Giacomo’s- easily one of the best restaurants in the area, always a great meal, welcoming atmosphere, and an unforgettable experience that immediately begs you to reserve your next time. If you haven’t been there, go. If you have, you know exactly what I mean... every meal sets you up for the next one!!

We were very disappointed with our dining experience. You ran out of bread. Didn’t have any specials. Couldn’t order dessert even though we were only there one hour. You don’t have gluten free flourless chocolate cake anymore to take home. Overall disappointed. We felt rushed in and out in one hour. We have eaten at Giacomo’s for all of our family’s birthday celebrations this year and on New Year’s Eve.

Wonderful spot to go for amazing food ! Run by some of the best, would recommend this place to everyone !

Food is delicious, like the North end. You can’t go wrong with any of their pasta dishes. Prices were reasonable. Good service and friendly waitstaff. Will return.

Giacomo's was everything we wished for in a romantic night out!

Service:
We were seated very quickly and water and bread was immediately delivered to our table. We ordered an the arancini and bottle of wine and within just a few minutes both were delivered. The pace never felt rushed or too slow, it was great.

Food:
For entrees, we had the red pepper and goat cheese gnocchi and the shrimp and chicken penne in a pesto cream sauce. Both were awesome - the flavor of the gnocchi was robust and the vegetables with it were awesome. The penne was cooked perfectly and the pesto was so fresh the basil had a nice bite to it. We split a cannoli martini for dessert - it was the perfect end to the meal.

Ambiance:
There were clear partitions up between seats which separated some of the non-booth tables from each other. Although the restaurant is long and narrow it didn't feel cramped. There was a great deal of chatter that made the perfect background noise mixed with music. It was like a busy cafe where you can hear noise, but not conversations. The lighting was nice, too. At first our seats were a bit chilly as we were seated next to the window, but it was nice to see the christmas lights on the street outside.

Always a sure thing. Always delicious. Always had been hustling and bustling prior to Covid. Made me sad to see the restaurant empty. Wonderful family and staff struggling. Remember them when you pay your bill.

Very clean. They do everything possible to make sure they comply with all COVID Safety protocols. Food is delicious!

Loved this cozy Italian spot! Very authentic menu and extremely reasonably priced! Portions were big - we all had leftovers to take home. Excellent drinks.. we got the espresso martini and cannoli martini for dessert - if you go for anything, go for a dessert martini!

Phenomenal dining experience for my wife's birthday. Food was awesome, and the service was excellent. Hoping to get back there soon.

Made a res somewhat last min to go out in Melrose and decided to try Giacomos rather than the 1,908,342 other Italian restaurants on the north shore. 🙄
Atmosphere made me happy as it felt like pre-CoVid and they were excellent about the social distancing and barriers.
I had the Cod and the dish was good. I think they load it too much much. Seemed more focus on the quantity versus the quality. Don’t get me wrong, it was good however they could cut the pate in half and still have a ton.
Martini was fantastic and service was outstanding!

Food great as always. Waitstaff could have been friendlier. She seemed extremely short and abrasive.

Not a fine dining experience by any stretch. Very casual from service to food quality. Our waiter was good but overall service was rushed and sloppy. The food was decent at best but nothing special. Dining room is very crowded and noisy. Large portions to make up for mediocre food. My whole dish tasted burnt. Meh.

It was okay. Food used to be above average. Now just average. No coffee products but plenty of alcohol... doesn't make any sense. I miss how it used to be. I still recommend it overall.

Usually the food is amazing, the appetizers were burnt i'm not even sure why they thought it was OK to bring them to the table, it also looks like the portion sizing went down

Wasn't impressed at all. Place was way too packed. Not enough staff. Took over 30 minutes to get seated and get one drink with reservations. Food came out before I had a sip. Rushed. Sever was not friendly. Loud and crowded. Will not be back.

Food was amazing and service super friendly. Even if we were eating in a parking lot it was still a great experience.

Have been eating there for several years. AMAZINGLY good food, love the staff who are so friendly and attentive, even when they're super busy. The ambiance is great. Outside dining was also great.

Not impressed with Shrimp Scampi. Three pounds of pasta and literally five shrimp. tasted like it was just coated in olive oil. Not much flavor. Very disappointed.

Felt very safe here. Even ate inside . Food was delicious and Service was excellent. Steak was cooked exactly how I ordered it. Fruit deMare was delicious except scallops were a little rubbery but clams calamari shrimp etc. Was perfect. Great menu. Can't wait to go again.
