Elevation Chop House and Skybar
Great atmosphere and service, there was one issue with one of the food dishes which was quickly resolved. We will definitely go back.
My family loves Elevations and they always have great food.
3 thumbs up... I will definitely do this again. The food is awesome
The food was pretty good but not as flavorful as I was hoping. The waitress was very attentive and kept on top of keeping our water filled. She did not however do a check back. I wanted some more sauce for my eggs. I do highly recommend this place. My kids and I love watching the planes take off and land.
I have had good experiences with Elevation restaurant in the past. However, my recent visit is not satisfactory. The environment and service were excellent. One of our dish was good, but one of them was unacceptable. The issue was the cooking method. The Tuscan Steak was extremely dry (over cooked) and cold. I could not eat it at all. I just ate bread (complimentary piece) and drank water. That is not a cheap dish and should be cooked correctly as was directed!!! I did not wish to return it at the time in front of my spouse. I was planning to stop by the restaurant and chat with the manager.
Food was amazing!!! Drinks were cool to watch and delicious!!! Highly recommend this place!
Awesome. The NITRO Martini was fantastic
Great location, we got to see a lot of planes coming and going. The food was under seasoned and over cooked. Would be a great place if they improve the food.
The Valentine’s Day brunch was perfect! We had to get the liquid nitrogen margarita because they ran out of the champagne for the mimosas, but that was such a great substitute recommended to us by our waitress. The food was very seasoned and filling. I did not even need a to-go box as I usually do. The atmosphere really created a relaxing vibe that was not a typical Valentine’s Day spot. My partner and friends were very impressed. Would recommend again and again!!
We were partaking in the Valentine's Day special. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy the Surf and Turf, due to the kitchen running out of steak. We considered leaving, however; due to the time, after 9pm, we decided to stay. My other issues, the band stopped playing and the ambiance was slightly ruined because everyone started cleaning around us.
Valentine’s dinner - quite enjoyable and delicious!
Great Valentines dinner. Service was terrific. I thoroughly enjoyed the jazz music playing. I wish this was done more often.
The food was off of a set menu for Valentine’s Day. It was not impressive or worth the cost. The venue itself is run down, but the service was great. Definitely recommend their drink menu over the food menu.
When we booked the reservations it shows that there would be lobster, filet and seabass on their menu and none if them were on the menu..the food that they offered was amazing just a little disappointed that nothing was offered as stated
Great place, food was just right and employees friendly and engaging.
Loved it. We will definately be back! The service, food and atmosphere was wonderful. The view was great and just a great quiet place to be and enjoy
Waited over an hour for our food, which we never ate. We left without eating. Drinks and desserts were comped. We may try again on a regular day. Today was terrible and disappointing for a first visit.
Really good. a lot of money for what you got. too a whole but that was expected. Love this Place !!
This is a very nice place to take a level one I went with my date for Valentine’s Day and it was an excellent choice great food great drinks great service the place was just overall amazing I would definitely say it’s in my top five if you go don’t forget to try the nitrogen martinis
Food was awful. Overcooked meat and lobster. Undercooked asparagus and potatoes. It was a fixed menu for valentine's day, but they didnt even deliver what was on the menu. Cheesecake was frozen. Ridiculous to serve this at $65 per person.
DO NOT EAT HERE ON A SPECIAL MENU NIGHT. Took my wife for Valentine's day, they only had 4 main course options. To start the appetizers came with no silverware, had to ask and ask again for a spoon for the soup. We dont know if the soup came cold or it just got cold waiting so long for a spoon. Main course wasn't much better, the lobster came so dry and overcooked it was crispy, and again had to ask for the butter it was supposed to come with. Finally dessert came and could only eat around the still frozen part of my cheesecake.. luckily the candle on the table served as a defroster so I could finish.
Very nice place and the food was very good. The service was a tad slow and they overcooked my steak by a degree.
Too many tables were set up. The filet mignon was overcooked due to it being tips. My wife's entree was supposed to have mashed potatoes but they brought out roasted potatoes. $185 for a 3 course menu should have really good food. This was mediocre but good. The main issue was just way too many tables and it was too bright to be an intimate Valentines Dinner. Our table was in this middle row and people kept trying to cut between our seats which is unforgivable to whomever set it up. With the interior lights so bright the windows overlooking the runways turns into a giant mirror and you can't se out. This all seems elementary but for some reason these people don't understand front of the house issues.
Went for valentines day with their pre fix menu a couple years ago & it was awesome. Went this year & everything from the food to the service was awful. Not to mention not cheap. Ordered the filet which came out of skewers ??? Tough & not edible. Sent it back only to see almost everyone else sending theirs back as well. Talked with waitress who said everyone was complaining. They didnt offer to comp the meal, have the manager come over or anything. Highly disappointed.
This was THE WORST meal -- the meat was extremely tough and chewy, and it as served rare (asked for medium well). I this had been our first meal at Elevations, it would have been our last. We made reservations for Valentine's Day because of the great food and service we usually get there. Man, were we disappointed, especially considering we spent over 200 bucks. Wait staff was very good; however, the manager came by and asked how our meal was - I told her how bad the steak was. She basically said nothing that made me feel any better. Very sad.
The quality of the food was very poor. Maybe the regular menu is better but the food offered on the menu for Valentine’s Day was horrible. Not only was the food not cooked to order the sides were not hot and very bland.
Excellent all around, and with superlatives in preparation, service, taste, and ambiance. We choose Elevation to remind us of our first date at a small airfield in downtown Louisville KY. The feel inside is reminiscent, but it's also a fabulous standalone venue in which to enjoy great food and service while admiring the history of McCollum Field and aviation in general. The prix fixe menu was rich with options, and we each choose something different from the appetizer, main course, and desert. Sharing them was a delight, and the service was always attentive, not intrusive. A perfect night to celebrate Valentines'!
HINT- do have the red velvet cheesecake!
Terry and Ted
I don't know how I missed this restaurant, but I'm happy that I made the discovery. Brittney, our server, was amazing, as was the manager on duty. The food is excellent and attractively displayed. Our party enjoyed Grouper, pork tenderloin and beef brisket on our visit- all very good. It's also fun watching some of the frozen nitrogen cocktails being prepared tableside!
Always had great experiences, staff members are extremely friendly and knowledgeable
The food was excellent. We had the queso and shrimp appetizers, the filet, pork tenderloin, and chicken Parmesan. The kids chicken tenders and the Mac and cheese wee also great. The table service was great. The meals were large portions for the price. The only reason that we gave this 4 stars overall is because we had reservations but it still took them 20 minutes to seat us.
$3.00 Bloody Marys were tasty. Food was good. Great views. Service was slow. Our order was prepared wrong. Decor needs a bit of a redo. Overall, enjoyable experience!
We sat at our table for quite a while before our waitress came over for even an introduction. It was an expensive meal for sports bar service. I do not recommend the flat bread, as it has the quality of a frozen pizza. The steaks my wife and I ordered were not cooked to the proper temperature, and flavor was OK. Overall, I would not recommend to friends.
Roxanne was amazing! She took incredible care of us!
Good meal. We had 4 meals between us. The seafood special, the filet and the bacon wrapped pork filets were fantastic. The bourbon salmon wasn’t very good. The salmon was fine but the bourbon glaze tasted like nothing but salt.
Excellent food and the drinks made at the table are fantastic. Love going there and will be back
This place is lovely - great for family occassions.
Jessica is one great bartender! Great food! Best mashed cauliflower!
Had reservations for 4:45 on a Saturday: Food was ok, service was ok but the waitress told us their bread wasn’t ready yet and that she would bring us some when it was ready....she never did. Vegetable beef stew literally only had one tiny bite of beef included - it was mostly carrots. One of their daily specials was very limited - waitress said they only had two left...... sounded like a sales pitch to me considering it was only 4:45pm. Good ambiance but the restaurant was pretty cold. The best thing about this place was being able to watch planes go by.
Great ambiance. Love the Nitrogen Martinis.
