   Excellent service and delicious food. Website misleading as early bird menu shown on website not available . I understand it was because it was Mother’s Day but would have been nicer if they updated the website and not mislead customers. Everything else was excellent.

   Despite arriving early the restaurant staff graciously found us a table. Both the set lunch and a la carte menus catered for tastes at moderate prices. The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed with the linen table cloths adding to an air of elegance. Service was very attentive without being overpowering. We chose scallops for starters and saddle of lamb as the main dish. The scallops were cooked to perfection with a subtle taste of bacon which did not overwhelm their delicate taste. The high standards continued with the saddle of lamb cooked pink. We selected garlic mash and broccoli to accompany the lamb all washed down with a nice Montepullciano. The meal was completed with a nice cheese plate This city centre located restaurant is ideal for any occasion. We would have no hesitation to highly recommend this delightful eatery.

   Unbearably loud in here on a Wednesday night. I’ve been taking my parents to Fallon & Byrne for years. Always had a good time in the lovely dining room, great food and service. Last night was terrible. Too many large groups meant the noise level was atrocious. The service wasn’t great as the waitress couldn’t hear us and didn’t seem to be trained. The food was actually really nice but the experience was ruined by the chaotic service. The manger eventually came over after we were finished but didn’t really say anything to our complaint. Won’t be back here for a long time.

   Lovely venue close to Sth William Street and Sth George’s Street, above a great wine bar. The menu is limited with amongst others a couple of nice fish dishes which tasted wonderful. The wines were reasonably priced and while the choices were wide, it was fairly standard but saying that, there were some good options. The room resembles an old style Paris restaurant, beautiful if a bit noisy. The service was helpful and fast but there are some touches that were absent, like helping guests with their coats. But bottom line, I really liked it.

   Very convenient location for lunch with friends. Lunch menu required all of the group to take the lunch menu or else take the a la carte menu at a higher price. We felt this was somewhat restrictive for some diners who only wanted 2 courses instead of 3 courses. The staff were excellent - very attentive and courteous.

    Overall, my experience was great. Here are just a few suggestions/ feedback: 1. For the burgers, it would be better if we have options for doneness of the meat, or at least was asked (medium, medium well etc.) 2. The portion for the salmon salad was extremely small. But the taste of the dressing was good. 3. The Squash soup was excellent. Good portion as well. 4. We ordered hot chocolate sundae also for my niece, the birthday celebrant but she was just given a vanilla ice cream, no chocolate on it. But on the receipt, it says chocolate sundae. 5. Lastly, it would have been better if the bread were warm. I have tried other restaurants in Dublin and they serve warm bread. For the ambience, the place was extremely quiet and as if no background music. It was like a library. I have travelled around the world and trying out nice restaurants, I find this place nice, but still needs improvement on other things. The service provided by Bogdan was great. He handled it professionally. It was just 2 staff when we were there.

    Steak and halibut for mains, lovely selection of wine by the glass and a beautiful dessert. We had a gorgeous meal, really outstanding. Only small gripe is that the tables are very very close together, and we happened to be sitting beside someone who was so insufferable to the wait staff that it was hard to listen to. They couldn't have been lovlier or more professional I'm response.

    This was my second visit in a month. Food service and overall experience was excellent. There is a great wine list . There were five of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

    Excellent service, so professional and efficient, clearly well trained staff. Delicious food at very good value price point for early bird. Reasonably priced good wines. Only one drawback and that is the noise. Although a beautiful room , it was so noisy that we had to strain to hear and speak to each other. The room needs some form of noise reduction inputs. Would love to go back but thus would affect our decision. There was a range of ages in group and all agreed about the noise. Such a pity as the evening was lovely otherwise. There is a big difference between a room veing ‘energetic’ and just too loud.

    I first ate in Fallon & Byrne over 15 years ago and have always liked the room and had many good meals there. However our recent visit was poor and after previous similar visits, I don't think we will be going back. There seems to be an epidemic of overpriced restaurants serving mediocre food in Dublin today. Maybe it's the rents? I don't know but it is a shame.

    Great service , lovely atmosphere and the food: Great varied menu with lots of tasty options. Oysters were so super fresh, like tasting the sea AMAZING ! Will be back and would highly recommend.

    Fabulous food, especially starters & orange cake dessert. Good service, though service is included in bill & we were told it wasn’t so added a cash tip & it is already pretty expensive! Lovely restaurant, good for a special & smart evening out.

    Sunday night was very quiet so hard to judge on atmosphere.. but the staff were lovely and the food was nice but slightly overpriced in places. I felt dessert menu slightly let it down. But overall a very pleasant evening.

    Had a great atmosphere and ambiance, server was very nice. Atlantic halibut was amazing (10/10) but the steak was horrendously cooked. Asked for a medium rare on a ribeye and was cooked rare, even almost blue. You never cook a ribeye rare this is common knowledge for anyone who cooks. The fat was solid and meat was too hard to chew. This is a 40+ euro steak we are talking about. Was very disappointed with that which is why I give two stars for food and value.

    Just the place for a birthday lunch, in a dining room somehow both large and cosy, with an a la carte menu that makes choosing a pleasant difficulty, brilliantly prepared and served by lovely staff - a treat!

    It's really disheartening when you're charged €42 for a steak (that's not even cooked properly) and get served frozen chips. In Ireland! It's almost offensive. Really average food. Very pricey for what it is. Won't be coming back. Service was good and staff was nice and polite.
