I love the relaxed feel of this place . I definitely would return to try more dishes. The sopes were amazing. The table was a bit high and wobbly but everything else was great. Everyone loved the waffles. Service was well-timed and friendly, mimosas were great.
We had a party of 10 RSVP days before to celebrate my sisters 26th bday. At first we were all served by friendly servers. During buffet my grandfather bit into a metal screw!!! Without causing a scene the waiter grabbed the screw with no solution, so we kindly asked another waiter for the manager. Not only did shrug and ignore the situation as not a big deal, they failed to pull the Shaffer pan where another screw could possibly be found. Not once did we get an apology or complimentary anything to help the situation. Five minutes prior to two full hours of us being seated, waiter only gave us 5 minutes to surrender the table for the next party vs us letting us 30 minutes prior. Now she did give us the option to move the party outdoor to the patio. As we gathered our things to move outside the front host notified us we could not go outside? After we’re given the option they pointed fingers toward each other arguing up front making us all feel uncomfortable. We were then moved to the deli side with no seating. Waiter even laughed saying we could move tables together for space. If not mistaken that a violation and possible claim. From all of this I would never refer anyone here, didn’t feel welcomed, and received terrible service.
This was our 2nd time there. The first time the food was great, but the service was very bad. We gave it another shot and it paid off! The food was great again and our sever George was awesome!! We will be back again for sure.
Made a reservation at 11:00 am. Arrived 10:50am
Table or booth is not ready we were asked to seat at bar and start getting out food. Coffee is cold. Asked for manager complaining about our reservations at 11:00am
Add table after talking with the manager. Seated 11:18 am
Celebrating another birthday and two year anniversary cancer free
Service was horrible we left after sitting for 40 min with out receiving our drinks and appetizers and no one ever took our dinner order
We had a great time. Our server was outstanding and the food delicious
The food is great. Service is young need to be more educated on menu and care about what they are doing. The service doesn't match the look of the restaurant.
The chicken was way over done, but the ribs and tri tip was amazing, and the food in general was really tasty especially for the price. Would've been nice to have non-dairy options for coffee or even just to drink and for butter too. The best service was the bus boy...he was amazing. Refreshing the buffet bar and clearing our plates, but the server showed up once, we ordered orange juice and had to go to the bar to get it ourselves, and didn't see her again until we went to the front to get our check. It didn't seem that busy so it was nice. Would go again if we were back in the area.
Menu is a little weird, really meat heavy. Only 3 pizzas to choose from? Only vegetarian choice was angel hair in tomato sauce. Even the gnocci came with chicken, which is a weird choice. I don't think I've ever had gnocci with anything other than just sauce. Wine list was pretty slim. Staff started turning off the lights around our table at 7:30. This was on a Saturday night. I guess downtown Salinas isn't really a Saturday night life destination... If everything was about $5 cheaper I'd consider going back, its really beautiful inside, but the food was pretty meh for the price. It's definitely not a $30 steak dining experience.
Food was ample and well made, but the service is inexperienced and somewhat aimless in their catering to guests.
The $24 breakfast buffet was very disappointing. We were seated promptly but we were not approached by a server for about 15 minutes. No one went over the buffet menu or explained the logistics. The chilaquiles were soggy, the eggs looked like they might be powder; and the sopes were chewy. All of the deserts were bought elsewhere and brought in- nothing was freshly made on site. The only thing wroth it were the $6 bottomless mimosas which would be $15 (if I remember correctly) if ordered outside of the buffet. I will stick to patronizing this place for drinks only when a friend or a group makes the suggestion since it is not a place I'd independently think about patronizing.
The staff went out of their way to assist me with a large party in the patio. Great service all around.
Great Salinas downtown spot with good service great food !
2 Birthday celebrations, food was great and service was excellent. The accommodated our every need with a great attitude. Very welcoming
Waitress was not friendly. She never came to check on us Unless we flagged her down.
We chose to celebrate our anniversary at Giorgio's, and we had an outstanding time . The entire experience from start to finish exceeded our every exspectation. Martha our server was outstanding and the chef performed magic with our meals. Bravo!
The receptionist and waitress were so nice! Food was delicious too. Can't wait to go back :)
The food was amazing defenetly great quality food. Worth the price you pay. Will defenetly go more often as this was my first time going.
It was mostly empty but still had slow service. Food was not good and very overpriced. Happy hour menu is tastier than regular menu
Food was excellent. Good quality, good taste. Service was lacking. Ran out of plates more than once and people had to wait for plates for more than 3 minutes before getting food
The food and atmosphere are absolutely great. Unfortunately they were under staffed on Mothers Day brunch buffet. The chafing dishes were constantly empty, the desserts were all but missing, the drinks were never replenished and although they found my reservation that I confirmed both on Open Table and via phone twice, they did not have a table for us. They scrambled to get us one, but it was obvious they needed a better process and more people to assist.
It was nice. My family enjoyed the food. I expected brisket, which I enjoy more. Family did not care for prime rib, no flavor. The orange juice was horrible..tasted like chlorinated water was used..obviously not fresh! food was just ok...cold at times.. I would recommend but with warnings...
Wonderful family experience. Delicious food and options. Also enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. We will go back!
Why was the Mother's Day Brunch $10 more than any other Sunday? The buffet was the same. The food was fresh and good, except for the salmon. That was inedible. The waffles were light and good, the eggs benedict excellent. $34 should have included drinks.
egg benedics, muffin was rubbery, and too overcooked.
chilaquilles, way too hot
no dressing for salad.
not what we expected!
very good food - the place is not cheap. we were very surprised at how few people were there on a saturday evening.
I was really disappointed in the food quality and the choices. There wasn't much fresh items available, most of it was carbs and for someone who can't eat that much carbs left me with 3 choices and for 24.00 that was the most expensive meal in my intire life. I expected more from this place.
Overall Easter Brunch was very good, especially the value. The only negative comments I have is that there were several empty food trays on the buffet line and we had made a reservation for the patio and ended up in a back room and couldn't hear and of the live music.
I expected better quality food for Easter Brunch. Its was just very average quality food
I love the brunch at Giorgio's! My family and I attended the Easter brunch, and it was great. The live music was awesome. The food was good as always. The hostess, Ana, was very sweet and helped me with some last minute reservation issues. She was very professional, and super nice. She made sure to accommodate us as best as she could. We will be sure to return for brunch again!
Food was cold
.service was horrible tip was included for only 4 people at 22 bucks just to refill water when asked
Went for Easter brunch. Music too loud. Carving station employees fabulous. Hostesses confused, took long time to get seated, then gave no instructions to get started. Half done with food before we got drinks. Asked water boy for salt and pepper, delivered after we finished. Food fabulous, service lousy.
Easter brunch was a totally enjoyable experience for the whole family. The staff was courteous, effecient and were checking on us often. Mary our server was great. Entertainment by the Sand Dabs made it a perfect morning.
We had been to Giorgio's before and really enjoyed it. They’ve reduced hours to Fri-Sun and the menu has changed significantly, and seems to offer very similar items to a nearby restaurant now. The piped in music was so loud we needed to yell across the table. We decided not to order cocktails but the water we were given immediately upon sitting down was never refilled through the meal. Not likely to go back.
Myself and two girlfriends had dinner for a girls night. Our appetizer (Calamari), cocktails and dessert were all delicious. We all had the Truffled Gnocchi for our entree. Overall it was tasty, but the chicken was a tad dry and all of it was a bit too salty. We also all wished it had come with more sweet potatoes. Our overall experience was a good one and we will eat there again.
Cody the server was really nice. It took awhile at the beginning to get service by after that it all went well.
Beautiful restaurant with good food, but service was lacking.
Wonderful champagne brunch only disappointment was our table was not set up or wiped down (we sat outside) when we arrived and our waitress was on her first day - with a table of 8. I did a lot of getting items myself for our group as she wasn't too sure about most things. I think they perhaps should have started off inside with smaller tables. Otherwise - a wonderful meal and setting. We will definitely go back.
Loved the Sunday brunch buffet and endless mimosas. Food was excellent with a great selection and variety. Customer service was great too. What I didn’t like was that they don’t give each table your own juice carafe with your bottle of champagne. It’s really inconvenient to have to walk across the room to fill your flute with a splash of juice. Never been to a brunch spot with endless mimosas that makes it like this. Super inconvenient. We ended up buying carafes for the table because of this. I also wish there was music playing. But maybe this place isn’t looking to be a cool/hip brunch spot. Overall, a great experience.
