Founding Farmers - King of Prussia
Quite short of amazing to be completely honest. The best parts of my meal were my family’s company, and our kind server...NOT the food. I was very upset that the menu failed to list lump crabmeat in the ingredients of a shrimp pasta dish I ordered. The salad I subsequently ordered to replace the pasta dish was lackluster, with sparse ingredients that were poorly chopped, and the added grilled shrimp that weren’t properly deveined. I didn’t even bother to order dessert and today is my actual birthday, and my husband’s birthday (10/08) was being celebrated tonight as well. No recognition by the staff for that either.
I’ll likely never return, and I was so excited to dine here for the very first time.
We waited 20 minutes past our reservation time (even after arriving 10 minutes early) and when we arrived at the table there were lots of crumbs on the seats. The food was ok/not great. Our waitress was lovely though.
Been here a few times with some mixed experiences, but last evening’s dinner experience was very disappointing. The service was horribly slow. Our server kept apologizing for the delay in bringing first our drinks then our salads. What seemed to be an eternity between salads and main course, we asked if we could have some bread and thought it would have been comped due to the huge delay but, it was in our bill. One of our party’s fried chicken dinner came out cold and we needed to send it back to be remade however while the second try found the chicken to be warm, the rest of the plate including the gravy was cold. We will not be going back as it appears service is not a priority here anymore.
My order came out incorrectly after being very specific with the server about my needs and desires. Then, it took another 20 minutes to receive a new cold salad as the rest of my party ate their meals. Then, we ordered coffee, which took 15 minutes and was delivered luke warm. We were there for a birthday and the server did nothing to celebrate the occasion in terms of a surprise slice of cake and candle when we told him twice about her birthday. We felt everything was overpriced as well and I don’t at all feel satisfied. In fact, I have raved about this place since going in the summertime and feel quite disappointed now.
Food was great as always, manager greeted us when we sat down, and our server (Kyle) was perfect!
Would I recommend this place? Yes but only to a friend who cared more for convenience and a social place to be than for the quality of their food. We had a good time, I won't deny it. The kids had fun. I splurged on southern fried chicken and regretted it, for it was not worth the calories. The collard greens had a nice hint of smoke but were sugary sweet. The seafood stew looked good in its iron pot, but the seafood was overcooked and overwhelmed by the broth.
Food was great and our waiter was outstanding. However the host that sat us was awful and very unprofessional.
Breakfast was good. Waiter could be a little more friendly
Have eaten there many times food is very good but yesterday for breakfast the service was very slow almost 40 minutes after we ordered.
I ORDERED THE PRIME RIB MEDIUM. IT CAME BACK WITH A RED TINT ON THE TOP OF THE MEAT AND WAS DRIED OUT AND TOUGH. HAD TO USE THE DIPPING SAUCE AND HORSERADISH SAUCE TO BE ABLE TO EAT IT.
We have been meaning to try this restaurant since it opened. So glad we finally got to go! The restaurant is set up tastefully and the staff is very welcoming. Sitting down at a table, our waitress was immediately asking for a drink orders and welcoming us. The food was phenomenal, The spices they use are out of this world. There are so many things I can’t wait to try incoming visits. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Great food but the coffee was terrible
It was ok. The Tuna Poke salad is odd and very different than any other Tina Poke salad I have ever had, and not in a good way. It was disappointing, I'd not get it again, and would not recommend it. The 10oz prime rib was 3oz of fat and way too rare. Also disappointing. The burger was spot on. Overall, not the best meal, and not the Founding Farmers we have known in the past - this was our third time to dine here.
Hi Yoconshy: I am real sorry to read that your experience was only considered "ok" and sadly deemed worthy of 3-Stars. :( That said, I would love the chance to follow up about the disappointing food you touched upon, and will send you a DM with my email address. -Amy
I will never understand why restaurants need to charge 15 dollars for a glass of wine. I hade the salad with dates and added shrimp. It was delicious. I wish I’d skipped the shrimp. Small portions but adequate. Friends had pesto pasta and the scallops and I think they liked them. We we’re friends who hadn’t seen each other in a while and we occupied our table much too long but the server was lovely about it.
Food was delicious; service was excellent; had the section to ourselves and we didnt mind one bit
Our team took our new VP out for a team lunch. The food, ambiance, prices, and staff we 100%. Our new VP, who is new to the area, has locked Founding Farmers in as a go-to!
Love this place! The food is alway wonderful and fresh. Great place to go on a weekend after hanging out and/or shopping in the area.

Good was good as always but our server was not the best. She did what was necessary but nothing more.
My first time going, a great first impression. The bread bowl was good, my non alcoholic drink was awesome. Fried chicken tastes like home made, a tad bit salty for my personal taste but still good . Fries were good but still a little salty for my taste. My husband order didn’t come with ribs, the waitress forgot to mention that they sold out but I enjoyed the food and to think that everything is fresh and it is helping out farmers. We are definitely coming back again.
The bacon with the honey glaze was one of the best things I ever ate. They add brown sugar which makes it sweet and savory at the same time. everything That I tried was very good even the coffee was outstanding. Well worth the money.
the service was slower than would be expected for how busy they are. The waitress was very nice but went through large stretches when we were forgotten about, including when we were trying to pay the bill to leave (having to find another server to pay). Also, when we were checking in, the hostess didn't look at us when trying to tell us about the table, but had her eyes right down at the screen, spoke in a low voice, and with the background noise it was impossible to even hear. Food was fine, and menu had lots of vegetarian and non vegy options. Beer list was good.
Quality food, good service and nice atmosphere
Food came out quickly, but not hot.
Ordered a bread basket with six slices of various kinds of bread for EIGHT DOLLARS.
Great service.. really nice
Food was amazing
Probably the best server I’ve ever had. She was so accommodating about my 25 yr old sons peanut allergy. So nice to see.

One of my favorite restaurants!!
I think the restaurant is beautiful. I like that it's a very nice place to meet for lunch without being too
Great food. Service seemed a bit slow as it appeared our waitress had most of her customers away from our area/room.
Thought there would be more healthy selections given the name. This is more comfort food
Delicious food, great service and I love the decor
Overall good food and service
Happy to go back
Good food but the martini's and beer and way overpriced for the size!
Large menu, excellent food and service. Good value.
Good food and nice atmosphere.
Excellent overall Bobby was exceptional and the food choices were abundant
This was my first time going to Founding Farmers as a coworker recommended it to me. I was not disappointed a all!! The food was great, and the waiter even explained how things work at the restaurant. The portions are fairly large so keep that in mind, while not uber expensive it is a little bit on the pricey side but it’s not a big deal. I went for dinner on a Saturday and it was packed, so I’m definitely glad I made reservations. I will definitely be coming back for breakfast, brunch and dinner again. The environment was great, it was very clean and just all around great. The noise level was kind of loud, but as I said it was a Saturday night and it was packed.
Birthday dinner- everything was excellent. Elevator was broke and my Aunt is disable 😕. Staff escorted her upstairs through the kitchen.
The drinks were slow and disappointing and the bartenders were not at all accommodating. They were out of a lot of food and our waiter didn’t charge our cards correctly and had to re-run them.
Hi KLW1006: Thank you for sharing your review with us. I am super sorry to read that the drinks were slow & disappointing, and the bartenders were considered unaccommodating. :( I also apologize for the lack of available menu items and that at the end of your visit, the service failed to run your cards correctly. With this all acknowledged, I'd love to follow up and will send you a personal note with my email address. -Amy
