I was highly underwhelmed. The other two Tryon International restaurants were very good so I expected similar here. Not the case, unfortunately. There were VERY few menu choices and we were told 'this is a menu tonight' - which was a Saturday in August. I had fried green tomatoes as my meal and they were awful. The tomatoes were mealy and flavorless. The breading was not appetizing. I ate 3 of the 5 but couldn't handle any more. I ordered the Mini Peach Pie for dessert to go. When I opened it up there was a tiny tart with a few peach slices in it and a commercial package of something I didn't open but I assumed must have been ice cream. They didn't tell me it was there and I didn't go directly back to my room so it was pure liquid when I got there. I threw it in the freezer but even by the next morning it was still entirely liquid. My husband had the hangar steak which was tough. Thoroughly disappointed in Gertie Mae's.

The Korean fried chicken wings to start were very good. After that no. The seaweed salad is a flat no crunch at all limp salad no vinegar /acid we ate one bite and no more . I got the Poke- I ordered tuna - got salmon . It said crispy rice , but the whole thing was deconstructed and no sauce . It was rice balls and large slices of avocado not cubes to match the fish , large slices of mango nothing in proportion. The other guest ordered out of the ramen or hibachi menu . Got ramen for 11.00 with noodles broth and egg . Had to pay 18.00 for the protein 🤦‍♀️which was a beef rib / how do you eat that with ramen made no sense and way pricey . Would not go back.
