Our concept has changed from an "Oyster Bar" to a light bites and cocktail venue.

Set atop of the charming Fairmount Hotel, right in the heart of downtown San Antonio and next to the Hemisfair Park, this rooftop offers one of the best views the city has to offer.

Covering the rooftop of the south half of the hotel, which date all the way back to 1906, the Fairmount terrace is a much more new and modern space. Equipped with comfy lounge furniture, as well as a partially-shaded rooftop. Perfect for sipping cocktails while overlooking the park and the San Antonio skyline.

We made a reservation, but when we arrived we were told it's all open seating. Then why is there a reservation option? There was only one bartender covering the whole rooftop service. We were told we couldn't order food because the kitchen at Silo/Nonna was closed on Sundays - when the restaurant was clearly open and serving food. None of this info was shared when I called to confirm and modify the reservation on the same day (from 4 to 6 people) So we had to leave.

The view is very nice, the rooftop seating is great on 2 different levels. Gloria, the bartender was terrific. She not only had good recommendations, she explained the seasonal drink preparation and delivered a fantastic drink. She was very attentive and informative. Selection and taste of cocktails were really good, as were the snacks. Overall, very satisfied and excellent value.

Basically had the whole rooftop to ourselves going on a weekday date night- well worth it! I'm sure it is an awesome spot on the weekends. Got the ceviche, olives and oyster with champagne!

Not worth the price. It was boring atmosphere, $20 drinks and very small portioned appetizers. I got the ceviche and it was served in a mini martini glass. We left and went to another spot on the river walk. I understand downtown pricing is like that everywhere, but they didn’t even have music on and the rooftop view was all construction sites.

Went to eat oysters at the so called oyster bar. After we sat down Were told they don’t serve oysters anymore. Tell us in advance Not after we have drinks and try to order

The vibe was just right and the service was great. However the menu, which was what we came for, was not the food being offered. The new menu had 5 items not even remotely related to their online menu and the arancini had no flavor at all. We were very disappointed in that but our waitress was very personable and the ambience was great for an anniversary dinner.

They are "re-doing" their menu and do not offer any sort of meal at the rooftop bar. They offer small appetizer type things but nothing that would satisfy as a meal especially for a 16th anniversary. We ended up going downstairs to Silo and was blown away by the ambiance and service of that location. if evening drinks with a view is all you are after then this may be a place for a drink or two but beware they are very expensive here. 2 drinks with mediocre service ran us $35!!
