    Spicy chicken was not spicy, very little flavor. Duck was dry served on a strange bed of cabbage. 51 Noodles had far too much sauce with too much peanut. Price points were high, especially for what was delivered. Overall, there are far better choices for Chinese Cuisine in the area.

    It’s always such great food here & for such a great price. Their servers are great, they are just a bit understaffed. LA lacks good Chinese food, but not here. It’s great!

    The food was not good at all. I sent back my chicken once and got a new dish that still had no flavor. The table was sticky and gross. I also saw 4 rats through our my meal. Even though I was sitting outside they were very close to my feet and it was uncomfortable. Would not recommend

    There were a few dim sum offerings . The quality was very middle of the road, not great, not bad. The Hot and Sour soup was definitely off. They had no fried noodles, which surprised me. Overall, the food is ok for a chinese restaurant in other parts of the country, but definitely sub-par for Los Angeles.

    Second trip here—both excellent. Service very cheerful and attentive but not intrusive. Enjoyed walnut shrimp (not too sweet), beef thinly sliced in tasty noddles with lots of veggies, fun dim sum sampler, and unique red bean buns. Good arrived quickly. It was quiet on a Monday night. Ask for an alcove if you want more quiet, or a table if you like to be in the middle of things. I liked that the price on the menu is the price you were charged with none of the extra fees and surcharges that have become too common. A lovely evening

    Food was interesting. Because I was with Jewish friends, I opted to select a lot of chicken dishes so I didn’t get a chance to try as many pork dim sum as I would have liked but as it turned out, the one pork dish I selected they liked the most! The next time I go here, will try what I want. lol

    The food was yummy but the service was just not great. Took forever to get a waiter to get our order and when we ordered the waiter seemed bored and he then forgot what we ordered. Then it took forever to get a check from them. The restaurant is pretty and food is good but the staff could be kinder and attend to tables more

    One of our favorite places and great Chinese food on the west side. We've been over 10x and never had a bad experience. Staff is stretched a bit thin at times but generally are very nice and professional. We take my mom here every time she comes to visit LA (from Honolulu) and she thinks the food here is better than most Chinese places in Hawaii as well.

    Great food, good service. It’s a very large space; great for large gatherings. Food came out quickly and served hot. Enjoyed their half price dim sum on Sundays along with regular dishes. We ordered several different dishes and all were yummy. Plan to go back.

    The vibe is nice. The inside is large and open. Open wood, no ceiling with wood structure is appealing. The food portions are large. For example, Hot and Sour soup can accommodate 2 - 3 people. We had the Hong Kong Ribs. They are extremely tender. Sauce is not sweet. They are salty and do not taste like ribs typically found in Chinese restaurants (not real Chinese, but American style Chinese). Kung Pao Chicken was nice. It does not have any "sauce" so to speak. This may be challenging for you if you wish to add this to rice. They use five spice, which is not my favorite, but may fit your palate. This place is pleasant, and I suggest you try it.

    I’ve eaten the best dim sum at Yank Sing and Koi Palace in the Bay Area and let me tell you, this underrated Culver City joint must have a super talented chef in da back da house because all the dishes my daughter and I tried Friday afternoon were truly delicious and outstanding!! What got me were the House Veggie Egg Rolls and the tofu wrapped Yuba rolls. The first bite into the Egg Rolls just said it all, fresh ingredients, stuffed into a thin flour wrap, rolled by hand and lightly deep fried to a perfect crisp. Same with the Yuba Roll, with a nice crunch and tasty meat filling. The Xiu Mai is pure pork heaven and made to order. House Xiao Long Bao plump and juicy. Both were classic home runs!! And hats off to the Fifty One’s take on Hot and Sour Soup with a rich and dark peanut filled broth, maybe with a Northern Chinese influence but it was superb!! Nice, cordial service by our Canton server Jorge……Fifty One is definitely the place for Dim Sum in Culver City!!

    Everything on the dim sum menu was amazing. The flights of sake were delicious . The service was hhenomenal. We had a party of 6 and everyone is talking about coming back to Fifty One.

    Very happy that I made a reservation because it was more busy than I’m used to. I would have given full five stars, but waiter had a little bit of an attitude, maybe he was stressed. All in all great Mother’s Day. We love Fifty One Kitchen!

    Food and service was great. Portions were larger than expected and tasted great. Server recommended the fried Har Gao, which was the favorite. We sat outside during a Lakers game, so noise was high, but likely atypical.

    Delicious food, with extremely large servings. The Shrimp was among the best we have ever had. And I have been searching for years for string beans that are crisp and tender. The ones at Fifty One were absolutely perfect. Our waiter couldn't have been more helpful. We will return soon.

    Food was served extremely fast. At one point we had our entrees, 1st course and second course all at the table at the same time. By the time we got to our second course the food was already cold.

    We were 6 people and all ordered the set dinner menu. The food was fantastic! The service was great! But our food all came out at the same time and our table was overwhelmed with all the various dishes. With that being said, we will be going back and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

    Underwhelming in EVERY way!from the long wait at the check in point, to being pointed to the table to SR, followed by no one taking any order, to the waiter who audibly told a busboy that he was more overwhelmed than EVER…after 20 minutes past our initial reservation we got up and left.

    The food was ok. a good neighborhood Chinese. Unfortunately they were sorely understaffed and the place has a lot of tables. There were only two staff people and one bus person trying to handle about 20 tables, phone orders, seating...etc. They were super sweet and apologetic. Id give it another try.

    Unique chinese food with large menu and lots of vegan option. Hot and sour soup is the best and different than others I've had. Love the little enclosed tables. Great spot in the hood!

    Celebrated my birthday at 51 Restaurant and the layout has changed since my last visit, which was before Covid. Two points - I would have preferred a round table as it was hard to make conversation with the square tables joined, since there were (6) people. Secondly we ordered (6) dishes and if we wanted, had to ask for bigger plates. Thought that to be weird given how much food we ordered. Hope the restaurant makes a change on this. Small plates should be for appetizers only. Overall had a good time.

    I am a return client Sundays are 50% off Dim Sum So any other day just order off the menu Everything on the dim sum menu is good Culver city location is better than SGV San Gabriel Valley or Alhambra on any Sunday! Favorite eats - bbq pork bun, fried shrimp ball, har gow, fried turnip cake, XLB, Siu Mai pork and shrimp and sesame ball. But everything is good.

    Decent experience but nothing to make me want to return. The food was ok, but the garlic lobster for example was small like appetizer size and they charged as an entree. I asked my date how she felt and we were on the same page. I had high hopes for this place and just feel it was a bit underwhelming.
