The food was good and the atmosphere was appealing, so there was a lot to like about the restaurant. Unfortunately, the service made the overall experience less enjoyable. When we were able to engage with the servers, they were pleasant, professional, and clearly trying to be helpful. However, the restaurant appeared to be significantly short-staffed. Our main server disappeared for long stretches, which made even simple requests difficult. We often had to wait quite a while just to find someone to ask for something, and then wait again for the request to be fulfilled. One example really captured the experience. We ordered a bottled beer for my dad along with the other drinks. The drinks arrived at the table at different times, but the beer—the simplest and presumably quickest drink to serve—never came. We ultimately had to ask three different servers before it finally arrived. I don't fault the individual servers, because everyone we interacted with was courteous and professional. This seemed much more like a staffing or service-management issue. Unfortunately, even good food and a nice atmosphere can be overshadowed when guests spend so much of the meal trying to get basic service. There is definitely potential here, but the service needs to be better staffed and coordinated to match the quality of the food and atmosphere.

Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. Some meats were tender and excellent, a few were dry and overcooked. The house specialty beef was outstanding, was the leg of lamb. Chicken breasts were dry and not flavorful.
