   As always, my experience was enjoyable. The food was wonderful. This time I was celebrating a family member's birthday as indicated when I made my reservation. Unfortunately, it was not recognized at all much to my disappointment. I will return, but in the future, I will know that I do not need to note the reason for visiting when making the reservation. I will try informing the wait staff upon arrival. Fixins' was the choice of the birthday celebrant, so it was a bit of a disappointment for her. One couple at another table enjoyed the music so much that they decided to get up and dance! We know that this is not a dinner and dance venue; perhaps they were from out of town.

   This was our third time at Fixins and as usual we’re NEVER disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful when you have questions regarding menu items. The food is exceptionally good. This will always be a go to when we’re in town.

    We were seated within 10 minutes of our early arrival half an hour early. Our meals of fried catfish and oxtails were served quickly and hot. The service and food were outstanding. It’s a very busy place and lots of activity. Very efficient, well trained staff.

    Fixins was fire 🔥 bussin bussin. Great place music was dope af waiter was good make a reservation tho or you waiting like a mf The fried deviled eggs where whatever you basically get 2 eggs cut in half and deep fried for 12 dollars if the eggs weren’t so bland I wouldn’t even be mad but seasoning was not hitting Now the chicken and waffles were Fire the Mac and cheese was hitting the yams not to sweet but I like that the catfish nuggets were also hitting Service could have been better but I wasn’t really tripping on that because they were busy af Overall will be back but won’t be getting the deviled eggs again 👎🏿

    I liked the fried chicken, the biscuit and the koolaid. I didn’t really enjoy the yams or the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese taste like in had cinnamon in it, it didn’t give me a soul food Mac and cheese vibe. I also tried my friend collard greens which I also did not like because it taste sweet and like it also had cinnamon in it. Service was great though, our waiter was really nice.

    Server Quiana did very well and was extremely attentive until our food came out. She then focused more or her new tables. Seemed like she felt she was done with us since our bill was increasing any further. Food was excellent. Pork Chops came out steaming hot, Oxtails were lukewarm.

    This was our second time visiting, within a week. Due to the Lakers game, prom and a soccer game going on at the same time, we arrived 30 minutes late of our reservation. We relayed that message to the hostess, and we were still taken and seated within 10 minutes.

    All of the food was amazing. Had the oxtail, fried chicken, catfish, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, black eyes peas, cornbread, biscuits, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. OH and the butter they give for the biscuits was divine! We're coming back for that brunch. I could only imagine!

    The service is outstanding. You are greeted and spoken to by everyone. Upon leaving you are thanked for coming by everyone, including servers that didn’t work your table and the even the security guard at the door. That coupled with great food makes an excellent experience.

    We enjoyed our lunch. We ordered the oxtails, smothered pork chops, yams, okra and deviled eggs. The service was good. I recommend making a reservation as we did as this restaurant is always crowded.

    Very cordial waiters but we had to wait over 30 min even with a reservation until we took the initiative to tell management we observed several open tables on the patio. There were outdoor heaters and lots of accommodation. I don’t like doing the job of management obviously be flexible especially with the reservation and price of dining.

    Liked the vibe of the place and the service was great. Re: the food, loved the potato salad, greens, sweet tea, fried green tomatoes (the bomb), and corn muffin. There was a rave about the shrimp and grits and biscuits, from the group. Thought the sweet potatoes and fried chicken were horrible: too much cinnamon in the yams and another ingredient that made them taste slimy. The chicken wings were humongous, and the coating wasn’t the best. I bought banana pudding to go, because my server reassured me, it was true banana pudding, cooked and made from scratch. Upon eating it, it was pudding, with a boxed taste, whip cream-like on top, with very, very few cookies and bananas. I was sorely disappointed in that food product and the server, who had done a pretty stellar job in-house. I won’t be going back!
