Founding Farmers - Tysons
Had reservation and was seated quickly. Was slight delay with getting entrees but appreciated manager coming out to apologize for delay and giving us a complimentary appetizer of our choice. Food was great as expected from this restaurant. Will be back again soon.
I have dined at Founding Farmers numerous times and this experience all around was disappointing. Food was cold, over cooked and unappealing. We waited over 20 minutes for condiments and refills. The waiter was extremely nice, but the food was horrible and it was so loud you could barely enjoy a conversation with your dining companion. Think I will wait awhile before returning.
Our food and waitress were great! However we were early for our 7:30 reservation and were told it was going to be about 10 minutes. Not a big deal. However by 8:00 when we had not been seated yet that was when we were treated very rudely by the hostess for asking when our table would be ready. It was clear that the restaurant was piling too many reservations at once. The hostess was also pretty unapologetic and we watched her snap at a wait staffer/bus boy for trying to help her. Very upsetting that one member of the team could put such a sour taste in our mouths, however like I said the rest of the night went smoothly.
Took my adult son there for Sunday Brunch at his request for his birthday. While he had been before my wife and I had not. The array of foods aroma and taste were over the top and truly worth many more visits!
As always, Founding Farmers is the best brunch
Although the food is pretty good, the rest of the Founding Farmers brunch experience was disappointing, enough so that we will not return. Our table was not ready until a half hour after our reservation time. It took twenty minutes for drinks to arrive -- our waiter himself was quite diligent, but the bar was crazy slow. And it was very expensive for what we got. It's not the most expensive brunch out there, but quite pricey compared to the value of ingredients, especially when there is no a la carte option for people who are not huge eaters.

Food was amazing love it , but service was bad I didn't get a single refill on my Tea , or even asked me if I need it more I guess was my luck overall was good
A lovely brunch, especially if you like to mix sweet and savory or if you feel like you never get enough vegetables in your breakfast orders elsewhere.
We were seated quickly and greeted by a number of people. Getting our drink order in took quite a while and then we were told the wine we wanted and a beer selection were both unavailable. This was quite disappointing as it was the beginning of Restaurant week. There didn't seem to be enough servers for the number of tables (all filled). Our food arrived lukewarm, at best. One person in our party had a hair in her baked potato. That was quickly taken away and replaced with a different option. No one from the restaurant came by to inquire/apologize for the situation. The meal charge was taken off the final bill but not noted by our server or anyone else. It was a bit of a disappointment all around.
One of my favorites. Great food at great prices. Every time.
Salmon and sausage gravy and biscuits were amazing.

We visited during a restaurant week in January 2020, it was packed, we still waited 30 minutes for a table, however the food was worth it. Service was outstanding, and our waitress was very knowledgeable off the menu. I had the spicy fried chicken which was excellent, and My wife was very happy with the pot roast.
Love this restaurant, but it was a bit much when we had to wait 23 minutes past our reservation time. The staff was unapologetic about the delay and offered nothing other than, “there’s nothing I can do.”
Food and service was excellent. My only complaint is the restaurant is extremely noisy. It is difficult to have a conversation

Always a favorite restaurant, the Restaurant Week offering at Founding Farmers was just outstanding! Most of the regular menu was available to choose, everything in generous enough to share amounts and very tasty. And the biscuits and fried chicken are divine. This will definitely be a Restaurant Week regular from now on!

Food was great! The only issue was validating parking. I handed out the ticket to the cashier who supposedly validated it. At the time of exiting the parking garage we had to pay for parking.
Customer service was fantastic. No wail time and the food was excellent.
Our first time here and we really enjoyed our meal! The wait time was the only downside as we had to wait for about 20 minutes after our reservation time. But otherwise, we had a lovely meal (family of 4 with 2 kids) and everyone wants to go back. The kids in particular loved the food. This will be one of our go-to restaurants going forward.

We came here for restaurant week for work as a team lunch and unfortunately service was so awful none of my teammates will be returning. To start the server tried to tell us we were not eligible for restaurant week even though we had previously confirmed our group size was. She then had to go confirm that with management. The entire meal took almost two hours! One of our appetizers was incorrect. Our server came around after we had finally received our appetizers (which took way to long to receive) to verify our entree orders which hadn't even been placed yet! Thank goodness she did verify the orders because half of them she had wrong. There was no checking in on us to let us know if our food would be arriving soon and the server was just primarily absent the entire time. One teammate had to send their food back after a hair was found in it. Service finally started being attentive at the end when another server seemed to take over our table.
We had a 7:15 reservation on a Wednesday night. We waited 30 min for our table to be ready. Each table has multiple servers so we found that no one felt accountable to our table so it took a long time to order, to get the check, and to pay. The food was ok, nothing amazing. It was also very, very loud which made conversation difficult. This is my third time eating there and each time I’m disappointed with the wait time (with reservations), service, and noise level. I don’t think I’ll be back again.
Our waiter was great (wish I could remember his name) and the food was amazing , no issues with anything.

Great dining experience--uniformly good service, food, ambiance. Very crowded (restaurant week) and they ran out of the herb-crusted prime rib by the time we ordered at 6:30 pm (another was in the oven but the wait was 40 minutes, so we did the fish special and ribeye). Excellent appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Food was a good value: appetizers big enough to share with 3 $10-15 and main courses $25ish. (we did not order drinks). HIGHLY recommended.
It's fine for different palates but definitely overrated.
Seated on time and got water within 5 min but then another 25 min passed before anyone stopped to check on us or take an order of any kind. When I flagged someone down, they were outwardly put-upon that I had done so. (I thought the whole idea of going out for a meal was to be waited on?)
After that, the service was better. The food was amazing. Made the entire trip totally worth it.

The food was great and so tasty, but the service is a little off. The waitress got our bill wrong 2 times, and it took so much time for her correcting it and bring it back, so we waited for almost 15 minutes and some of my friends had to leave and only I was waiting for the correct bill. And then when I asked for a paper bag for my take out food, I waited and waited again. The person never come back for the bag so finally the other lady asked me what I was waiting for. They didn’t even have any bags left. Kinda disappointed at the service.
I usually go to the one in Reston, was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness and food quality in the Tysons one. This is the second time I go there and it's not as clean as the one in Reston. I orederd a vegeterian dish and there was a piece of chicken in there! Service is great .
Nice spot, 4th or 5th time.

Great place to fellowship, we had a nice time eating the delicious food. I was pleased with the food portion, I had enough for dinner and a snack for lunch. Can’t wait until our next visit😀
