Farmer's Table - Bay Park
This place is always consistently excellent - fun decor, great menu and attentive service. It is one of our "go to's".
Delicious food, great service. We sat in a room that only served 4 tables so it was very quiet and intimate. The main room is a bit noisy. Excellent service!!
Instead of cooking on Thanksgiving we enjoyed a very delicious meal at Farmers Table. The food was delicious, the menu had a lot to choose from and the price was great.
The cioppino was so good. Very high-quality seafood and The soup was almost like a bisque. There’s so much on the menu I want to try. We go to their Mission Hills restaurant fairly often and trust that whatever we have is going to be lovingly prepared because it always is.
It was the best Thanksgiving Dinner that I have ever had, start to finish.
Deliciuos Eggs Benedict, waffles and breakfast burrito...lovely friendly staff and very cool decor...will definitely return
Your restaurant has become one of my favorites and I have told many of my friends about it.
The staff is friendly, courteous and on top of it. Sabrina the GM is ‘the bomb’. Hot food and great Bloody Marys! Don’t miss The Barnyard. Have your cameras ready!!!
Nice ambiance, employees and customers with their dogs. Trendy feel. But the food is only so-so.
We love Farmer's Table La Mesa and Little Italy and were so excited when this one opened in Bay Park but sadly it is not like the others. This was our fourth visit and will be our last. The service was good and the ambiance fine but the food was more than disappointing for all four of us. My friend's pork chop was dry, my Vegetable Napoleon was hot in some spots and cold in others and my husband's risotto was very runny. We SO wanted to like everything but it was not to be. I am sad to write this not positive review but we feel giving the restaurant four tries was more than fair.
This is our third visit, so obviously we like the place. Two of our diners ordered one of the specials, both of which were not very good. The other three all ordered menu staples which were all good. All the appetizers were excellent as well. So all in all it was a nice dinner. Great service, nice wine selection.
The space is absolutely adorable. The food was fantastic and you can tell it is fresh, made from scratch. The service was wonderful. We came later in the afternoon on a Friday and it was pretty quiet. Would definitely recommend!!
Nice venue for a get-together with friends. Outdoor seating allowed us to easily chat without having the volume of the background music interfere. Excellent service.
Another great dining experience at Farmer's Table. Will be back!
A lot of brunch/lunch choices. Used the Westways Magazine recommendations when ordering. Service not very fast and a mistake made on my order.
Pappardelle Lamb Stew had lots of soft lamb with noodles and sauce. Bucatini Norma was OK but could have used more delicious, soft eggplant (bit skimpy). Duck was also ordered, but don't know what guest thought. Excellent service from Sergio. This was probably our 6th or 7th visit.
What a great neighborhood place! Much needed in that area and we will be big supporters as we truly enjoyed everything about it!! They’ve got a winner for sure!
Great service, staff went out of their way to make my party right at home. Staff very attentive and knowledgeable on menu items.
Food took over an hour. Had to send back fries for being burnt. Once the food returned, the fries were raw. Chicken was tough and over cooked.
The hostess also marked my reservation as “unattended” and OpenTable thought I missed the reservation.
Food was great, service was super Dow and our server was not very attentive despite it not being very busy.
I've been here twice for brunch. The food is excellent, the ambience relaxed and enjoyable, but the service is poor. The first time I was here I asked for water and hot tea as we were being seated. I ordered the American and reminded the server about the drinks, which had not yet appeared. The food was lovely, but the tea and water didn't arrive until after we'd started eating - not at all what we had in mind. There were only 3 other tables of 2 occupied at the time, so it definitely wasn't because the staff was overly busy.
At the second visit, a week later, I asked for the beverages as soon as we were seated. Again, they didn't arrive until after the food was served, even though we reminded the server twice between ordering and being served. This time there were 4 other tables occupied. I again ordered the American, looking forward to the wonderful meal I'd had the prior week. This time the order arrived with beans instead of the potatoes I'd ordered. Both the scrambled eggs and the beans should have looked glossy, but instead they looked like they'd been held under a heat lamp. I told the waiter I'd ordered the potatoes, not the beans, and he said he'd bring them - offering no apology for getting such a simple order wrong. When he finally brought them, announcing my "side of potatoes" I'd finished half my meal, and I'm a slow eater. As with the eggs and beans, the potatoes also looked like they'd been sitting awhile. Instead of the toothsome and delicate crunch on the outside, they were limp.
We sat on the patio both times, which we loved because it was light and airy, and we could actually converse in a normal tone of voice without competing with music. The food the first time was outstanding. It's a shame that the service is such a betrayal to their food. I'd like to come here more often, but I will think twice before suggesting it to a dining companion again.
Service was slow and the requests we made when ordering (soup before entree, something on the side) were missed. The roasted fennel soup was the sole standout. The pecan-crusted chicken sandwich was blah and the steak on the steak sandwich was chewy and bland. Overall, a forgettable experience and we likely won't return.
Love the vibe, but the food was not fully cooked (vegetables and cheese not soft/melted in omelet, vegan cheese in eggplant sandwich was literally an unmelted block - tasted terrible fyi, pizza was not crispy whatsoever). Taste was there but quality was not
We shared a kale salad. My husband had lamb and I had the pork chop.....both delicious.
Waited nearly an hour for our food, with our waiter nowhere to be found (except once to tell us it was “up next”). When it came out the food was cold and very oily.
Great Ambiance, Food was good but could improve, Customer service was also great - if food was great, I’d give this place 6 stars
Food was delicious. Service was not good. After our food was delivered in a very perfunctory way by the person who delivers from the kitchen, our waiter disappeared and all other wait staff ignored our table of four for lunch. The restaurant was not busy, so no excuse there. Finally we had to snag an employee who was walking by and ask for coffee and for our table to be cleared. Another waiter came to clear the table and deliver coffee. We were never asked if we wanted dessert (they probably could have made a sale there), and no one offered any explanation for our waiter disappearing or offered an apology. Usually bad service like this is a result of bad management and poor training of employees. Too bad, because the food was very good. Unless it is a hot day, the restaurant can be cold, since is indoor/outdoor, so if you go, bring a sweater.
Lunch with a friend. Overall, everything was very nice; however the acoustics make for a noisy atmosphere and often difficult to carry on a conversation.
Very comfortable setting with good brunch selection. Coffee is so tasty.
Beet salad, chicken entree, cream of broccoli soup all very good. The salad with arugula, fruit etc needs a better dressing. The limoncello cake with marscapone was incredible. Our server was outstanding. Beautiful view out the patio at dusk. Plenty of parking. The comfortable fabric cushion chairs are refreshing in this era of spartan restaurant seating. We will be back!
Unless you enjoy getting one entree and salad, 2 beers and 2 glasses of House wine for $100; don't go. The food was excellent, the waiter didn't bring me my sides nor often check to see how we were doing. Granted he seemed to be the only waiter but there were very few tables taken at 4pm
So great to have this restaurant in a location that will, hopefully, appreciate it and support it! Super menu and really good fresh food! Add terrific service and you’ve got a winner!!
We have had dinner there twice. Both times it was great. The first time it was for restaurant week which was nice to try different items. The second time was to celebrate a birthday with a party of 8. Both times the food was great, the service was spot on. Overall we really liked it.
Went for Saturday brunch and the service was bad. The server was nowhere to be found for the entire meal and they weren’t even busy. The food was just ok.
Everything was wonderful. Waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the coffee was amazing. My friend and I will return.
Great food, amazing service and perfect price. Everything was amazing. My waitress was on top of everything. Thank you for a great night.
Very much enjoyed our restaurant week meal; fun choosing the four courses.
Wow! Such great food and appetizing presentation. Excellent wait service.
I love the use of local food. The difference was in the taste. My eggs and French toast were fabulous.
I'll be back.
This is the second location of Farmer's Table that we have been to and although the food was just as good as the Little Italy location, the service was sub-par. We had to ask multiple times for bread and water. When they did bring us bread the first time they gave us three small slices (there were four people at our table). Then when we had to ask multiple times for more bread. All of our food was not brought out at the same time and one person had to wait for much longer. We finally had to ask another waiter where his dish was because we couldn't find our server. Overall, the experience was not worth the price.
