Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse Alpharetta
Water is not free and no one tells you. Each glass is expended.
Awesome! Great food and service. The staff was amazing and the safety precautions were perfect.
We have wanted to go to this establishment since it opened. Being from New York, we love different foods. This place was exceptional! The food was wonderful, the service was great. Many people recommended Fogo de chao, We tried it, did not care for it. Galeto is delicious and i would recommend it to everyone. We plan on going back in a few weeks with more family members.
First time we went the food was amazing/best we ever had in this type of concept- and the service was comically bad. The second time the food was a slight step backwards but service was better. The third time we went food took another step backwards and service improved some more. Now this time, the service was great. But two things happened-one they dropped the price from 49 to 35 which was great. But they eliminated both the buffet and the churrascos that serve you and said it was not going to be a change just for the virus but a permanent change. All 7 of the people at our table agreed that the churrascos is a part of the experience and not having that takes away from the entire concept. We also prefer having the buffet as for temperature purposes- we love the cheese bread which was kept hot and refreshed on the buffet but after 5 minutes at the table was no longer warm-sure, you can ask them to bring you new ones but why? We love that this venue is close by as the next closest Brazilian is outside of "lets go get a quick bite" range and we really hope they will reconsider changing and removing the fun of the experience. A nice neighborhood venue that with a little work could be a favorite.
So glad we decided to go. They adapted to all the security measures post-pandemic and I felt safe with my family there. On top of that the food was authentic and outstanding. We recommend!
Wonderful experience during these crazy times. Service was phenomenal, Marcus was a great server. The food was delicious, drinks were great. Even having the salad bar unopened, we did not fill like we missed out on anything as they prepared special plates for every table.
The food was great and the staff were were very good at their job!
Excellent food and service we been delaithed about the flavors and selectings
Would like to get a better variety of salads and seafood.
I realized they come to your table with the beef/meet but the service was not my favorite. Then at dessert the waiter asks us if we want to leave a review, he would take the cost of a dessert off the bill. We also had to wait a long time from when we turned over out dinner tabs from red to green and again, waiting for dessert. Great food though!!
Anniversary celebration. The entire meal and experience was awesome. My only complaint is that it took too long to receive our bill when we were finished eating.
The food was outstanding! Will go again, and Marcus was wonderful!
even though we had reservations, we still had to wait 20 minutes. Then, or waiter brought our wine at the end of our meal...he NEVER came ro check on us once throughout our meal.
Food was undercooked even for me
We had a reservation for 7:30 but we weren't sat at our table until 7:50. It took about 15 mins to get our drinks. Our table was next to the bar in a corner, so the servers always missed our table. We literally had to get up and flag down the servers so we could get food. They took a lot a lot of time to bring each meat. The meat was very rare, very few meats were medium well or well done. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Brazilian Steakhouse. Maybe it was because it was Valentine's Day weekend and they weren't properly staffed for the crowd. But after this first experience, I don't think I would recommend this restaurant even to an enemy, let alone a friend.
When we were first seated by the hostess, we didnt have a server. We had to flag down someone to order our drink. Then the hostess walked by and I asked her where was our server and she seemed confused. Took another 15 min to find someone, and our drinks still hadnt arrived. Then the people who bring the meat out kept skipping our table. They wouls go to every table around us, and not stop at ours or even look our way. We notified someone who works there. Also, I like my meat well done. My husband eats it medium. Within the first 30 min of being seated i had only ONE piece of meat. While my husband had a good portion. I got irritated and just wanted to leave. It had been almost an hour of us being seated and i hadnt eaten, no service was provides, and I was just ready to go. We called the manager over and he had no sign of concern besides the fact if I enjoyed my drink because he made it him self. I really couldnt have cared who made it, I was hungry. He didnt apologize, offer to comp one of our meals, or even offer a dessert for the inconvience that I didnt eat. We still ended up paying $124 for a meal for pretty much 1. I’ve gone to Fogo and Chama , and they have ALWAYS be attentive to customers requests, and well done isnt impossible to make. Very disappointed.
Take with a grain of salt - it was the weekend after Valentine’s Day. Service good at first but slow for any drink refills or if you needed any additional items. The kitchen struggled to keep up with demand, but the chicken and filets were excellent. A lot of the other cuts had grizzly parts more than a good bite of meat. The salt rub was also good. Italian meats and cheeses were rarely refreshed at the sides buffet area, but lobster bisque and mushroom salads were delicious. Would go back during less busy time and hope they get better. Note: Very Rare!
Very slow service. The staff was far more concerned with a large party than my family of 4. At one point my husband got up to pour us water since no one was helping us. Both the waiter and manger were rude and did nothing to make it better. Very dissatisfied and we will never go back.
I had really big bad experience last time that I was there my waiter was very rude he was Throwing The silverware on my table and not removing any plate or glass on the table he was not polite
Food was amazing but service was terrible. Our waitress came to our table asked what drinks we wanted and seemed very confused. When she brought our drinks (we ordered 3 of them) 2 were incorrect, we drank them anyway. We never saw her again until she brought the bill which had 20% gratuity added. Are you kidding me! A party of six so the bill was over $300 and all she did was bring us drinks. No fresh plates, no explanation of the salad bar or anything. Luckily we’ve been to Fogo before so knew how it works. I can’t imagine people who haven’t been to a place like this before trying to figure out what’s going on. We had to get our own plates of the salad bar for the food service.
Food was delicious and abundant! The girl filling our water was most helpful when we needed something.
The food was awesome and the service was great. The servers were really quick when coming around with the different meats.
This is the second time we have dinned a Galeto's. Galeto's online gift cards lie. They claim to arrive in minutes, but only show up the next business day. The happened back on 12/19 and more recently. It needs to be fixed. Galeto's has no sound deadening, so the noise level is always way to laud. Last time, there were 3 of us, we dinned for two hours and had a great time. This time there were six of us, it was a very busy night, and the weightier was clearly over loaded. We had to track the weightier down to get the dessert menu after being there 2.25 hours. After dessert, it was the 3 hour mark before we got the check, and the 4 hour mark, before all was done and I could leave. Most of my guest had already left. The check got confused. As soon as I got the check, I gave it back with the printed gift cards. The weightier only ran the first card. when he came back I showed him there were 3 more cards. Now he ran all the rest, but also drained the last card of funds. As we were a party of 6, the gratuity was already part of the bill. I was expecting the excess to be left on one of the cards. I had to stop someone else who got this fixed. There was a lot of waiting in the last 1.5 hours that did not need to be there. The first two hours were great, and we enjoyed it very much. Although, I did have to ask for the filet mignon to have it come around. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The gourmet table anyone could eat from alone and be very happy. And I do not eat salad nor most vegetables, to give you an idea how much better it is than a really good salad bar. This would be a 5 star review if not for them being so understaffed, that they made me wait so long to finish checking out. Although the noise level might loss them a star. I know every restaurant is that way, now. But it does not make it right. You should never have to raise you voice to talk to someone near you at a table.
The meat was not good! The picanha was not ready to serve. They took a lot a lot of time to bring each meat. Our drinks they took forever to bring them and they actually brought them because we’ve asked one more time. The buffet was really good, can’t complain. The background music was horrible for the environment and for the night. They were playing carnaval samba. Samba on a Valentine’s Day night? And I’m saying samba, not nossa nova. Definitely the wrong music for the place. If they need help on that I can help. The right background music is bossa nova, jazz, smooth jazz... I’m not a picky guy. I go to steakhouses every week all my life and those things definitely got my attention. I hope Galeto can become a great one in one day.
Went for Valentine’s with my wife. The high point was that the food was great and the overall staff was friendly. The main issues were as follows: 1. when we finally got seated no one came to wait on us or really explain the process. It wasn’t hard to figure out, just that the card on the table stated this was how the “Galeto Experience” goes. 2. Throughout the meal, no waiter actually came and really it seems like a free-for-all. 3. We ordered drinks which came after the meal was finished. 4. When we finally got the drinks, they were not what was ordered, which we were told “if you want to wait for a while then they could be remade”.
To the person who did attend to us’ credit, they were able to credit us for the mixup by offering a discounted dessert. I’d want to chalk this all up to a large crowd earlier and people were tired (although the restaurant didn’t seem excessively busy) between 8-10pm. I’d give them a shot again, as this could be an outlier in their service profile, just probably not on a special occasion.
The whole restaurant was freezing . Every table around me was complaining and we all had to keep our jackets on
The had no music on and it was like a awkward silence but the music was on in the bathroom
It took 30 minutes for our drinks to come. And we had to remind our waiters helper it never came and he said the bar was backed up on orders
I’m a Chef and I’m black so I know most black people like well done but not me . So all the meat men were passing us by ( me and my husband) with meat that I would want (rare). I finally got someone’s attention and asked where is the rare meat and he says “oh we thought you guys would want well” 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ no sir .
At that moment they brought us a whole plate of different rare meats and apologized. 💜💜
My fiancé and I went here on Valentines night for the first time. The service was very, very slow, but they weren’t even that busy. The food was ok, but compared to the more popular Brazilian steakhouses they don’t even come close. We noticed that the “chefs” who brought the meats out only catered to certain tables, we didn’t get any meats until after about 30 minutes upon being seated. We won’t be back. Sorry
We went literally our entire meal without a server. We got plates from the salad bar so the churrascos would stop at our table. We ended up asking the manager for our bill when we were done because no one ever came to our table. He apologized but did not give a discount at all. The meat was either almost raw or burnt and items on the salad bar were never refilled. It was a terrible experience and we will not be going back. Go to Fogo de Chao or Rodizio if you want to eat at a Brazilian steakhouse.
They were not prepared for Valentine’s Day crowds. We never had a waiter and found our own plates in order for the meat to be delivered to the table. At the end of our meal, our “waitress” finally walked up and welcomed us as if we hadn’t been there for an hour and a half and providing our own service.
It was the worst experience ever at a Brazilian steakhouse that I ever went to I set up an reservation around 8 I showed up at 7:55 And it Was packed and I told the lady that I have a reservation for eight clock and she apologize saying that there was 15 reservations in front of me so I ask what’s the point of make a reservation in about three weeks ago she was like I apologize but it’s nothing that I can do it’s gonna be at least one hour to an hour and a half for you to sit so I Left and went home on Valentine’s Day
Worst service ever!!!! I made reservations two weeks prior to Valentines Friday for 8pm. My Wife and I arrived at 7:45 pm and got checked in. We were told they were backed up due to the crowed but to check back at 8pm. We were sat at 8:30pm. Where they sat us, it was freezing cold. My Wife asked the hostess if they could move us close to fire place and she said to wait. 15 minutes go bye and no wait stuff has come to introduce themselves and take our drink orders. We grabbed food from the salad bar and sat down. The couple seated next to us left saying "screw this".
The other couple next to us sat themselves next to the fireplace. The couple's behind us were so angry they requested the table cleaners to get the manager who never showed up. No soft music was playing. 9:15pm we asked the clean stuff to get us water which she did for everyone around us(she was the savior for our section last night). A waitress showed up 5 minutes later and apologized for the delay and asked us what we would like to drink. We ordered desert instead. I agree it was Valentine's night and it gets busy, however, waiting 45 minutes to get water is unacceptable. Thank goodness it's self service salad bar and the servers who walk with around with the meat samples. This restaurant is not equipped to handle large crowds...
This Restaurant was highly disappointing this was the first our first time going here. we had a reservation for 8pm and was not seated till 40 mins after while people who came in after us were getting seated the host were very unprofessional instead of looking for us at the bar were they told us to sit and wait they just said that it would be better for us to keep coming back and checking in to see if our table would be ready, after waiting for 40 mins and complaining to them about it, they tried to sit us directly under an ac vent, after complaining about that they finally gave us a better seat but after waiting 20 mins to be even greeted by a waiter we left and will probably not come back here again with how disappointed we were at there performance as a restaurant.
Worst experience I’ve had in the restaurant in many many years. Two other tables around me and my date we’re also not happy. Horrible service by the wait staff, meat was tough and too bright in the restaurant. Ordered drinks three separate times and never did get them. Waitress never came around to check on us and we had to get someone else to take our bill. Spoke to other tables around us and they were having the same experience and said they would not be back either. This restaurant won’t be there six months from now.
The service was horrible. I will not come here again. The night was horrible. My date was not happy, and I wasn't pleased.
Service was soooo slow. Did not understand when I preferred a gin and tonic. Saw many couples leaving extremely disappointed as we wer. Horrible night
We were sat 35 minutes after our reservation, then didn’t get a server until we were about 50 minutes into our meal (had to go to the bar to get anything other than water). When the server finally came, he asked us what we wanted, we ordered a glass of wine and a sprite, and never got it but was billed for it when we finally asked multiple people for our bill. Was never offered the meal sides or dessert. The saving grace was the bus boy that did what he could to help us and the food was actually pretty good.
6:30 reservations. Didn’t get seated until 7. We didn’t get talked to until 7:30 and that was the guy that gave out water. But the food was great! Other than the service, we didn’t have a problem
We waited one hour before we saw any lamb chops. And never saw any filet mignon. The salad bar was the best part of the food. The meats were salty and not many warm sides to choose from.
Service was horrendous. The restaurant was full, and there was clearly not enough staff for a Friday night. Our drink order arrived 40 minutes after the waiter took it. We had to beg for water. The meat service was sporadic and there were not enough servers. We were asked by the manager about our experience and he admitted that they were completely overwhelmed and requested that we give them a try again on a less busy night. For the price of the meal it was deeply disappointing. My hope is that people reading this review will steer clear of this establishment because while I wasted a large pet of my paycheck, I hope others can be spared from this scam of a restaurant.
Horrible experience! Just don’t eat here, go to Fogo de Chão, and if Fogo de Chão has no tables available just wait until they do! Your stomach and wallet will thank you...
