food. Every morsel was gobbled down. The service was terrific, with each waiter being charming and attentive. Would totally recommend and have told everyone we know to go there.
Amazing food and value for money . Will come back again for sure
As good as I remember it in the city, great degustation.
Wonderful array of dishes. The beef was particularly good, tender and bursting with flavour. It was served at a leisurely pace and each dish explained by the waiter. Great choice of wines - we chose not to partake in the wine flight. Attentive service and good advice.
The old Ecco Bistro was brilliant, this new venue is very loud, not great ambience.
Further we were charged a $85 charge for booking a table of 8 - I have never heard of such a charge, that is ridiculous, the restaurant is benefiting having a large booking and then penalising us! Makes no sense.
The food was ok, but would have been much better if we didn’t have to yell to hear each other.
The main was cold, and chewy.
The waiters were average at best.
Not the e’cco of old.
We felt welcome from the minute the hostess greeted us and we appreciated the way our guest in a wheelchair was accommodated. (Also the follow up call when a walking stick was left behind). Food was spot on - every one of the 5 dinner courses. I don’t eat fish or shellfish and they happily substituted their signature gnocchi which I enjoyed. Quantities were good, big eaters were well satisfied, and light eaters didn’t leave a lot. Food service was excellent. One star off for drinks service which was a little slow, but it was a Saturday night and the place was full, so understandable. $89 per head is good value for the quality of this food.
Was a lovely dinner paired with spectacular wines. Nic helped a wonderful atmosphere and both Nic and the French server (I can’t remember her name) were knowledgeable about both the food and wine. Definitely will come back again
The birthday celebration was a delight apart from the very dark corner we were in.
I found it difficult to appreciate the visual appreciation of the food which was avoidable.
The quantity of food was perfect as I was a bit concerned about whether we could enjoy it all.
My wife and I enjoyed lunch at e'cco bistro on a busy Friday. The service was very good, with a charming young lady who welcomed us and saw that things moved smoothly. When a bowl of chips arrived that we hadn't ordered we were treated to a big smile and an invitation to enjoy them anyway. The food was superb, particularly the lamb main meal. It was very busy indeed and there were some well lubricated seniors sitting near us who rose the noise level a little [my only criticism] but they were there to have fun as we all were.
Very good restaurant. I would like to recommend it to my friends
Excellent food. Website advertised $79 set menu, but was $89 upon arrival. Wine by the glass reasonable price, but sparkling water, champagne, and cognac exorbitant prices.
Good service, nice decor, tucked away location, interesting menu.
This set menu was absolutely awesome. Restaurant always has wonderful ambience. Staff are amazing.
Good was amazing but the service just dropped off during the night.
In the end the wait staff were either nowhere to be seen of busy chatting and not interested in serving, even though I watched our dessert sit there for 20min melting.
Even had to get up and ask for the bill in the end.
Disappointing given the food was so good.
Every aspect of the 5 course menu was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food, great service - incredible evening all round.
Does what it says on the box but nothing more. A safe bet but not pushing any boundaries.
It had been a long time since visiting ECCO, the new venue doesn’t feel as classy as the previous one but overall is still quite good. The food and wines were fabulous, the European pairing of wines really spot on and delicious. The service started well but unfortunately became almost non existent after the 3rd (of 5) courses. We found ourselves waiting at least one hour in total for the last 2 courses. Our sitting was for 6.30pm so we were one of the first guests to arrive and we were one of the last to leave. Given the variables are minimal with a set menu I would have expected a more timely service towards the end of the evening for a restaurant with such a good reputation.
Amazing set lunch and every dish was amazing! We would recommend this to others.
Absolutely loved E’cco for a special birthday lunch. The food looked spectacular, works of art and tasted even better. The service was very friendly, highly professional and very cool. The ambience was perfect. We will be back again for the next special occasion. Definitely Christmas and maybe earlier. Truly memorable.
Always great food. There was a choice between 2 options for entree, main and dessert. As a couple we tried all except the cheese - both of us wanted the chocolate mousse and it was all good. Stand outs were the gnocchi (which I don’t normally order because unless it’s excellent gnocchi it’s not worth having) and the side dish of greens. Had a really nice mocktail and the service was warm and professional without being too formal.
Three course set menu for five people. Restaurant handled two vegetarians no problem, with prior warning. The server was professional and super efficient. They really took their job seriously and were kind as well. I think the serving sizes are a bit mean, but I suppose it is made up for by the beautiful presentation, wonderful service and ambience. Sound level is perfect - we could hear each other but could not hear other diners. I'd recommend highly for a special occasion providing that you don't have manual working young men along, who'll need a bit more food.
