El Torito - Woodland Hills
Food is good. Service is subpar. Busy and very informal.
It was wonderful I had a Valentine’s dinner with my family and it was great. Great server, food, and service!
Food was great and our waiter was awesome! He was very attentive while juggling two large parties.
Decent food, but nothing special. My biggest complaint was the bathroom that was filthy.
Always fun - live the brunch but may need to go back for a burger! Looked delicious
Worse restaurant and food Ever!! Customer Service was horrible!!!
This is the best brunch in LA - value and offering
Food was good and plentiful. I had the fajitas, and it's more than enough food. We also had margaritas. I thought they were a bit too sweet ad a little light on the alcohol.
Our server was very nice, and a manager was helping out. However, I thought the staff was way overextended. Our server had tables all over the restaurant, and there was another server who had tables between some of her tables. Not very efficient, so after good initial service, things slowed down, though not because our server wasn't working. She was hustling all over the place.
El Torito has been treated as a joke for many years, like Olive Garden. I used to go to the ET in Sherman Oaks a lot because my office was next door and it was "good", but not quite up to "very good". This was the first time in several years I had been to an El Torito. It has definitely moved up to "very good". All 3 of us were pleasantly surprised by the quality and presentation of the food. Also, although the place was packed, we were seated immediately at our reservation time. Finally, the design is such that even with loads of parties we were able to maintain a conversation without shouting. We will return.
My family has been coming for Thanksgiving buffet for years but this last one was SO disappointing! We got there and the containers were nearly empty. The food that was there was cold! The atmosphere was sad...there were lots of babies crying too. It was just awful. The food was refilled and served hot about 45 minutes later but by then we were done and we are NOT coming back. I strongly urge you to stay away on holidays!!!
The Woodland Hills El Torito is a great place to go for (pretty much) authentic Mexican food. There are so many options that everyone in your group will be satisfied. Everything was fresh and delicious. The servers were attentive and willing to please. We had a couple people at the table who asked for special plates and everything came out just right. It was a wonderful lunch and will be going again.
The buffet was a lot larger than expected. So many choices that it was hard to decide where to start. Breakfast food like bacon, soups, salads, enchiladas, tamales, pasta bar, omelette station, beans and rice, fruit, desserts, and a bananas foster station with ice cream. Literally something for everyone. On top of that, beverages were included. Coffee, hot chocolate, horchata, and bottomless mimosas. Definitely a good value and good service too. I highly recommend that you try the buffet.
Really had a great meal experience
Pork was not cooked we should have walked out. Too spicy and service was bad. The replacement food was like leather. Don't go there. Must be new owners again
Six of us (all adults) celebrated a birthday at a Sunday Brunch at El Torito, Woodland Hills. Most of us had not been to this restaurante in quite some time. We were pleasantly surprised with the ambience (not noisy at all!), the food selection in the buffet and the taste. Our waitress, Rosy, was outstanding! We will return.
Only thing keeping it from a 5 across the board is the noise level. OK for a bar, not for a restaurant with good food, good service, and comfortable seating. Noisy kids with uncaring parents can easily ruin an otherwise positive dining experience.
An old standby - good food, but great service and ambiance!
Birthday dinner - Main fajita dish (Ignite Fajita platter) didn’t come out sizzling, rice was cold and meats were luke warm. My sons French fires were cold as well. My debit card was misplaced at check out and found about 1/2 hour later by waitress ... Manager was really nice and comped a meal or two. The waitress seemed overwhelmed and busy. Yet nice - not coming back to this location unfortunately...
the rice was dry and we had to send it back. the music was really loud. my kids loves hearing the wait staff signing the happy birthdays to everyone. service was awesome.
Our waiter Anthony was great ! Food was delicious staff was nice. took us right away!
Great Sunday brunch buffet. Our family enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
OUR WAITER WAS SO AMAZING, VERY FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE & ATTENTIVE.
I ordered a BBQ Chicken burrito. It arrived stone cold. The waitress graciously replaced it...with another stone cold burrito. She had to choice but to comp me for it.
A great meal. We will be going again! Courteous staff and great service
My dear friend and I had a great time Easter Sunday. Food was great - service was great and no dishes to do afterwards.
Food was less than desirable. Maybe it was an off night, but food came out slow, cold not hot and enchilada’s were not appealing in any way. Too bad, will try again in the proximate future it not rushing back to try.
Great lunch buffet.
Nice brunch buffet with generous Mimosa availability.
Were seated at a table immediately upon arrival.Wait staff was friendly and prompt.Food was superb.
Although we used opentable, the restaurant had not received the message that a reservation had been made. Once the reservation was shown on my cellphone we were seated promptly.
As I choose to be alone on Thanksgiving ,and Christmas its always good to know you can always get your Mexican favorites on holidays but also turkey and ham with the fixings. please tip well as these workers are working for you
Great buffet and food choices
