I found the food to be not very good, even though it sounded delicious. My guests said the same. It all just seemed under seasoned, and the brisket was to fatty to eat. The deviled eggs weren’t salted. I expect a restaurant to know how to season food or at least put salt on the table. Our server was nonchalant to the point of being annoying.

We waited for 10 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. She finally came with no apology. Then she messed up our bill AND we were charged a covid recovery fee. We own a small business and won’t dream of charging customers a fee (even though we had to close for 8 weeks). It’s the cost of owning a business—take the good with the bad. Will never come here again!

I am so sorry for the delay in service and we will be sure to touch base wit the server. Regarding the fee it has been instrumental in keeping all seven locations open. It continues to fund our covid vaccination clinics and testing, and it helps with the higher prices in supply costs. But, I do understand how it can be off-putting. Please know that you can always ask a manager to remove the fee and we absolutely will! I am sorry for this rough start, but hope you will try us again sometime. -TW

We had a good time overall but the one dish steak was not up to the Founding Farmers standards. My husband ordered steak medium rare but the steak was prepared well done. The replacement steak was prepared rare and very chewy. I generally liked the place, the appetizers and fish were good, the waitress was attentive but the steak was bad. I would still recommend this restaurant with the caution do not order a steak.

Food was greasy and very bland. Squash risotto had no flavor and scallops served with it were skimming in a greasy puddle of sauce. Bacon wrapped dates tasted mediocre and were very unappealing looking with sauce smeared on plate & dates on top resembled something no one would want to eat. Vanilla bean cheesecake had soggy crust and filling didn’t taste like cheesecake. Ravioli and chicken cutlet entree was also very bland. The sevice was good and waiter did a good job. Can’t make up for food which was sub-par. There must’ve been a big change in chef/cooking staff, as the food used to be much better.

Founding farmers is one of our favorite neighborhood spots but today wasn’t quite to par. Our waiter was a bit slow and ended up chatting outside the restaurant with his friend vs serving us which caused our food to come cold. The food still tasted very good through just cold… we ordered dessert to go and enjoyed them at home.

It was very warm in the area and the space was cramped. The biscuits were overcooked, drinks and food were delayed many times, food was just ok not for what would expect for spending over a hundred dollars per couple.

My wife and I took my Mom here for a birthday dinner (rescheduled from the earlier weekend as we only do outdoor dining in the pandemic and it rained last weekend). Seated immediately, waiter appeared shortly afterwards, and all of our selections were excellent and delivered quickly. It can be a little busy out there by the road and all the other restaurants, but that didn’t really bother us.

I enjoy the food at Founding Farmers, hot and delicious. However, I haven't eaten there for lunch before. There seemed to be no difference in price or portion. As a result, it was a very expensive lunch. My recommendation is save it for dinner.

We love Founding Farmers! The ambiance, the convenience to our home, the food-its always great. Our server was very good last night. There were a couple of glitches, though. One person in our party requested no avocado in his salad but it came with avocado. And I asked for my salmon to be pretty well done and it was actually more medium. Everything else was perfect, though. Definitely a go to place for us.

I dined with my sister and mother for a late Mother’s Day celebration and everything was fantastic! Our server, Alicia, was lovely and knowledgeable. We were told that brunch that day was incredibly busy and as a result, some menu items were out of stock, and I really appreciated being told right away instead of finding out after I had my heart set on something! The server was one of the worst i have had. She was not interested in us at all and forgot parts of the order twice and had to be reminded. Founding Farmers needs to train their servers to do better. A server with attitude kills the experience.

Our server was really great. Very attentive and helpful. Food was fantastic. I’ve had disappointing service at this location prior to this visit so was delighted to see they have hired good people.

This is my first time at Founding Farmers since the pandemic. I recommend to have a reservation, especially on a Saturday night. I ordered the slow cooked brisket with asparagus. My friend barbecue ribs. Both dishes arrived not long after ordering and they were very good. The service was prompt and polite despite the place was packed. Overall a good and pleasant experience.

I typically like this place. But this was not a very good experience. The staff did not seem to pay attention to our orders (two mistakes at our table) with no apologies. However they did fix the problem. After we asked for a few condiments we hardly saw the server after the staff seemed to view our requests as more of a chore than making sure their guests had a pleasant experience. One piece of butter for 4 people??? The list goes on. I am not sure if so will frequent this location after this visit.

We came in for dinner with our in-laws and our kids and we usually have a great experience. It was ridiculously hot. We were sat by the kitchen (if they try to put you here, ask to sit elsewhere) and our entire family was sweating our butts off all night. Our kids faces got beat red, it was so uncomfortable. Normally my southern fried chicken is awesome, but one of my pieces literally had no meat. It was a piece of fried skin, which was gross. You used to get 3 pieces of chicken (nice and juicy pieces) and now it’s two, so if one of them doesn’t even have meat, it’s not worth it. The kitchen shouldn’t let items like that even be cooked, let alone sent out to a table. My wife got the steak and enchiladas and asked for it to be medium rare - it came out beyond well done. It was like eating a piece of rubber. On the other hand, my other son got a hamburger and we ordered it medium - it came out completely pink and undercooked in areas. He ended up eating around what he could. The scratch soda (strawberry) was great as was our desserts. The problem was that everything was completely melted. When the ice cream came for our kids and with our desserts it was like eating soup. Our kids didn’t even eat it. Not sure what was going on, but we normally have a great experience here. Hopefully this was just a bad night and not signs of things to come.

Server was a good guy that engaged in convo, but. He was really busy. Perhaps too busy. Our appetizer was not brought out until our meals were brought out.mu guests could not get mocha coffee or irish coffee. Qualituf of the food was great, but three steps of thick bacon cost 25 dollars. Next time I'll cook my own bacon. Server and food quality saved the day.
