Garfish - Manly

Have eaten at Garfish several times for both lunch and dinner and on all occasions the food and service has been exceptional. I will have no hesitation in recommending Garfish to family and friends.

Amazing food and spectacular service. The staff and chef(s) were also great with offering gf alternatives to menu items.

Hard to beat the meal and service with a view over the beach and a cool summer breeze wafting through the big open floor to ceiling doors. Looking forward to our next special occasion there.

Cannot fault the food or the service both were of the highest quality. Fresh and healthy food cooked to perfection with service helpful but not pushy or suffocating.

Always a solid choice for food though expensive; hostess could work on how to deal with minor disagreements with customers.

I am a regular at Garfish. The service is always excellent, the food is consistently good and the ambience and outlook outstanding. Compared to other neighbouring offerings it is great value for money and a great place for special celebrations.

Garfish is consistently excellent.
Food, wine, service and wine suggestions to accompany individual dishes are always at a high standard. They are creative in their extensive menu offerings, with every seafood available. I tried carpaccio toothfish last time. I had never heard of it and the taste was sensational - very different.
Perhaps a couple more options for the non-seafood eaters (there's always one at every big table sitting).
Beautiful manly Harbour views are a bonus.

I ordered lobster and all I could taste was lemon. It was smothered In lemon. My husband tasted it and said the same.

We have been using Garfish in Manly for many years, and they just keep getting better. Super seafood in a pleasant setting with a sensible wine list and great cocktails. Our go to restaurant for a seafood dinner.

Garfish Manly is a great restaurant. Both the fish and the meat were well cooked. Service very good. I will be back there soon!

We are regulars at garfish. The only issue we ever have is the noise level
There were 7 of us on Thursday 7 th and the noise was too high.
If u can fix this the experience would be significantly better

The service was excellent the staff were welcoming especially thought this covid time they made the check in easy with no fuss.

The food was exceptional cooked to perfection.

I asked for a table next to the window which was organised easily.

Excellent overall

Amazing location and the ambience in the restaurant was incredible. They have really thought about the acoustics, the restaurant was full and buzzing, but very nice soft noise. The food was beautiful, my highlight was actually the salted caramel espresso martini. Perfect! We will definitely be recommending Garfish.

For the first time in may visits to Garfish we were disappointed with our dining experience. The food was first rate as always, but our table of 4 was in the annexe and not the main restaurant and it lacks ambience for small tables. The room was cold, the music too loud and there was no subdued lighting. Ultimately we did not feel we were eating in Garfish - we could have been anywhere. Further, we were not a last minute booking but the reservation was made 6 weeks in advance.

Great cocktails, fabulous food and amazing staff. Thanks again for a lovely night.

We always dine at Garfish when we visit Manly. It has a wonderful ambience and the food is generally good.

Although we were seated at a lovely table for two and the food was very good, the noise level was so high we could not have a conversation. Lots of people were loudly sharing and celebrating in groups of four or six. Probably not the right time of year for an intimate dinner for two. If you have problems with noise this restaurant is not a good choice.

Really good food, ambient environment and great service !

Went on a Tuesday night, full house and packed. The lady serving us was very attentive, wearing smile all the times, excellent service.
Ordered Mixed Oyster Plate was excellent, different favors and very fresh. Zucchini Flowers was bit disappointed as the stuffing was not bouncy, which was expected prawn meat. Hokkaido Scallops were small in size, unlike the normal ones imported. And the accompany pork belly was bit dull, lack of favor. Rainbow Trout was very fresh, sided with tasty sauce and salad, would highly recommended.
Ended up around $75 pp with drinks.

We were a party of 6, a few arrived early but that was not an issue. There is a lovely area where we had a drink while our table was cleared. The friendliness of the staff made our lunch so much more enjoyable. When I booked I forgot one of our friends was g/f but that was not a problem, even at late notice. As they brought out each meal they let us know which ones were g/f...all delicious. They even had g/f bread for my friend but I felt sad she couldn’t try the daily fresh baked focaccia...I could have had just that for lunch and being happy!
