We had a very good dinner at Finestra. We were greeted promptly and requested to sit indoor. They accommodated us and we had a nice table. Music while dining is important to me as I don't like loud fast music while dining and carrying on a conversation over drinks and dinner. The music here was a quiet and pleasant background. This is the start of good dining. The food was very very good. I had fettucini with meatballs that was excellent. Good food and good service is a reason to return to this restaurant. My only suggestion would be to get better Italian bread for the table.

Perfect for Valentine's Day. Cozy, private, heated outdoor bubbles, wonderful food, fantastic service. Looking forward to returning.

Amazing Covid set up!!! Ate in the plastic “igloo” with heater! so warm! the branzino was fabulous and lovely wine and service!

Lovely restaurant with nice waiters

Finestra is my new favorite restaurant. I am expecting my nephew and his girl friend for a visit

and I intend to bring them here. Food is great and the ambiance is comfortable and warm.

Service is also great and the waiters are all helpful.

Dinner for three - my wife, her brother, and me.

Finestra is a small, lovely old school Italian restaurant. And there is nothing bad with that, especially considering the chains and other tourist traps one can find in Manhattan.

We started by sharing two orders of the mussels in a spicy red sauce. The portion was small - so two orders were needed for three to share.

My wife and I then shared the chicken parmigiana over spaghetti with marinara sauce. This was excellent - and the chicken was cooked perfectly - moist and tender, while the pasta was a perfect al dente.

My brother-in-law had veal amoroso (a variation on veal scallopine). He said it was delicious and left a clean plate.

We then had dessert. My wife and I shared ricotta italian cheese cake - which was very good - but not the best we have had.

My brother-in-law had the chocolate mousse cake - which was a large portion that said was excellent. He accompanied this with a cappuccino that he said was delicious.

Dress is casual. Service was excellent - with no pressure to turn over the table.

Worth giving Finestra a try if you crave good Italian food.

I love this restaurant. The food was delicious. My salmon was fresh and cooked at perfection. For dessert I had their homemade Tiramisu. Mmm..simply delicious. My husband and I had dinner here a few times we always enjoyed our meals.

Finestra was a very good value. The service and the food was exceptional. They took care of our

coats and explained the specials. The menu was large enough that there was a choice of entrees

and we were served our drinks and bread as soon as our order was taken. We will soon be back.

Food was slow coming out of kitchen but the waitstaff was doing their best to make it fight. Food was very good but not abundant.

Always wonderful. There were no ceiling decorations that night - they are getting ready to hang winter decor.

We liked it very much. The decor is colorful and charming. The service was warm and helpful. The chicken Paillard very good as well as the salmon frittata. Have the tiramisu. We will go back!

My eating partner was late for our reservation but the server was very polite and said there was no

problem and she seated me. I really dislike waiting for someone and she made me comfortable

and gave me a menu and I ordered a wine while I waited.

i always enjoy it and they always have a delicious pureed soup for me. It is my favorite for that neighborhood.

We had a wonderful time. The fish special was fresh and delicious. We had Tiramisu for dessert. Yummy! We loved their wine serving size. We will be back.

We love Finestra and go whenever we’re in NYC for Dr appt at MSK. The food is always good and we love that it’s never overly noisy. Had the salmon with mustard sauce this time. Really good! Looking forward to going back.

This is our third visit to the restaurant. All three times we have dined at the restaurant and all 3 times family was not disappointed. Food tasted fabulous.

Absolutely delightful! The seafood salads were delicious and generously sized. My friends and I celebrated a birthday and the staff could not have been nicer. They were accommodating, kind and gracious

Husband and I shared a Caesar salad which was tasty. He had the linguine with clams and I indulged in the gnocchi with marinara. Both were very good. I would give them both an excellent if we hadn't just been in Italy. You know how that goes. Wine was perfect but, unfortunately, no room for dessert. Our waiter, Sal, and another waiter, Paul, were both the most congenial servers we have ever met. We will return our next visit to NY in a few weeks.

This is a nice neighborhood restaurant. The prices are moderate, good service & the food is good.

Really like this restaurant. First of all it’s very cute with colorful umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. Second of all the food is really good. They make a great blood orange martini and the homemade tiramisu is worth the calories. As for dinner...the pizza is a thin crispy crust, just the way we like it. Both the veal and the chicken francese were delicious and I love the papardelle contadina. The duck special with risotto was also delicious. Will be back again soon.

Food was average. Server took too long to take the order. Window was leaking and they didn’t do a thing to remediate the situation. Would not return nor recommend.

The grilled seafood salad of the lunch menu was delicious, the shrimp perfectly cooked. Service attentive and friendly. An attractive room, noise level very low. And a great location, just a block away from Sotheby's auction house. I'll be back!

Unusually attractive neighborhood Italian with reliably good food, quiet and appealing.

Nice old style Italian restaurant tucked away in the UES. Servers were friendly and accommodating. Space is small and intimate yet capable of handling 1 or 2 large parties of 8-10 people. Food was delicious and serving size was ample.
