But nice view and ambiance

A great place to be. Right by the water with a view of the bay, the moment you walk into Elwood Bathers you feel relaxed and welcomed. The decor is tasteful, clean and bright. The staff friendly and accommodating. We ordered fresh oysters, seafood pasta, fish and chips and a delicious John Dory for me. Accompanied the meal with cool wine and beer. We had a 6 year old with us and the staff were very helpful to accommodate his food needs and ours. A wonderful lunch and a good time was had by all. We look forward to returning to Elwood Bathers.

Love it here. Food and service amazing, great view and a bit quieter at present due to less people, more space and a later booking to avoid families. Even got a free dessert when they misheard our order.

Went around in circles with the staff and processing my order. Had to explain issue to multiple staff. Waited a round for nothing. They couldn’t tell me if my order was processed twice. Food took over an hour to come out.
Lucky the food was yum. But I ended up eating alone.

Lovely location, really good wine list and food. We shared the cured trout, fresh bread and each had a smaller size Frutti di Mare pasta. Would go back for sure.

Apart from the waiter almost dropping my husbands food on the floor and then still serving it to him... my steak being over cooked twice and the margarita cocktail tasting like sea water I have to give this place 3 stars because their starters are good and the service was good. Keeping in mind it wasn’t busy the uninterrupted view of the bay is beautiful.
Only good for a quick bite and a bottle of wine, wouldn’t recommend for mains and cocktails.

Not your fault but it was so busy and noisy. Fortunately the waitress found us a quieter table. Will not book for a hot Sunday again

Great location let down by a boring, overpriced food menu. Staff were great though.

The restaurant and the staff were amazing. The view beyond amazing, spectacular. We just found the prices were very expensive for what you got but having said that the food was very good. My only real complaint would be I ordered a cocktail which was listed as 18/38 and assumed my drink was $18.00 but was in fact $38.00 for a "large" drink - had I've been asked if I wanted a small or large, going on the prices I would have chosen the small - a Pimms with lemonade, a bit of ginger beer and fresh fruit at $38.00 was in my books very expensive.

We expected a bit more of an upmarket experience and the menu was quite small.

The staff were very good and the service was prompt without being rushed.
We were all disappointed with the restricted menu and would have preferred more options. Most were disappointed with both fish main courses both in flavour and texture. My fish and chips were over-fried and that destroyed the taste, so I was unable to finish the meal.

When did a schooner of beer become $14.50? I know it’s been a while since I’ve had a beer out, lockdowns and all but I don’t remember it being that pricey

Very good seafood pasta, service excellent, we booked in advance and requested window table, it was perfect.

Magnificent view, very basic lunch menu, certainly no show stopper, great atmosphere, tables, view, but the menu could do with a refresh. Menu presentation is really basic, no "wow" factor.

It was the best New Years Eve dinner we have ever had! The menu was decadent and generous and the staff delightful! They went above and beyond for the occasion and we loved it!

Service was good and prompt but menu is limited and expensive for burgers ($30) and pasta. Fish was tasty but small serve and $42 sirloin steaks were again tasty but fatty. Tasty meals but small serves and not interesting enough to warrant the price. Enjoyable ambience but not good value for money.

There was nothing particularly wrong with Elwood Bathers- food was nice enough, staff were friendly enough and the place was a lovely location. Unfortunately though, it seems you were paying for the view - burger was nice, but not worth $35.

A limited and relatively basic menu combined with loud, bistro-like ambience made this experience just "ok" - really friendly service and good food, plus excellent wines were the standouts of the evening. Oh, plus that view.

One of our favourite restaurants and yesterday's visit did not disappoint - most enjoyable occasion .....

We love Elwood Bathers & go every year after Christmas. We said this year the service was the best we have ever had...although it has always been excellent. Food was amazing. And it was lovely to look out onto the beach. We will be back!!

Had a very enjoyable late lunch at Elwood Bathers. The crumbed pork cutlet was outstanding. Staff and service were fantastic. Only downside was how noisy it was and the simpler dishes such as hamburgers, were priced a bit above the odds
