Ed's Diner - Southampton

Fab meal with my Daughter. Amazing, friendly service. Definitely recommend

On arrival we were told there was no hotdogs (which is nearly half their menu) no chicken wings and no hot drinks. One of the meals had a hair on !! The chips were luke warm and the staff were just stood about talking to each other!

Lovely place for a quite bit in the middle of your shopping trip, large portions and amazing milkshakes! Lovely service and well organised. 100% will be going back!

Very friendly staff, even gave us a free milkshake for my son's birthday! Food was lovely arrived quickly. Only concern was we sat in a booth at the back and were then joined either side by customers. I thought with covid precautions that shouldn't be allowed. We were literally back to back! But couldn't fault the customer service and food.

Always a good experience. We eat as doors open so not many customers, but is has a great feel all the same. Will visit when it’s buzzing for a great burger one day.

As a coeliac, I always feel safe here and it’s great to have a gluten free menu for me!

Always enjoy going to Ed's for good food, delicious milkshakes and a great ambience. And the staff are all so lovely and helpful.

Ordered chicken Caesar salad which came swimming in dressing... making croutons soggy and everything else just tasted vinegar type sauce. Didn't have time to wait for a replacement

The menu has changed. Have the same breakfast each visit. Streaky bacon is fat, portions of beans and mushrooms lot smaller now.

Waited 10mins after our table booking time for anyone to see us to a table or open up diner. The QR table code didn't work to order our food, however food was nice

We booked our table for 12pm, once seated we were informed we couldn't place our food order for 20 mins as the kitchen were too busy.
Nachos came out with a couple of tiny pieces of mince which was a pay extra option..
Kids food came out 15 mins after 1 adult portion had been served.
This wasn't the experience I had last time which was excellent!

Always great food at Ed's. One of my favourite places to eat. Our waiter, I think his name was Mikey, was really helpful and friendly. Great service. Definitely 100% recommend!

Great service, good quality food & chic atmosphere.

Breakfast was amazing as always. Chicken and waffles best thing on the breakfast menu. The guy who served us was very polite and happy. It was another lovely breakfast experience. Eds is definitely becoming one of our favourite breakfast places.

Took over 10 minutes to take our order despite having booked a table. Plenty of staff and not overly busy but food took over 30 mins to arrive. Food was ok but very limited for vegetarians. We've been before and it was great but a bit disappointed by this visit.

Absolutely amazing food and service was great. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly plus the new vegan hot dog is definitely worth a try. Will definitely recommend to everyone.

We love going dinner and it was amazing service at the restaurant. When we told them today my husband's birthday they have told me about free shake for my husband. Its great food with best service even in this pandemic

We arrived for our booking at the requested. But due to only one server working, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated service was good, very quick, good value food. Shame the tables were close to each other, didn’t feel like there was any social distancing. But will visit again!

Food was horrible. Paid for large milkshakes for them to be half filled up and not mixed property with no flavour! And some of the staff were rude, had to ask staff for cutlery to be able to eat food because they forgot even when serving food and walking off! Worst experience

Everything about the visit was ok, firstly it was on the eat out help out scheme so probably has been busy but not a good sign when on arrival they read half the menu out as not available. No beer or cider is not good when we on holiday, starter was slightly over cooked we had the wings, must of been 3 seconds after I finished the starter my main was at the table so felt like we was being rushed out. The main was nice I had burger the other half had chicken bbq stack, the kids pudding was meant to be a sundae and the pic shows a glass with ice cream but came in a plastic bowl which lets them down , overall it was a nice place but could do so much better With the correct touches. If I had to pay full price for the meal I would of been very unhappy.

All food had run out booked for a birthday meal in advance, food that was left was felt like it was rationed and not a normal eds diner experience

When I first arrived I was left at the entrance whilst I got walked past about 3 times until I had to walk up to someone to get their attention. Even an acknowledgement would have been great but they just walked past me like I wasn’t there. Just an odd experience overall. When I asked for the table instead of asking if I had a reservation he immediately said “ it’s booking only” then proceeded to almost walk away until I stated that I had one. Probably wouldn’t return but the food was nice.

Great food and quick service. Staff busy so difficult to catch their eye for service but not surprising on a Saturday afternoon.

No social distancing. Tables were seated next to each other. Servers had masks on but under chin or under nose.

We had a great date night at Ed’s dinner would definitely go again

This was my first time as my children had already been, super happy with the food, prompt table service (both being seated and food and beverages)

Milk shakes were to die for!!

Very lovely staff and quick service. The food was very good and came quickly.

Get service on a very busy day with the help out to eat out. Staff where still smiling while under great pressure. Food was good.
