Lovely wine and good service

The sharing platters (The Works) and the choice of wines were excellent. We all had a fabulous evening with excellent service & attention from all staff wine bar members.

Yes I have been here a few times and enjoy ambience food and of course the wine would recommend

Delightful evening, table was nicely situated, food delicious and wine not overly priced.

It was COLD COLD COLD. We were frozen! We asked if we could be moved or get the heat turned up but no luck. We were told the next time to book to mention we want to sit on a warmer side.

As always the Wine Cellar was a lovely experience. Friendly staff and delicious food and wine. I hop to be back really soon

Busy spot as always. Great for a group. Good food and great service. What's not to love.

It was a great food, we went for the bottles that you can choose from the cellar, but the corkage was 10 euro for a bottle which was a bit extra so no second bottle was a choice for us.

The food was exceptional, all mains had this amazing flavor typical for the meal , the antipasti was big enough, the truffle honey is one of a kind.

Overall, it was too noisy and service wasn't great, they wanted to clean our table while still eating, also the chairs weren't very comfortable and the ground wasn't flat, my chair was moving.

Very nice atmosphere with delicious sharing boards. Excellent choice of wines by the glass. Very busy at 5pm on Saturday so I am glad we booked. We had to wait a long time for our bill but were helped immediately at the main bar when we went up to ask if we could pay the bill as we were needed to go.

Food to share was amazing but it took us a while to be served, literally needed to be looking around trying to catch one of the waiter's eyes.

Our server was so lovely. I don't remember her name but she was from Brazil. We ha da great time picking our wine from the cellar and she advised us on the different options.

I've been coming to Fallon & Byrne for many many years and have always enjoyed fabulous food and a great atmosphere. I visited with a friend on Saturday evening - just before the 'after rugby rush' - and although the food tasted great, my main dish was between cold and lukewarm. A bit disappointing. The place was nowhere near full capacity so no excuses really. As I wasn't picking up the bill, I didn't make any comments but it could have been better!

Good for wine and nibbles after work. Always very busy which can affect service.

Terrible service, food was ok, nothing special. The waiting staff were rude and lacked basic knowledge about food eg recommended a charcuterie platter when asked for vegan options. The standard has dropped considerably since I was last there and I won’t be returning.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here in a group of 10. Lovely table and ambience but the service was poor. Staff rarely came near us we had to keep getting up to ask them for more wine, food etc, and it seemed we were inconveniencing them when we did so. They then proceeded to have an argument amongst themselves when I asked for a candle in a dessert (which they could not supply). I did not feel the service warranted the service charge that was applied to the bill. Sharing platters of food were nice, if a little overpriced, desserts were very good.

This wine cellar is perfect for a casual glass of wine and some nibbles, which is exactly what I was looking for.
The ambience in the room is great and looking at all the wines on display certainly sets the mood.
We opted for the Charcuterie board, the olives and crostini with dips between the 2 of us.
The olives were lovely, unfortunately it ended there, there was more bread on the Charcuterie board than meat, which was a choice of Parma ham and salami, I felt more of a selection would have been nice.
As for the Crostini.... again bread over load with 3 little dips that no way would cover half the bread, the bread was crisp but extremely greasy, not the toasted type with a drizzle of nice virgin oil that’s for sure!!

The wine was pleasant for what was ordered, a Spanish red and all wines were reasonably priced with nice variety.

The service here was extremely attentive, friendly and welcoming.

I would return here for a glass of wine but not sure I’d take the chance on the nibbles part.

We had a fab sharing anti-pasta type dish with lovely Malbec wine. There’s a really nice kids menu too. Only issue was that we waited over half an hour after ordering as our food was given to another table. The coffee was not good either.

Enjoyed it so much on Monday, we went back on Tuesday for dinner! Great place.

Couldn’t get red wines of choice, offered white wines at room temperature, food rushed

Food is absolutely amazing but our waiter came to our table half way through our main course to give us the dessert menus to rush order if we wanted anything as the kitchen was closing, this was only at 8:30pm and interrupted our dinner making it less enjoyable. The place is very cold some of our party kept their coats on and finally the bathrooms were in absolutely vile condition they clearly hadn’t been cleaned at all that day

Great place for a festive night! Hard to hear but lots of fun and very good food and wine.

Only downside, and it's only a minor one, no soft furnishings makes it very loud. But one glass of wine in you and that doesn't matter anymore.

We are regulars to Fallon & Byrne - Exchequer Street Wine Cellar and often come to enjoy some good wine and food. I think this is the first time the service was absolutely disastrous. The table was booked for 3 people, girls night out. When we arrived the table was set for 2. Waiter brought us cutlery ( no glasses) we made the order and she brought the bottle ( still no extra glasses) we had to ask for it 3 times. White wine ordered was not chilled, no ice bucket. Waiter didnt offer to try/taste the wine before pouring and just left it on the table. We had to chase her multiple times when we wanted to order extra water, food or desert . No attention to the table when the food was finished. We sat with empty plates for ages. To be fair we have been in the wine cellar multiple times, I think this was the worse experience in terms of service so far.

A great restaurant and night. On Mondays and Tuesdays, you can grab a bottle of wine off the shelve and only pay a one euro corkage fee, which is excellent. Also, the food was delicious; the mixed board was great to get the truffle honey added for a lovely treat. Also, the potato wedges with the basil aioli were marvelous.

The overall experience was good. However within earshot, actually in a very loud voice, one of the staff correct another in quite a stern manner. This should not have happened in front of customers. He should have been spoken to somewhere else. A very disappointing aspect of the venue was the bathrooms! They badly need refurbishment. The doors of the cubicles were dirty and scraped. They need repainting. The toilet seat which was supposed to be white was so dirty, stained brown underneath the actual seat, it was disgusting. It was like being transported to a dingy one star public toilet. My husband was equally unimpressed with the gents! The soap and hand lotion were the only nice things in the ‘loo’ experience!

Very pleasant evening! Food and wine great! Noise started to rise about 9.pm! Time to go!!
Will go back soon!!

Everything was lovely! The food and wine. I just found the high stools uncomfortable, when sitting on them for a period of time.

Service was terrible.
Cheese and wine, well you can’t really go wrong with that, cab you!
My husbands fish was burned and so were his chips.
Not sure we’d go back in a hurry!

They let me book for 1000 hours. double checked if bank holiday will effect the times but no mention of it. Poor service and will never book again.
