   First time at Flankers last night and it was such a blast! I had no idea they had a dj and a dance area. Food was great, drinks were yummy. Service was good. Definitely recommend!

   My husband and I ate here New Years eve and did make reservations but they were not full. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and roasted sweet potatoes. The flavor of both were good but the portions small. The chicken breast was about half the size of the bun and did not include the bacon even though I told the waitress I would like it left on. The sweet potatoes were about a cub in size and did not come with sauce. I asked for fry sauce but the waitress got stuck at a large table and did not deliver until I finished. My husband's burger was good but not worth the price. He also got a side salad with the citrus dressing which was the best part of his meal. He did order coffee which was exceptional and the waitress did great job of keeping the cup full. Our waitress was really personable and attentive. This is a place to get a drinks and the food seems to be an afterthought. The ambiance and seating is good and TVs to watch the current game are everywhere so you won't miss a minute.

   We showed up 10 minutes early, was told we have to wait for 20-30 mins, then was put in a makeshift table where the chairs were higher than the table, making it impossible to sit comfortably. When I asked to be relocated, we were told they had no space, despite many openings. I escalated this to the manager, who confirmed there were openings, and we were finally sat at the bar - where we made our reservation for from the beginning. Honestly, the vibe is cool, the drinks were great, the food was bomb, and it was a great experience- that was totally ruined by poor customer service. We won’t be returning.

   I made a date-night reservation, 2 weeks in advance for the Christmas pop-up experience. The hostess sat us at the bar right next to the service station where they place all of the dirty glasses. As soon as she left a bouncer came over and sternly told us to move over away from the service station… where we were sat… on a reservation. So, other than poor placement and the very drunk bros harassing the girls and breaking glasses at the table behind us, the experience was fine. They had fun Christmas cocktails and the table-top s’mores were a cute idea. We each got two drinks and s’mores and our bill was $110 after tip. I will let you decide if that is worth it or not.

    We had the worst experience at the Christmas parlor at flanker. The staff was rude, sat us in joke seats even though we had a reservation and there were 8 bar seats open. We left without even ordering, and went to green pig! Green pig is the best!

    Not sure why they take reservations if they have no intentions of honoring them. We waited over 90 minutes past our reservation to be seated. Only to then have slow service. I was shocked to find out they were seating later reservations 8:15pm when they showed up at 7:15pm. Super frustrating experience, most likely will not return

    We went to the Christmas Parlor for some holiday cheer! It was super festive and cute, however…about an hour in , literally with food on our plates and full cocktails, we were told we were approaching our reservation time limit and would need to move to the main bar. It was very disappointing. We completely understand the situation HOWEVER, it was not handled in the best fashion. Supposedly our reservation stated we had a time limit…but I could not find this information. They should tell people when they seat them…hey we’re trying to give everybody the opportunity to enjoy the Pop Up holiday bar so we’re limiting our reservation time slots. Also….if you don’t want people camping out, don’t serve food!!!! Other than that, All of the staff was super friendly and we had great service. Food was fine…nothing over the top.

    I saw an ad for The Christmas Parlor and my husband and I really wanted to check it out before the end of the season, so we booked a reservation, got a babysitter and drove 30 min and paid for parking to go. When we arrived the hostess took us back to the parlor past an almost completely empty bar and around the corner away from literally everything in the parlor to this tiny squished nook right by the kitchen with a makeshift table and stools. The stools were hard and awful next to the tiniest/shortest table. I asked immediately to be moved to any of the several other open tables/bar. The hostess said let me see what I can do and left and never returned so when our server came to bring us waters I told her we are not sitting here it’s extremely uncomfortable and not even part of this whole Christmas Parlor experience they were advertising. She said she would see what she could do, several minutes later she returned and said sorry the hostess said we overbooked and this is all we have. I asked why we got stuck with this table when we were the first ones to arrive for our reservation. She didn’t have a response. I am so extremely disappointed. We come here fairly often (for the delicious nachos) and were going to buy a gift card for my in laws but felt we were treated so poorly and as though they could care less about our business, we just left. The food is always good, but the service SUCKS!!!!

    The atmosphere of the Christmas Parlor was great. Drinks and food were delicious. The service however needs work. They only allow you 90 min in the Christmas Parlor but it took 20 min to get a drink. Once we moved outside to the lounge we were never greeted by a waitress and had to go to the bar rail in order to get any service.

    We visited the Christmas Parlor experience which was visibly adorable. What wasn't adorable was the staff working there; from the waiters, to the man standing awkwardly by the door (I guess the Christmas bouncer??) to the bus boy??...I'm not quite sure what his purpose was honestly other than to walk around with a very visible scowl on his face removing one dish at a time without a word, in, what I can only assume, an attempt to signal we had been there too long? The decor was spot on, the drinks were hit and miss, the food was alright, but it was almost as if all the staff were given instructions to absolutely never smile or express any Christmas cheer at all. To top it off, right after being served a drink that our waitress asked if she could get us another of, we were approached by said Christmas bouncer and told our time would be up in 10 mins....ummm what?? We told him we had just barely gotten these drinks, but we'd be more than happy to give up the table after we drank them. He said, well, make it be under 10 mins...really?! Yeah, sure dude, let us go ahead and chug these $18 drinks...no problem at all! The ambiance was great, but I left there feeling anything but the Christmas spirit.

    We had bar reservations in "A Christmad Parlor" and were sat at a very skinny bar against the wall. With the Christmas decorations, it made it difficult to place our food and drinks down comfortably. The drinks, food and server Faith made up for it but it was quite awkward. I recommend checking it out and getting some of the specialty cocktails!

    Service could have been better. They were busy but had plenty of servers. We waited at least 20 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink order and by the time we got our first drinks, it had been 45 minutes. The drinks were good. We tried several of the speciality ones. Where we sat, the barstools were extremely uncomfortable (no backs, super hard) and we finally were able to move to the bar seats. I would recommend if you’re looking for an instagrammable spot with fun drinks but it’s nothing more than that

    My reservation for bar seating at the Christmas Parlor was “honored” only in the loosest of terms. I arrived at about 7:10 for my 7:15 reservation and the hostess tried to stash me at a space that looks like it’s intended as a waiting spot for people to sit while last minute preparations are being made to their table. It’s a ledge right next to the door, facing away from the room. It’s less than a foot wide and a lot of the space was taken up by tinsel. Barely enough room to set a cocktail. I wanted to order food so it was totally inadequate (s'mores with an actual "campfire" in the proximity of tinsel seems like a really bad idea) and told the hostess I would wait for a seat at the actual bar, figuring someone would be leaving soon. Nobody left until 7:45. I don’t know if they’re overbooking it, or if people are overstaying, or if they’re being too accommodating of walk-ins or what but they need to figure out a better solution than stashing people who have reservations at awful seating. (That would be a great place for walk-ins, IMO.) This is actually the second time they’ve tried to do that to me, and they tried to do it to a couple who had reservations at 7:30 as well. Acceptable accommodations were worked out in the end, but it’s really annoying to go to the trouble of making a reservation and arranging my schedule to show up on time and not have seating within 15 minutes of the promised time. If bar seating is going to be a free-for-all, then don’t accept reservations to begin with. As far as whether I recommend it to others, I will give it a qualified "yes" because the cocktails and atmosphere were fun and the food was good. With the exception of being directed to the crappiest seat in the place, the service was good. If I ever go back reserve bar seating and they send me to that seat again, it will be for the last time. There are other good cocktail bars in SLC.

    I showed up on time for my reservation and was told they didn’t open to the public for another 45 minutes: “we tried calling you.” I missed their call and they never texted me or left a voicemail. Then when we finally sat down waited another 45 minutes for one cocktail and had to sit next to an influencer who was filming for her blog and didn’t even have a reservation. She got her drink in 5 minutes. loved the Christmas decor but overall extremely disappointed and would not go back.

    Terrible service. Overbooked. Had people on couches without tables trying to eat dinner. All guest who had made reservations. We left after a mediocre drink and appetizers. Really disappointed in this spot.

    We had a great time overall, but I feel like they could have benefited from having a fourth bartender. We sat with empty drinks numerous times, and even though we wanted to try all of the holiday drinks, we ended up going elsewhere because we felt like an imposition. It took about 20 minutes for us to get our checks, and we had to grab our own plates for our food. Ultimately it’s a great place to go if you have time to wait, but even sitting at the bar doesn’t guarantee that the bartender will assist you.

    Came to check out the Christmas pop-up bar in the back. It was wild! It was like walking into a Christmas present. I had the Grinch and the Winter-ita and they were both great. The couple next to us got this enormous plate of Smores which looked really fun but we were too full from dinner. Not too full to enjoy "Santa's cookies" which they gave us with the bill though. Highly recommend going to check out this activation!

    Came with a group of 8 people - seating was good, food was good, but never saw our waiter/waitress after the food came out. We were the only people in the dining area. we quickly ran out of water and no opportunity to consider ordering another round of drinks. Consider turning down the music somewhat, especially when there’s only one group in the entire dining area.

    It’s loud so if you are hard of hearing this isn’t the most friendly location to hear what the other person might be saying to you. The food and drinks are pretty good. Had seating for just two people so not sure how larger groups would work.

    The amount of time between visits from our server meant we were dinning for almost two hours when it should have been much quicker. Simply getting a glass of water took far longer than the drinks that were ordered so the bar was operating much better than our server was. It took 30 minutes and us asking other servers just to get the check so we could pay. Our orders were not correct but since we knew waiting for the food to come out correct would take a lot longer we just swapped parts of three dishes around so everybody had what they asked for.

    We waited for at least 20 minutes after being sat before someone came over to greet us/begin taking out drink/food orders. This was my second visit here in about a week (attended 2 concerts at Vivint) and both visits the overall service was extremely poor. It almost felt like there isn’t much rhyme or reason to the servers sections, because a server said he’d help us after we were ignored for 20 minutes, because “he wasn’t sure who our server was supposed to be, so he’d just do it”. We were also brought the wrong order multiple times before our correct one came out. Kind of a mess. My drinks and food were good though.

    When we arrived for a reservation the hostess let us know that she had already given our table away to someone else and didn’t have a solution to remedy the problem. We found the bartender quite rude as well. Will not be coming back.

    This weekend was my 2nd time at Flankers. We took our friend for her birthday. We put drinks in and mine came 45 minutes after the everyone else in my parties. I had to ask 3 times if they would be brining it and each time was a new excuse. We weren't asked if we wanted a 2nd round of drinks until well after an hour into us being seated. I asked for waters for the whole table which never came. My friend asked for the same and they brought a single water out for him. He then said that we needed more for the table but especially for 2 of our friends. They brought out only 2 more waters. My friend then went back and talked to a manager and said that we'd asked for waters for the whole table several times. Finally we got some for the whole table and this is after we were almost completely done eating our meals. When the waitress did come around, she'd come to part of our party of 10 then go off to a different table not taking orders for the other part of our party until we called her back over asking if she was going to finish our orders. It was TERRIBLE. I've not had such awful service. The food once we got it was good but they have a very limited menu.

    Service was extremely slow for both food and drinks. It was great to be able to watch all the games our group cared about, but that’s about the only good thing. The entire menu is overpriced.
