Fogo de Chao - Rosemont
The food was so delicious. . The staff was very friendly and nice. I will be back celebrating my husband birthday in March .
Service was great and food was outstanding
It was my daughters Birthday.... They made it awesome for her..... From the delicious food to the great customer service.... It was amazing.... Thank you!!!
First started going to Fogo about 16 years ago when first opened in Chicago and was always impressed by the service and food quality. Probably have been to one Fogo or another over a dozen times and always left happy. Unfortunately this past evening, my wife and I have decided never to visit the Rosemont location again. Server alluded to that they were busy all day with over a hundred walk ins. (Should have been clue #1). Food and drinks that we had were good but service was the worst I have ever seen or had in a restaurant with a comparable price (steakhouse, fine dining type restaurant).
Sides were left empty on the table and never replaced. Of the 15 or so varieties of meat they offer, we saw maybe 5 (none of which would have been excluded on the restaurant week menu which we declined since we wanted the full experience,) Most gauchos never walked past our table and the ones that did ignored our cards indicating we wanted additional food. I don't know if it was table placement but the service was awful for a meal that ran over $250 for two adults and a young kid.
Drinks took a long time to come to the table, but once the table was cleared the servers came quick with the check to clear the table out. No questions of how the meal was or if we were looking for any particular cut of meat which was standard for our previous dinners with them.
Again don't know if it was due to being busy or that this location is just not as good, but for the meal cost it so highly unlikely that we will find out.
This restaurant looks like run down cafeteria. I have been to Texas De Brazil multiple times and was expecting something similar or better. However, from food to service, our experience was terrible. They were slow, barely came around with meat and they did it was not properly salted or cold. For $550 bill, we expected more and walked away very disappointed.
More than half our table had the green circle up to recieve meat. And we went more than 30 minutes without getting any meat. Until we got the host attention and she was able to send someone. Otherwise no waitress to refill our drinks. Party of 10 were very dissatisfied.
Service was great. Wait staff was awesome.
Food was way too salty and it was not until well into the meal that we found out we could special order without salt. Bacon wrapped items were tasty. Kind of disappointing for the children.
Overall, it wasn't our best Fogo de Chao experience. Our party of 8 found many of the meats to be overcooked and dry. We were asked if we wanted meats when noone at the table had their card flipped to green. But the managers and servers did a great job of asking if there was anything we wanted that hadn't come around and were very attentive. I think we are better off going during the week when it isn't as packed.
Celebrated Our sons graduation from Navy Boot Camp it was an awesome experience dinner was a plus quality is always service was excellent
I was overcharged on my bill and had to make 2 transactions since my husband paid without looking at the bill first. I was told I would receive my refund in 4- 5 days depending on my bank. I look on my bank acct, both pymt were released. I called the restaurant to follow up and to found out the refund was never issued! Thanks to Paula she submitted the refund and less than 24hrs $400.00 was returned back to my acct. despite all this my waiter was very nice, but we waited over 30 mins to get the servers to bring over food. We kind of felt ignored until we mentioned something to the waiter and the floor manager. What a way to celebrate my son's bday! We will NEVER be returning there again,
it was our first and last.
The one in Chicago has much better service and the staff is more attentive
Enjoyed the experience. If you're not into meat, I recommend the Chilean Sea Bass. It was unreal. Best seafood dish I've ever had. Salad bar was tasty!
This place was over crowded expensive and sub par to be specific. We have been here before and never felt this level of unprofessionalism or trashy environment. The service staff is rude to the point of if you ask for something they seem bothered by it. They over charge you enough for the food so why feel the need to have tiny bottles of soda and share for every refill. There’s a cart going around to up sell customers for watered down shots. Which we weren’t even offered because it was so crowded you could barely walk. We wouldn’t have purchased them anyway. Also the carts trying to up sell other drinks are ridiculous. The meats were mediocre at best. Variety presented were minimal and again the staff were bothered every time they came by to serve. We will not be returning EVER. So disappointed to spend over $700 on a meal that wasn’t even enjoyable! Stop advertising this place on the radio or anywhere else it is trash! Money would have been better spent somewhere else for better quality and service.
The restaurant was packed..almost too crowded. It was very hard to maneuver around the tables to get to the salad bar and the men wielding meat had a very hard time getting to tables. The waiter, who was AWESOME, was pulled on a million directions. Not enough servers maybe or over seating the restaurant. Also, because it was so crowded, it was incredibly loud. Very difficult to hear the other people at my table.
Biggest complaint was a server brought over pineapple infused vodka shots and handed them to every table. I’m not a huge drinker but thought it was sweet that the restaurant offered free drinks. It want till the bill came that we saw it was $12.50 per drink!! This was ridiculous!! He never mentioned their was a cost nor were their any signs speaking to that. When we brought it up to our server he acted like this wasn’t the first time he heard this and asked if he could get the manager. This was just shady! How many people don’t even realize there was a cost till afterwards or not at all. This should have been discussed openly prior to giving them out. We were having such a great time and this one incident ruined it for us. Just disappointed.
Been here many times but never had to wait 30 mins past our reservation time to get seated. They changed their pricing so now you need to “beg” for the meats at the regular price. The salad bar did not have any parma ham cut, asked someone if more was available and was told no...asked someone else and he was nice enough to cut me a few slices, but it was cut to large so it was like chewing gum.
Too many tables and not enough server, very slow in everything. This chain started about the same quality as the texas de Brazil, now really falling behind in quality. Will not eat here again.
Excellent as always. We will be back when we come back to town.
Love the food, but need to ask for the food u desire and like;
otherwise u get chicken
Don't be bashful
It was our first time there and we had a party of 8 and we were very happy with the service and food.
All the meats were rare and overly salted,
Food was delicious as usual! Thank you
Make a reservation. Dress business casual. Overall awesome experience. Pass up on the fruit and veggie bar, and get stuffed by the endless meats!!!!
Great but the restaurant was way too loud
Definitely recommend for the food and service. Tis is a place to go for a special occasion when you do not worry about the sound. The overall look of the dining area is elegant, yet energetic in sound quality. The food was very good. We were there for New Years Eve and I would go again.
I expect to pay a lot at a nice restaurant. Unfortunately the “ambience” is is meh.
The price we paid was ridiculous. Many of the items at the buffet bar were empty. It was a filthy mess, as patrons were just sloppy.
$3.75 for and 8 ounce soft drink?!?! Unacceptable.
It will be a long time before we’re back. $225 for my wife, me and 12 year old son is obscenely overpriced.
I love everything
What a difference good service can make.
Last time we went we had trouble with wrong bill, slow service, being served alcohol in spite we ordering non alcoholic etc so was a little on the fence this time.
At check in we were there right on time and the hostess gave us a pager and told us we would have to wait. She was a little snotty so not the best start of a dinner. Do not understand what the point of having a unfriendly hostess in a restaurant. However, we got seated pretty quickly.
Sat in a quiet corner but it was cut off a little from the main restaurant so difficult to catch a servers attention.
However, our waiter Orlin was the best server we have ever had in a Fogo de Chao - and we have been to MANY from NYC, PHL, DC, SF, CHI etc etc. He was funny, attentive, caring and super amazing. There was not one thing he didn't take care off and he made sure the meat servers would swing by our table regularly and that we had everything we could dream off. The meat servers were also especially attentive and remembered our likes and requests with a huge smile - and that even on a busy night.
The salad bar was the same as usual and delicious but we are always careful not to eat too much salad because we are really coming for the Picanha and hot sauce.
Three minuses in this location is that the floors around the salad bar is super slippery. So be sure to wear flat shoes and walk cautiously. Secondly, they do not serve our second favorite grilled pineapple at this location :-((( and lastly the new layout is not as cozy and makes the acoustics a little worse than before.
There was a hair in my food. I quietly approached one of the floor managers and he said he’ll come back to address it. He was quick to brush it off, and he never came back and nothing was comped. Also, I understand it’s very busy, but I had to wait 30 minutes even with a reservation. But overall, the food was delicious, and I appreciated the free dessert for my friend’s birthday.
Great place to eat! Awesome drinks, the sangria was excellent!
We were in the back area where the ambiance wasn’t as nice as the main buffet area. It was also too bright for dinner and barely any music.
Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and waited in the bar with a drink. Was given a pager. After 20 minutes and seeing 6 couples seated, I asked the hostess why we weren’t being seated. She said she forgot about us and would seat us next. They packed the restaurant with extra tables making it very hard to get to the salad bar. Had to ask for clean plates because we were not offered any. Waited for long time to be offered meat and the wait continued between servings. A server didn’t go to my husbands side of the table and served him over me and my plate. Another server served my husband and told me he will be back because someone was waiving him down. The waitress didn’t have the liquor to pour on top of the papaya cream. We waited for that too. Have had good meals and service in the past. Maybe it is all new staff or they are burned out from the holiday, time to stay away and see if they can reset.
The food was ok. They hostess table is disorganized. They are not paying attention to the door because the computer is turned away from the door. Plus they are to busy talking to each other. They turned on all the lights on and it’s way to bright.
$150.00 for two people is ridiculous. It’s very expensive. There meat are dry and over cooked, therefore it’s very tough. The server forgot to bring me my drink and attendant just passed me by when I ask for some lamb chop. So therefore, I did not feel like I got my money worth of food.
The food is wonderful, but there were some issues: 1) The hostess was difficult to understand; 2) We did have to wait about 15 minutes with a reservation; 3) We were seated at the worst table in the place which had a lot of traffic around it; 4) The service was ok - certainly not exceptional a) A bit slow to bring the meat and the check. Did not ask us how we liked it; b) Gave us rare meat when we asked for medium; c) Worked hard to “up sell” us
The severs kept passing us, the waiter was taking too long for the sides and bread I literally had to wait for a hour just to get bread.
We had 9 people for Christmas dinner and it was a terrible experience (we've ate at Fogo de Chao before and it has been good, so maybe Christmas day is the wrong time to go there). The service was poor...we had to ask multiple times for water, there were very few Gochos bringing meat around, and we kept asking for specific items and were told they would be right back, but they never came back. Both the men and women bathroom were disgusting (toilet paper on the floor, no paper towels, trash spilling out of trash cans, and filthy toilets). It was a complete waste of money, but lesson learned to not eat out for Christmas.
I’ve been here several times but unfortunately, when I took all newbies, most of the meat was tougher than usual. The choc cake was great. The server could have been a bit more friendly but...overall was an average experience that should Have been above average.
Fantastic time. Xmas brunch. Everything on point. Lots of choices. Food tasty and hot.
