   It was quiet when we arrived ~8pm on Sunday, with only one other table in the restaurant. The host sat us immediately and a busser brought us some water. More than 5 minutes passed without being greeted by a server, when a large party of about 12-15 walked in and were sat. There seemed to be only one server working the floor, who immediately went to that table to help get them set up (place settings, water, etc), while we continued to sit there without anyone else coming by. We’ve now been sitting there for more than 15 minutes without even our drink order being taken, when we noticed the server had started taking their order. After pretty blatantly staring in her general direction for a few minutes, we finally caught her eye, and a couple minutes later, the busser came by and took our order. Our drinks, followed by our pizza and salad, came out quite quickly; but we had not received our appetizer. The server finally stopped by for the first time to check how our food was, and we noted not having received our appetizer. She went to check, then came back and said it was “coming right up.” Nearly 10 minutes later it arrived, indicating that it was probably just put in when we asked about it as opposed to coming right up. After she dropped off the food, that was the last we saw of her at our table. We had to flag down the busser to get soda refills (for which they charged 🙄), and before we even finished eating, the busser dropped off our check (then thought to ask if we wanted anything else after the check was already on the table). Thankfully, there was a QR code on the check that allowed us to pay by phone, or we might still be sitting there waiting. The food was great, the service was extremely disappointing, to put it nicely. We’ll probably order delivery from Emmy’s in the future, as we’ve always really enjoyed the food, but the experience last night will likely have us considering other options for dining out in the neighborhood.

   Overall, I would recommend and return. The pizza and cocktails were delicious. Due to low-manning, there was only one waitress working; however, the bartender gentleman assisted her by taking our initial order.

    They didn't have their vegan cheese, so that was a bummer, and they could use spinach as an option for their build-your-own 'za, but we the pizza we had was delicious. The staff is so kind and attentive and professional. Awesome. I wish they kept the lights a bit dimmer, and the noise level was a bit higher than I'd prefer, but overall, a good experience. The staff contributed to that immensely.

    The good Paulie pizza was buttery and delicious! The caramelized onions pIred so well with the white sauce and sausage with the gouda cheese giving it another layer of flavor. My favorite was actually the delicious drinks that Sheila recommended. The honey peach smash was sweet and summery while the pomegranate margarita was tangy and slightly tart.

    Awful service, 0 attentiveness from the servers and no input when we had questions on menu items. Manager totally realized this and gave us 2 free salads and a dessert while we were walking out so that was much appreciated. Such a shame because the pizza is truly awesome

    Emmy’s was fine. The service was remarkably bad, I think because our server was also handling their to go orders. We sat down and ordered a drink & app, but the server literally did not come back for another hour to check in on us to get our entree order. Once we ordered our pizzas, one was great & the other a soupy mess on top. Overall, not worth the $100 tab

    Disappointment… for the 4th time. My family has enjoyed Emmy in nyc so much and we’ve tried the Shaw, Navy Yard, and Alexandria locations all which have been a massive let downs. I will not be coming back to another Emmy squared again. My burger was barely cooked!! The staff didn’t seem to care that it wasn’t cooked at all. Whoever is managing or running the ships over there is terrible. Either close the doors or sharpen up. Shameful.

    The ordering service was very confusing. We could order food via the QR code but had to order drinks through the server. But then you could not make modifications to food orders on the QR code. We had one persons food order arrive 10 minutes before another persons food arrive. And then the final two peoples food arrived 10 minutes after that. Additionally the drinks all came with the last persons food so the first two people finished their food before they got drinks. We like the food so will come back to give another chance, but service was bad
