Fabbrica at Don Mills
nice place , comfortable,
pizza v good
fabrica salad was like a salt lick , no godd way too salty with whatever they used
fish white good
cannoli no good the cookie part not real , re work that
service good except the minute you put ur fork down they are on you to take everything away
While the food was good, I thought it was over priced. Our wait staff has little to zero personality. Very disappointed in their dessert menu.
Even after all these years, this place is a staple. Pizza is always thin, crusty and delicious. The service is also wonderful. Love having it in the neighbourhood
Lots of flavour.
Just ok mall food. Expected better given the chef name. Service was rushed and terrible.
Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my dad's birthday. The place was not too busy. Our waiter, Curtis, was great - checking in to make sure everyone was happy with their food and keeping our wine topped up. Great service and great food.
Service was excellent from
The hostess to our waiter. Food was really good - definitely will go back
Fabulous food, ambience and service - McEwan does it right on all fronts and you always know that you are going to have an exceptional experience when dining at one of his venues.
Service and food are excellent! Noise level was overpowering making it difficult to have a conversation or hear servers!
This was our first time eating at Fabbrica and we were very impressed. Our group had pizza (some of the best we have had anywhere), gnocchi (lovely), chicken and salad (delicious) and lemon ricotta pancakes (great). The restaurant was much quieter than most which we appreciated. It was easy to carry on a conversation. Service was very good. The only negative thing was that the coffee was not very hot. Other than that, a wonderful experience and we will be back.
I love this restaurant. Never disappoints!
Great food as always, was a bit louder than usual as we were seated in the front/bar portion of the restaurant, which is not my favorite seating area. The only thing that could have been better was once we were ready to get the bill, we had a hard time flagging down the waitress. She had been attentive to our table all evening, pouring wine etc., but nowhere to be found for at least 20 minutes after we were done with our cocktails and desserts.
I had dinner with 2 friends and we shared food and enjoyed it all! The manager was very friendly and apologetic for a loud group and topped up our wine, which was much aprreciated!
We stayed for almost four hours with no pressure to leave.
Not our first time (or last) - Wedding anniversary - food was fantastic
Consistently good pizza. Good ambience to catch up with friends. Candidly, the Service could have been more attentive and perhaps friendlier.
Great spot for brunch on the weekend but dinner was disappointing.
Octopus was rubbery. Not good. Not as it should be, and not as I’ve had it here in the past. Not rushing back to Fabbrica.
Evening got off to a rough start when the second half of our party was told that there was no reservation and that they may want to go to another restaurant even though the first half of our party was welcomed and taken to our table less than 5 minutes earlier. There was a lengthy wait for our food as the restaurant was quite full. Wait staff did their best to refill glasses and keep us informed. Two of the four meals were only room temperature. The food was plentiful but unremarkable - overpriced for what it was. The women's washroom was filthy. As we got up from the table to leave we had to step over lemon slices on the floor. Seriously? I understand that sometimes details slip on a busy night but this didn't seem up to a McEwan standard. Sad as we were so looking forward to the experience --- a let down.
Bad service until we complained, then we're very attentive. Fettuccine was bland, the other food was good.
The short-rib fresh pasta was awesome. Overall very good food, but a little pricey for a biz lunch
Everything was exceptional! Staff was friendly, helpful, quick to attend to us. Their sorbet was not at the right temperature to serve so we got an extra scoop of gelato and still got to try the sorbet for free but they were quick to let us know and correct the issue. The food was delicious! High quality and fresh and it was quick to come out. They cook their pizza in a pizza oven and the crust is perfectly thin. Ambience is wonderful. Not very loud. Family friendly. All staff was great! Already recommended it to multiple people! Price is on the higher end but totally worth it!
They mixed up my order and brought chicken rather than steak
They apologized and the chicken was not bad
My wife and I each had a salad and shared a pizza. I had a 6 oz. glass of house wine and we both had a cappuccino. Our bill was $85! We found the salads very over-dressed and should have ordered dressing on the side. The pizza was more than ample and delicious. Our server was very attentive. We were told that tables were not available because they were expecting a couple of large parties (which never materialized) and consequently put in a booth near the bar that was not very comfortable. We had to ask for the music to be turned down so we could have a conversation.
We had octopus salad and meatball appetizers, octopus was nicely done. And the meatball delicious.
For main, we had prosciutto pizza and a steak salad. Fresh salad but nothing too special. The pizza was oh-so-delicious. I would go back for the pizza for sure.
Meh. Fairly mediocre food and service for a premium price.
Enjoyed the ambiance and service. Great attention to detail. Cozy and not too loud. I had the burger which was delicious with side if Brussels sprouts and eggplant Parmesan. The bocochini in the summer salad was fresh and flavourful. We shared a pitcher of sangria that was full of fruit and well balanced. Highly recommend this place. I would definitely go back.
Outstanding service and delicious food. Consistently wonderful! It is one of our favourite places to eat.
Birthday was great. Thanks
I am a repeat customer but I haven’t been for a while. The quality went dramatically down compare to our previous experience.
Our server was fabulous... food was sub par. Underwhelming at most. We’ve been a few times but after this will likely not return. Over $300 and really not worth it.
Having friends visiting from out of town Fabbrica seemed like the ideal spot to rendezvous with them. We arrived a tad early and were seated to a booth/table in the dining room. We asked if the hostess didn’t mind if we preferred sitting at the adjacent table because it had comfortable individual chairs. She graciously moved us over remarking “whatever makes you more comfortable.” Our server arrived promptly and we ordered sparkling water for the table until our friends arrived. Summerlicious was happening that evening however we all declined to take part. The food was delicious. We ordered 3 appetizers amongst the four of us. The portion size on the appetizer salads was huge. It reminded us of Florida restaurants. The Roasted Beet Salad was yummy. The candied pistachio nuts gave it an additional kick of sweetness. The Caesar salad was a classic presentation. For our mains we had an eclectic mix of dishes. From the Vitello Alla Parmigiana to the Orata, Pizza w/Prosciutto & Arugula and appetizer Meatballs with a side of Rapini. We all agreed it was a delicious meal experience. I tried the Pineapple/coconut Sorbet to finish off which I was informed is made in-house. The check arrived and it wasn’t sticker shock. A fair price for what we received. We’ll be back next time we’re venturing to the upper east side of the city.
Awesome meal and great service! Thank you Fabbrica
Food was amazing .
The service was good, but waiter not very attentive, took a while to order and get the bill.. Had to call them over...
Not worth the visit . Poor service and all the food came out at once. Wine and drinks arrived when we were paying the bill .
We gathered in a group of 4 for a ladies Birthday Celebration! The ambience was lovely and the Summerlicious Lunch menu was great! Very enjoyable experience!
Our Summerlicious lunch was another enjoyable experience. We both chose the Polenta Frittella as a starter. They had a nice, crunchy exterior and creamy interior. The serving size was generous but they could have used a bit more blotting to soak up the frying oil. For mains, the Mafalde Primavera was tender with a nicely flavoured sauce. The Salmon Toscano was properly grilled and served on a bed of bean salad. We always enjoy the Panna Cotta; lovely and smooth, topped with finely chopped strawberries.
Burrata salad was very tasty
Pizza fungi was special and goid
The Dessert we chose was not available, the alternative was average
We tried the beef carpaccio, beet salad, Fritos, and octopus Appetizers which were excellent, generous portions, and delicious.
The summer licious menu was limited, I tried the pork and was disappointed, it was bland.
