After hearing about how terrific this place was what a disappointment. The terrible table at the back right next to the washroom and the mediocre service. Food was basic small portions

Great food, good service, good drinks. What more could you ask for!

Love the ambiance. Food was also great! The cherry on top is the ambiance and the service.

Great menu that is vegan and gluten-free friendly. Fun atmosphere. Great drink choices. We will be back.

We were looking for something different and found it at El Santo. What a great place to hang out and try some different Tequilas and the food isn't bad either, try the guacamole trio as a starter and you won't be disappointed. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable and if they recommend something, try it.
El Santo is excellent and we will definitely be back sooner than later.

I cannot say enough about this delicious restaurant! We love it there and the cocktails are also delightful and interesting. The food is authentic cuisine and absolutely scrumptious.

Food was fantastic, cocktails were great. But when making the reservation and indicate a special occasion and nobody acknowledges the occasion even verbally, what’s the point of asking what the occasion is?

Our server was absolutely lovely and we still felt we had an amazing dining experience in spite of the COVID protocols. The food is superb and the menu has a beautiful balance of traditional and innovative Mexican dishes. You have to have their Margarita's!

El Santo is our favorite local restaurant for a special date night. Great service and amazing food and drinks.

Had an early NYE dinner here with my fiancé and managed to catch happy hour. The flank steak was amazing although the fish tacos were quite bland. 2 out of the 3 appies were quite good (the Quesadilla was also bland). Overall a lovely night with good cocktails too.

We’ve enjoyed dining at El Santo for years! Always excellent and one of our top 5 Metro Van restaurants for sure:)

One of our favourite spots in New West! Wonderful atmosphere and decor. Fantastic food. Love the salsas and guacamoles with the fresh tortilla chips. Try the perch-delicious! And don’t forget to finish with the churros. Our server, Jenalee, was attentive, helpful and personable.

The owner & staff at El Santo go above and beyond to make every visit an exceptional experience. The food, decor, ambiance and protocols to keep us safe are top notch. As well, they have an fabulous and unique drinks menu. We love their cocoa tea and that they carry BC wines.

Manager served us, really nice guy, forget his name but he's from the states originally. Blew us away with recommendations, being timely and giving us an overall great experience! Would for sure go back just for him and the amazing food! The cornbread is top notch.

This was our 5th time at El Santo and we have been satisfied and even impressed with the good quality and flavours. This past experience though left us disappointed, and I’m not sure if they changed cooks or recipes but our food was very underseasoned. I had fish tacos and I do not think there was any seasoning in the batter or on the fish. My husband had enchiladas and he said the mole tasted like a bland paste. I have left positive reviews in the past, and I do not think it was indicative of their usual quality but they need to look at those recipes and the cooking of them.
