spiked honey, loaded cornbread
crispy battered brioche, turkey, VA ham, gruyere, mustard aioli, cherry marmalade, vinegar slaw
I t was really nice. The service was nice and the food was delightful. I wasn't too much of a fan of the double eggs but my Husband enjoyed them. Overall I really enjoyed it! The meatloaf and Potpie were EXCELLENT
Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at Gatsby. We were able to sit outdoors and the weather was perfect. The service was good, as was the food. They were out of a couple of things we ordered, but the substitutions were good. I highly recommend the Chicken Pot Pie. It was huge and delicious!
The ambiance was top notch and the food was good but the service level was very poor. We arrived and checked in for our reservation and the host asked if we wanted inside or outside. She said inside we could be seated right away so we opted for that. Although there were at least 6 open and empty tables it took over 10 minutes to get seated. We went back up to the checkin desk and were asked if she could help us with anything. We said no we are just waiting to be seated and she snapped at us saying that they are still getting our table ready. In the 10 minutes we were waiting the table we were sat at did not change at all. We could have been sat 10 minutes earlier and they were not busy and nobody seemed to be in any kind of urgency. Very disappointing experience
Greek omelette paired with Greta’s lunch was great!! Pitcher was a little much (sugary), but 1-2 cocktails with a brunch entree and then a pastry or desert is prefect!
Pretty good. In my humble opinion, I think the drinks had too many things going on in them. Too many layers. Food was great. I had the meatloaf. I ate in like 2 mins. So good. My gf had the steak. Cooked perfectly.
Great food and drinks at good prices. The music is too loud. Had to shout at each other to talk over the music
We went for brunch to celebrate our anniversary. We really enjoyed the service and our waiter, Daryl. The recommendation we chose was the All American breakfast. It was a good size portion and tasted great. The eggs I had were scrambled and were really good without me adding anything. The bacon was nice slices. I had the Greta’s Punch for my drink and it was also great. I will definitely be back to try other entrees.
Good, but nothing to write home about. Some of us had the Fish and Sticks blue plate special, which was a good value at happy hour, but over battered.
Great service. Get the Smashburger!!!
Great Happy Hour. Try the Deviled Eggs. Awesome pre-game venue.
Had fried chicken blue plate special and smashburger during Happy Hour. Chicken and accompanying spicy honey were quite good. Cornbread was weirdly dense and the slaw was under/undressed. Wet naps would be a good addition to this dish. Smashburger was good and was accompanied by parm-herb fries which were quite tasty. Good selection of beers on tap. Wine and cocktail specials during HH.
Located at the corner right across from center field gate to Nats Park so great for pre-gaming. HH runs from 3-6 with a different $16 blue plate special per day.
Took myself to brunch. Lovely space and food!
Everything was delicious. Our food was prepared perfectly, the staff was professional and kind. We made a reservation and sat down instantly. We will return again.
A bit expensive for the menu but worth the occasional trip.
Delicious food with great service. Greatly enjoyed my experience.
Came here for dinner on a whim because all nearby restaurants were booked. The food was pretty good but I was a little disappointed in the service initially. Once we finally got a waiter, he was very attentive but the amount of time between us sitting down and getting water poured until having someone take our drink/food order was too long in my opinion because the place wasn’t busy.
Everything was ok minus the amount of flies/gnats there are INSIDE. There ended up being a gnat in my wine glass. The deviled eggs aren't that great but I love the seafood pasta i had, so did the gnats
Everything was incredible! We went for the deal that they sent out but were impressed by everything they offered. My noise level was only because we sat outdoors; not their fault!
Would definitely go again! Also looks like a great event venue.
Great location and interior decor, loved the Watergate Cake!
The service was terrific, and the food was delicious! The quiche, which is new, was moist and tasty.
We went for a birthday celebration during happy hour. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our service and conversation with Ruben. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and made the birthday celebration so much fun. The food was excellent and plentiful. I love the whole "Gatsby" era the restaurant is built around. I'm planning to go back to get a different flavor/vibe later in the evening. I totally recommend it.
Love this place! It is walking distance from my apartment so we frequent Gatsby for dinner and brunch.
You MUST try the Greta’s Punch. It’s delicious and refreshing.
Definitely being added to the rotation! Great new restaurant with plenty of space and great tasting food.
Both the deviled eggs and arancini were excellent! Greta’s Punch was also delicious.
First time visit here, and my party of 3 opted to dine outside. Having made a reservation, we were seated promptly. Service was friendly and relaxed, no hard sells. Menu is not extensive but our dishes--two had chicken pot pie, and I had Caesar salad with grilled chicken breast--were delicious. The dessert menu looked tempting but, given the warm weather and our devouring of our entrees, we passed. Based on this one experience, I would certainly dine there again.
Great place to go! Highly recommend!
The barmen didn’t want to serve me as he had some issues with my nationality - first thing he asked me was where are you from? He didn’t ask if I want some water. And he wasn’t satisfied that I said New Jersey. He was wondering which country I am from before seeing me. So he didn’t serve me any water and refused to serve me as he was not satisfied with my ID - I had my driving license and a passport - which was from a different country but it was in English so he could read it. This is not right to treat customers that way. I didn’t talk to the manager but I did talk to the hostess-she was very understanding and even tried to make it up. But I was afraid he would spit in my food - he really looked mad when he saw my nationality.
Very good. Only issue is the chocolate in my croissant want fully melted. Lol Everything else was great
It was fine. The food was all nicely plated with a lot of attention to detail and presentation, but the taste was… fine. A little on the bland side, if anything.
Delicious food (my favorite was the arancini) and friendly, attentive staff.
Had the Greek omelette and it was absolutely delicious! Service was great. Cocktails are about $15 or more, and are very well made.
Great service and food was delicious.
Just became one of my favorite DC restaurants. Came for the restaurant week menu, cocktails and wine. Added the mac and cheese a la carte as well. Looking forward to exploring the menu on future visits.
Celebrated 4 birthdays yesterday at Gatsby what a wonderful time we had… We’re outside and the weather couldn’t have been better… the service was a bit slow but we didn’t mind too much because the vibe of our getting together to celebrate our Leo birthdays was awesome.
Food was good however we were disappointed knowing that if one person in our party order from the restaurant week menu, Then the entire party had to order from the restaurant wk menu… It made no sense AT ALL! They are preparing everything on the menus no matter so why was that necessary never ever experienced that before.. so some of the party were not happy with choices..
The special birthday surprise at the end was very nice.
I wld return to this restaurant but not during restaurant week
I'm not sure why everything at our table took the waiter so long. During our stay, three different parties came and went from the table next to ours. In spite of a ball game starting across the street, the place was not crowded. We ordered drinks, brunch items, or prix fixe meals from the Restaurant Week menu, nothing complicated. Negatives: The waiter wasn't wearing his mask over his nose. The bathroom light was so dark that I couldn't even see the black toilet seat; I'm surprised there hasn't been a serious accident in there. Positives: my friends thought the food was delicious (I loved the eggplant caponata), we had a clear view of the ballpark's jumbo screen from our upstairs table, and the decor was cute. Not sure I'd give it a second chance.
We ate outside, which kept noise level down though lots of fans walked by on way to Nats Park—-which location was also reason we chose Gatsby.
Service was “leisurely. “ However, we were with friends and had arrived well before game started. So it worked out fine.
The view across from National’s park was nice our waitress Kadijah was phenomenal. Now the food the appetizer were excellent the entree was less than expected which changed 5 start to 3 the the desert was meh 😑. So the three starts is for the waitress, appetizers and view.
Great experience, nice view from our table to the Nationals Park. Excelent food and service, would recommend!
The security guard & receptionist verbally attacked me for forgetting my mask when I recognized in the beginning of the check in that I forgot & needed to run to my car to grab one. No good evening or greeting just immediately attacking me AFTER I recognized I forgot. My server (Keith) made up for the encounter…thankfully. Order the hot & sour wings & margs!!!
Service was not very good nor attentive. Layout of restaurant causes food and beverage delays...multiple dining levels with kitchen and bar on 1st level. Just was not a pleasant experience.
