FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Nice setting but food only average and very overpriced
We had fabulous food and drinks and the staff were lovely , will be back soon and would highly recommend
Fab as always! One of the best restaurants in Dublin.
Food is always fantastic!!
Probably wouldn’t go back. Service was okay. Food wasn’t the best. Veggie option was cold and not cooked through. I think they need to renovate the place and figure out their marketing strategy. Don’t try to be give five star service (miss the mark) and then have booklets on the table to say you do cocktail classes. It’s a very mixed message.
The best food and service as usual couldn’t fault this restaurant again always good time here brilliant service
And thank you Andrea who was a fantastic waitress made us feel welcome
Food was average at best. We spent nearly €500 and feel ripped off because of it. The waiter wasn't exactly friendly and was constantly making faces and had an attitude. The place looks very nice but is definitely not worth the price.
We went here for Valentine’s Day and it was absolutely brilliant. The steak was one of the best I’ve had and the service was perfect
Very nice great service, very polite and professional, unfortunately the cut of meat I received wasn’t of great quality but still, lovely restaurant overall
Fantastic food in a lovely setting. A great way to spend Valentine’s Day. Thank you
Although we had asked for the meat to be well done it was medium ... and it took about an hour to get served
The restaurant has a good range of good choices and very good service. It has a lot of business diners due to its price range.
I was expect high quality of meat as price is high but this was definitely not worth this money. Bernice souce was like butter and dessert was so simple...
We had heard great reviews and had to try it for ourselves. Food was so delicious, staff were so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was amazing. We will be back.
Disappointing. The promise of the reception area and bar was not fulfilled by the restaurant which is barn-like and lacks intimacy. Likewise the menu was unexciting although the food was acceptable.
Disappointed from the start. When we arrived on time we were told the table want ready, and that we could have a drink and we would be contacted in 15 minutes when they were ready. This was fine but 30 minutes later we still had not been approached. At the bar we had the pleasure of passing a number of hen parties, not the restaurants fault but when one individual is mindless drunk, drops a card reader and then 10 minutes later spills a table of drinks I think it is time to intervene.
Table service was good and myself and my two friends were tentatively served. However, when you order at 9pm and dinner arrives at 9:45pm and when you order a rare steak for €45 euro and it comes out cold, that is just down right criminal. I’m disappointed with myself for not saying something at the time but 1 hour and 30 minutes after we were to be seated I just wanted to eat dinner with my friends. I won’t be back to the restaurant, there are better steak restaurants in Dublin.
We arrived at 16.45 and were given the early bird menu. When we went to order from it we were told we couldn’t even tho it was before 5pm that we were to late. Why give it to us then? Very disappointing if you really wanted it.
It was very very noisy.
It was a bit over priced for the quality of the food. Many restaurants that have similar quality for cheaper.
An amazing restaurant. Great food and fabulous staff. Such a fun vibe.
We booked this table for 5 one month ago. We were placed at a dreadful table beside the coat rack! They had pushed two tables together so the diner in the middle was sitting between the two wobbly tables.
The location was exceptionally noisy and we were behind a net curtain so we could not see the rest of the room. The food was ok but the portions were not generous. We considered it to be poor value for what we paid.
It was my partner birthday
He doesn't like a fuss so your sturf did a lovely cheese board with a candle
Fire is a regular go to place for us. It is always at the standard we’ve come to expect and appreciate. Very accommodating also on the occasions when we are “walk in”.
We look forward to our next dining experience at Fire
The food and service was nice , however the restaurant was very cold so much so that people sitting next to us had to put there jackets on .
Good value early bird menu and food delicious will come again
We took advantage of the early bird, food was superb, service? Looked like because we decided to pay more in food to buy more drinks got punished getting the worst waiter of the place.
Best steak I have ever had, and the prawns were top draw, without a doubt the best restaurant I’ve ever been too 🙌🏻
Our server was extremely grumpy, she seemed to busy to even welcome us or check in throughout the meal. The food is amazing but it was packed, super noisy and the staff seemed run off their feet. We were there 2 hours and only ordered mains. The hostess who treated us was so lovely though so we left smiling!
Standard of food was poor for the price range. Will not be going back
Noisy back ground music room a bit cold draughty room to the front we were seated starters a bit scarce like 2lamb skewers steak a bit pricey as well service a bit slow table arrangements a bit odd like table for12right beside us of 5 other than that staff were courteous busy night for them cheers
Couples should be sit a bit far from big groups, because if the noises.
Fabulous food and ambiance but a little over priced
Excellent service. Food delightful.great atmosphere.
This was my first experience of The Fire restaurant and definitely not my last. The service was excellent and the staff extremely friendly making a very relaxing atmosphere
The food was amazing. What a lovely evening
Food was cold. Steak was very basic and over priced as a result. Pork was ok, expected better. The side of cauliflower was really nice and the only part of the dinner pipping hot. The staff were so friendly and really good workers. Probably won’t return as the set menus price doesn’t match the quality of food. Room was also kind of cold.
Great location and stunning room. We were a group of 12 and all loved it.
Waiter didn’t know if the prawns were indeed prawns or crayfish. The menu wasn’t super clear on that point either. I can confirm, they were prawns.
Had a wonderful night. Amazing food, we had a vegan at our table which was fully catered for. Highly recommend.
Celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Fire and it was just amazing... their steak is always sumptuous! Thank you
The highlight of attending FIRE was the service; it was absolutely top notch. Unfortunately the service, and the beautiful building, was let down rather badly by the food. I had heard excellent things about FIRE from other people, and I was very much looking forward to the Sunday Roast, which I had heard was 'the best in the city'.
I had the beef rib, which I shared with one other person. The portion size was large, no problem with that at all. The meat was cooked to a decent standard, but there was nothing exceptional about the taste or tenderness of it. I had had a better roast at a recent meeting I had had in Brookwoods on Lower Baggot Street the week before, and that was from the group menu which I never expect to be incredible.
The mashed potato was good, but again nothing to write home about. A good mashed potato can be the highlight of the meal, or get you 3 stars in you're Joel Robuchon, but I didn't even bother to finish this one.
The roast potatoes tasted like chips, which was a very weird experience. I can see what they were trying to do, but I got roast potatoes because I like the taste of roast potatoes, if I wanted chips I would have ordered them.
The gravy I think was the most disappointing part of the meal. A good gravy could have totally fixed the issues with the beef and the roast potatoes, but the gravy wasn't up for it. Firstly there was no richness to the gravy, there was actually an astringency to it that became more pronounced the more of it you tasted. I couldn't figure out if it was an attempt at a red wine gravy and the wine hadn't been properly burned off or if it was just a pan gravy that wasn't terribly good.
Their whiskey sour is excellent and the chicken the people beside us got looked beautifully done, and nothing about the food was bad per se, it was all above decent, but for the money we paid I just didn't think it was up to the standard I would expect. I might go back, on my own, to see if it was just a once-off.
The Place where we ate was very noisy like a wedding. The food is not good, we ordered a filet but was like a little piece of meat not high.
Excellent service and attentive staff lovely restaurant and excellent food
Fantastic ambience and art deco atmosphere. Food and service superb!
