Frida Mexican Cuisine - Beverly Hills
The service was terrible. My dish came out cold initially, but it took about ten minutes for the waiter to come by the table so my husband had to get up and go find him inside the restaurant. When he finally approached our table to ensure everything was okay (it wasn't), I told him my meal was delivered cold. He said "okay, so what part of it is cold?" ...The entire plate was cold, it had clearly been sitting under an (under-performing) heat lamp for too long. Luckily, he did agree to have the meal re-made, but delivered it without any salsa "because that was what made it cold when you got it the first time."
Overall, the food (when warmed) was good. The ambience was nothing special and the service was horrible. $98 for two. Not worth it.
Great Service! Fresh salad ingredients. Nice for relaxed business meeting.
They do NOT split the check, so if you go in a big group they will charge multiple cards but it is up to you to do the math! Everything was delicious EXCEPT the shrimp! Everyone who had shrimp at our table (3/9 people) had different types of shrimp and they described the taste as "dirty water" "unclean" "old" "going bad" shrimp. Our waitress did the best she could, and she did send back the food and gave them the chance to order something else. Maybe is was a bad day for shrimp? or maybe its the way they seasoned it (not sure) but everything else was to die for! I had the rib-eye tacos (YUM!!!) others has the cochinito tacos and posole! no complaints there!
Amazing service , there food is so good !! This is my restaurant
Really good guacamole & skinny margaritas
Entspanntes mexikanisches Restaurant mit gutem Essrn. Nicht überragend aber definitiv völlig in Ordnung.
Service was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and the frozen margaritas are fabulous.
We’ve always loved the food here. Over time that quality and value remains consistent.
Great fast service!
Great service and fun for larger groups. Thank you :)
Very disappointing. I don’t understand the reviews that say say great Mexican food. The salsa, which is the hallmark of a Mexican restaurant, was awful — very disappointing. I’m not sure what it was made with, but it was a huge disappointment. I asked several employees what was in the salsa and they could not really tell me what was in the salsa - one person said chicken broth. Really? The food was mediocre at best. Frankly el torrito is a better choice. Not a place I would return. Did I say the salsa was disappointing ?
Food was so so. I feel like Frida in Beverly Hills is not as good
I used to frequent Frida's when I lived in BH. I went back after 6 years, and I was under impressed.
The furniture and décor have changed drastically. It looks more like a dive than a nice Mexican Restaurant in BH. There was a water leak coming from the ceiling as you walked to the restrooms and a very foul smell. The water got on my dress sleeve as i walked by. My food was overpriced and very salty. Only positive here is that the staff is very courteous and friendly.
A repeat customer for good reason! Impeccable service & food, as always :)
I initially requested my daughters birthday to be celebrated and it was completely ignored.
Met with friends in from out of town. Centralized location in the city. Great service, nice staff and goood guacamole!
Salsa to start not so good. The sauce on the enchiladas were too tangy. The shrimp were good but overall not the best place for Mexican food unless you live near by
Excellent food and service. They put a fun sparkler in our dessert and sang to celebrate my birthday. Love this place!
Excellent service and food was delicious, as usual. Only downsides are it’s a little pricey and bit loud sitting outside.
The food was not very good at all, the chili relano was raw and completely cold inside, the sauce was lovely but not much else. My hisvand said the taco tasted like it was from canned cat food. . The appetizers were good; the margaritas we’re good but extremely small. We would not go back, there are other old time Mexican restaurants in LA that are way better.
I came here to celebrate my best friends birthday, and for the love of god, they couldn’t even get him a scoop of ice cream with a candle on it?! That’s greedy as hell to me. I chose THEM out of alllll LA to come celebrate his birthday and they couldn’t even acknowledge it. Even when I mentioned it to the waitress she made it clear that unless we purchased a dessert, she couldn’t do anything for us. HORRIBLE! Even the Olive Garden does something for your birthday.
A great restaurant. One of my favorites.
food was ok. love the chicken el rey and the fresh made guac but, the service was fair although servers were very kind. I'd go back but not too quickly!!!
Food was very good, we sat outside which although it is on the sidewalk, it was quite pleasant for lunch. The servers were attentive and punctual.
The best chocolate Mole EVER! Pricey but very well worth it! My only complaint is the seating and decor. Not very inviting or comfortable. If the environment was on par with the food I would probably never leave!
I always enjoy my food at Fridas. It is a great place to run to in the neighborhood.
Another great lunch with my daughter. Food was great and the service very attentive.
A good standby--nothing really special but good food, good service, a nice lunch/brunch/dinner place when it's not a special occasion or time to dress up. Dependable--and that a very good thing.
Frida has fabulous food and great music, but when the restaurant is busy, the service REALLY lacks. I took a new client there and we had to ask the server a few times when our food would be out. We even asked to split a margarita (blended) 3 ways, and they served it to us in one glass and made us pour it ourselves into smaller glasses at the table. Needless to say, we made a mess. ugh! Don't know if/when I will go back there. I'll need to read some great reviews of the place first.
Frida's in Beverly Hills has a more rustic feel then their larger restaurant in Glendale. Great service and a fun restaurant.
The food was great. The Patron Margarita was excellent. Our waiter was good and recommended certain dishes. The only drawback of the evening is that right after we paid the bill another waiter came over and told us the restaurant was busy and they needed our table so could be leave. When we arrived, no other patrons were present, no tables were marked reserved...we arrived early, during happy hour and had appetizers, drinks, entre and dessert...were not told there was a time limit on the table, there was no timelimit specified in the menu, so that request was a more then a little aggravating since we went to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. But, we will definitely return.
Rare find for truly great Mexican food in LA. And the margaritas are superb, with a great variety of choices.
The shrimp tacos were amazing! But I didn't care for the strawberry or mango margaritas, I found the puree to be on too sweet.
over rated - just mexican food not knock you socks off.
Best Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. Reasonably priced and great food - especially the chicken tacos. So fresh and consistently great.
The service was terrible and the tacos so salty that they were inedible. They were not taken off the bill. We paid for them instead of waiting another 1/2 hour for the waiter to come back.
This was aour second visit to Frida. We couldn't wait to go back, but the second experience was very disappointing. Maybe there has been a chef change, but the food was really disappointing.
A long time favorite for unique and upscale mexican food. You will need to search hard to find the basics, but they are there if you want them. But really, try some of their other great special dishes. Top ingredients, great service. Parking is a hassle due to the overcrowded beverly hills garages at lunchtime, but at least there is parking and its free.
Very good food and drinks. Nice location to sit outside, sip a margarita and enjoy the street traffic. Suggest the steak or pork tacos.
