   We were enticed to visit the restaurant with a special. It was for a New York strip steak for $19.99. Three of us ordered the steak and was disappointed as to how chewing and full of gristle it was. We were so disappointed. The sides, bread and dessert was amazing.

   The ny strip special was very grisseley and tough to chew...probably need to sharpen our steak knives as we both had the same problem...if offering a $20 steak special, use the good stuff at least...bait and switch...goodbye Firebirds...

   We dined at Firebirds Wood Fire Grill after receiving an emailed promotion. The dinner and dessert were very good. The bread needs some work, but the crème brûlée cheese more than made up for it. I would also learned the pineapple martini is AMAZING!!! We will be back!

    We decided to order the New York strip special. I ordered mine Medium Rare while my wife ordered hers Medium. When it was delivered I had the Medium so we traded. I got the better steak, because hers contained a lot of gristle. The special was a 10-ounce portion. The regular New York Strip for 14-ounces would have been a better choice.

    M husband loves the filet. I order the salmon and it was delicious, a little crispy on outside and very mild flavor. They gave us a delicious little cheesecake to celebrate my birthday. It was very good.

    The restaurant is beautiful inside. The service and food were not so great. Our server seemed like he didn't really want to be at work and his service was just average, if even that. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken. It was not good. The chicken was chewy and didn't have any flavor. My son and his wife ordered steaks. My son's steak was dry and not cooked as he requested it. His wife's steak was the only thing that was properly cooked and was good. The sides that were served were quite small portions as well. We were really disappointed with the whole experience, especially for the amount of money we paid for dinner. We will not go back to Firebirds again.

    Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Surf and Turf was on point, best kids meal I’ve ever seen, and the cheesecake was fantastic.

    I had to send my steak back it was so salty. I have never sent anything back before. Nobody from management even came to check on our inedible meal. My brother-in-law’s steak was salty, too, but he scraped it off & ate it. There was also an alcohol sting there the night we had dinner. With that said, we couldn’t get any drinks until that was taken care of. Our server kept us posted on everything & was very apologetic. She is good at her job & she was the highlight of the evening.

    Ribeyes were cooked properly but the quality of the beef was not good. Meat was a bit tough and not expected quality. Service was reasonable but not as attentive as I have experienced before at Firebirds

    The All-American burger 🍔 lunch special, typically on Wednesday only, is my favorite at Firebirds. It was the lunch special every day the week of St Patrick’s day. An opportunity to invite 2 coworkers and get away from the office for a while. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was outstanding.

    The wait staff was fabulous as was the food. My only “complaint” was the bright sun coming in and not being able to get out of it when seated. Right in your eyes. There should be window shades or something that can be adjusted for daylight. Other than that, all good!

    My friends and I dined in for my birthday recently, and I would to love to share my experience. The food was phenomenal, very much worth what you spend. The highlight of my night was our server, Kelsey. She was friendly, fast, and recommended some amazing drinks. She was such a delight to have and made a very cute birthday card.

    Food was very good. Service was great. Atmosphere was very good. I will be back. The red snapper was very good. Maybe just a tad over sauced. Could not taste the fish very much for the sauce was a bit overpowering. Filet was very good also. Will be back

    My filet was very tender but way to salty. My wife’s steak was undercooked and when sent back came out overcooked. They did the fair thing and comped my wife’s steak.

    Went during lunch. Ordered the lunch combo. Had a salad and cheeseburger. Both were very good. My wife had the salad and fish sandwich. Hers was also very good. Service was equally good.

    Upscale food and atmomosphere. Had the Bruschetta chicken pasta. Had a mild kick to it. Had the carrot cake which was good, but the Big Daddy's chocolate cake was to die for. Great place for business dinner or celebration. Or just because it is Monday night.

    Waiter was very nice and kept the drinks full. Chicken was overcooked on all meals. Dinner came out before the appetizer, which was fried until it was almost black- we had to pull off a lot of the outside.

    I like Firebirds and Knoxville needs more upscale restaurants like it. Overall the experience was good. Our server, Lilly, was very professional, hospitable and friendly. We started by ordering cocktails and then sharing a Caesar Salad, which Lilly was kind enough to have split in the kitchen. Just a few minutes later, while we were still enjoying the salads, the entrees were delivered to the table—way too soon; felt really rushed. Both entrees (Prime Rib and Red Snapper) were very good. Lilly checked back frequently to make sure everything was okay and see if wanted a second cocktail. When we finished our entrees, Lilly brought us a dessert menu. We asked for a recommendation and she said the Chocolate Brownie was her favorite. We ordered it to share. Was disappointed that the “brownie” was more of a flourless chocolate cake than brownie, but the ice cream and sauces were good. We’ll be back, but please try and improve timing of food coming out to the table and maybe a little better menu descriptions where needed for clarification. Please commend Lilly for her excellent service.

    My daughter goes to UTK and I live in Buffalo, NY. My boyfriend AL. We found firebirds wood grill on a google search during college drop off. The last great filet meal my daughter would have before official becoming a “poor” college student on a meal plan. We came back for parents weekend and my daughter’s 18th birthday! My daughter ordered the 9oz filet with 8oz lobster tail. I ordered the red snapper with 3 large shrimp over the top and my boyfriend order the pasta. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend Firebirds for any occasion.

    Only complaint Cajun ribeye was overcooked and little cold. The egg rolls and salad and desserts were delicious! Sever was attentive and great. To me it’s overpriced for what we ate.
