   Dinner service was top notch. Despite dining out on the patio, we never felt ignored. Jose made it a point to check in with us frequently. The scallops with lardon was awesome. Would definitely return on our next visit to the DC area.

   Our server seemed absolutely clueless, not bringing parts of dishes (aka a fried egg that was ordered on top of avocado toast). The burger was thin and tasted like it came from the freezer. Not good. I was brought lukewarm old coffee (told this) and never given a fresh cup. No substitutions whatsoever (can’t eat potatoes and no vegetable sub. allowed). Service was not great. We were celebrating an occasion and it was not s good dining experience. Definitely will not be back.

   Our dinner was like night-vs-day compared to our prior dinner at this Ellington Park Bistro. This time, the pacing was even and unhurried. This time, we were seated in the upper room rather than the crowded front window area. The sommelier visited our table and suggested a very nice Malbec not shown on the printed list (no Malbecs were listed). My "King Salmon" was perfectly prepared. But the asparagus spears were plainly sauteed with what looked like some onion. Sadly, the stalks were tough and fibrous.

    Four of us went here for the first time. There were some issues with the valet parking and our table was not ready when we arrived. However, once we got though those hurdles, we had a wonderful evening. First and foremost, a shout-out to our server Vafa. Vafa was personable, knowledgeable and guided us well. He did a great job and we will request his section when we return. Three of us had the beet salad and I had the roasted escargot. The roasted escargot was superb and the beet salads were fine. Three of us had the roasted lamb rack and one of us had the branzino almondine. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the accompanying ratatouille was delicious. Our tablemate enjoyed the banzino. Of the three desserts that we tried, the creme brulee was by far the best. We had a very pleasant evening and will return.

    We loved it! Small, intimate and pretty corner bistro w/ staff aiming to please. The bartender, Van, enjoys his work, creates fun & created some yum beverages. The sommelier, Carolyn, is knowledgeable & generous. The food is varied as per a bistro & very good. We’ll be back!

    I had an outstanding dinner at Ellington Park Bistro. The food was excellent, and the service most especially was perfect. I dined alone, but Jamie (?) sat me at a nice table and along with her waiting partner was the absolute best.

    Delicious food and Impeccable service in a lovely setting, a table quiet enough to have a conversation without straining to hear, all in all a perfect evening for our group of four. Our orders included three different appetizers, main courses and desserts, nearly all great. Don’t miss the lump crab deviled eggs starter and the chocolate pot de crème dessert.

    Ordered a margarita before the meal. The waitress said “blanco”? I said yes assuming she was asking if I wanted white rather than gold tequila. I was shocked to see a $15 charge for blanco plus a $5 charge for the margarita. $20 for 1/3 of a glass cocktail during a happy hour dinner meal was a bit much and I felt like I was suckered.

    Overall, a great dining experience. The host, servers and managers were fantastic!! Great personalities, appropriately attentive, and all around pleasant. With so many great restaurants in DC, such wonderful employees make the difference in where to spend your hard earn money. Oh…and the food was delicious!

    We enjoyed Ellington Park very much. The place is small and cozy. I read reviews before going and one of the main concerns was the service. I must say the service was perfect. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Never disappeared. All our food came out at the same time, The sommelier Carol was wonderful. My husband knows a great deal about wine and he enjoyed talking to Carol who suggested a wonderful bottle of wine. The only negatives are some of the menu items ie: Beef tartare that did not taste or look like beef tartare and the beef bourguignon was not "stewy". The onion soup was outstanding. Yes, we will return and give Ellington Park another chance. Bon appetit!

    Just about perfect. This is a small restaurant attached to a hotel. But unlike most hotel restaurants this one turns out really high-end food. I had the chicken cordon bleu and my husband had salmon. Both entrees were excellent. The wine list is manageable with reasonably priced options. We had a good French viongier priced at $60. An all round pleasant experience.

    Service was very personable. We felt like they were there just for us and the food was delicious, perfectly cooked duck and fish and very tasty. The best part was jow quiet it was. We could actually have a conversation!

    The service was slow, uninformed, out of sync with good food. The hostess forgot I was there and directed guests to the bar for 20 min. We waited at least 20 min to be served water. The linens smelled funny and it was complete chaos among servers when clearing plates and delivering food.

    I was meeting a girlfriend for brunch, and at first site the venue is beautiful. We were seated, and a waiter took our order. That was the last time we saw our waiter! My friend's chicken was not fully cooked; she ordered chicken and waffles. The waffle was very good. I ordered quiche, and was not pleased to see cubed ham as opposed to bacon in my quiche, and it wasn't warm enough for me. I also ordered fries, which I had to ask about three times before they arrived. We eventually were helped by the server Angie, who was the only bright spot in a bad meal. Unfortunately we will not be returning, nor recommending this spot to anyone!

    Great food but the service can be better. Not very on top for the care of their customers. Asking for some bread and be charge an extra $2 for it, is a little gauche.. just saying.

    Huge disappointment. Service was terrible. Food was worse. The space while pretty was hotter than DC on an August day. Rubbery scallops. Soggy fries. Bad burger. Run away and run far.

    The problem with the star rating system is there is no where to put half stars. The food was inconsistent-some entrées were not good at all and some were fairly good. Nothing was outstanding, however. At this price point, a person should walk away saying that was outstanding. So I would never go back because I just don't see value.

    Lovely spot, the high ceilings and big windows are great. The food was a little too complicated so I ordered the smashburger which came with lukewarm fries. My companions were so-so about their flounder/mouselline dish. Great Ceasar salad. Our waiter was great and the dirty martinis perfect.

    Beautiful restaurant with tasty food. Service started out great, but then went downhill as the restaurant got busier. Bottled sparkling water poured without asking, but was removed from check once we disputed the $9 charge. Hotel prices, and did get upsold on a glass of rose, which turned out to be more than those listed by the glass on the menu.

    Overall disappointed in Easter Brunch. Our reservation was somehow in the system twice. We were sat in the back no table cloths for Easter at a table the hostess threw together. However there was a marble table in the center of the dining room set for seven, and was never filled. We found out later that was the other reservation under our name really? The service was extremely slow and multiple items that we ordered came out incorrect, or a totally different order, very unfortunate as we met in DC for family celebration.

    We went for the Easter brunch. It was fine but I really expected the experience to be much better. The food was lacking, perhaps because it was a prix fixe menu on a holiday. The French onion soup was room temperature, and the eggs were watery. Overall, the experience was fine, and we enjoyed it, but this will not be on the top of my list for brunch anytime soon.

    I was very disappointed. I chose the restaurant to meet 2 dear friends for a special brunch. Service was terrible… I was looking around trying to get our server to bring us cocktails at brunch- a no brainer. She took care of everyone but us. Then they were out of bloody Mary’s and our choice of proseco. The drinks we ordered were awful. Food was ok but certainly not a repeat.
