Glass Brasserie - Hilton Sydney
Ordered the lamb for two and what arrived at our table was raw lamb cutlets that had to be sent back to be cooked to at least rare along with some chunks of lamb shoulder. Last visit we were served an amazing slow cooked shoulder of lamb and expected same! Fish for two came serves as seafood paella!!!
This is one of our favourite restaurants when we visit Sydney. Consistently great food, particularly their steaks, stunning decor and friendly efficient service
Exceptional as always. Must say the play list of music was outstanding as well.
Good most of the time. Vegan crumpets unusual and needed honey. Coffee needed to be redone. Service friendly. Great surroundings.
I had a terrific light lunch for 3 people. I thought the food was excellent and so good to have a choice between small dishes and larger size. Keep it up!
beautiful space, great food - a lovely lunch experience
Great restaurant lovely menu and varied range of wine.
Dinner with 3 girlfriends was a fun decadant treat....
Always a pleasant experience that's why I'm a returning customer , good work to all the staff , keep doing what you do best !!!
We were a little disappointed with Glass. The restaurant is a little, tired since our last visit a couple of years ago. Chairs are worn and showing signs of wear, the menu hasn’t seemed to evolve and the restaurant seems to have generally lost its special touch. We were disppointed that the whole duck had sold out, for a 7.30 Booking on a Friday evening. We wouldn’t be in a hurray to return.
Having now eaten in the Glass Brasserie 3 times over the past week, on the first occasion alone and on the subsequent occasions with another person the seating was not suitable. The first occasion on my own I was sat at a table with bench seating where the table placement meant I sat on a join of two seating sections - not comfortable. On the second occasion we were placed on the end of a bench seat in a corner. We asked to be moved to a table with chairs and were most grateful that this request was accommodated. On the 3rd occasion request for a table was accommodated but the table set for two with one looking into the full dining area and the other looking at the coat cupboard.
Amazing food- value for money- I was full and the ambiance was great too. Will definitely go back again.
I go here every year since 2016 to celebrate my birthday and it never disappoint. I love glass brasserie breakfast buffet!
A family dinner celebrating a birthday. Service was attentive. Food was delicious & choice was excellent. We were seated at a great table overlooking QVB which was relatively quiet. Overall a great night.
Excellent service and food - will definitely return
Glass Brassiere is really the best restaurant we’ve been to, and we do eat out a lot.
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady. Our dishes were presented beautifully and every single bite was flavor some and delicious. The staff were so amazing and nothing was too much trouble at all. Dessert is incredible and the coffee was not a let down either.
They have an amazing wine selection also but I would highly recommend the Margan Barbera!
A perfect , much needed, date night with absolutely no regrets. We will certainly be back.
What a great lunch spot in the heart of Sydney! We had the prawns and zucchini flowers for entree and then a fillet steak and lamb shoulder for main. We shared a donut (must have) for dessert, which reminded me of childhood in a grown up sort of way. All the dishes were amazing. Service was excellent. Wine list is impressive but must admit we really loved the cocktails (Australian and a Mayday). It was a great surprise to have Luke Mangan come and say hi towards the end of our meal. His interest in our experience demonstrates why it’s a 1st class experience. We will be back again. ❤️
We selected the breakfast buffet and it did not disappoint! There was a wide variety of options to choose from for both food and drink. We were also able to order personal omelettes, which weren’t as good as I had hoped but still decent. Delicious pastries and breads to pick from as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very classy and modern, beautiful environment.
A great meal in fantastic settings - subtle lighting, high ceilings and well spaced tables. The service was outstanding. The starters were first class however the "meat for 2" special mains was on the rare side of the requested medium-rare and several parts of my portion had inedible fat / gristle. We were both left feeling overly full - they say you don't feel full until 30 mins after you are! Sadly we didn't make it to deserts! Overall an impressive meal and we will be back again soon for sure...
The food and service was excellent. I would highly recommend to others which I have already done.
Lovely meal however we were extensively overserviced throughout which made having a conversation extremely difficult. There was always a sense of someone hovering around us. We had no fewer that 4 staff waiting our table of two. We had the Menu for 5 minutes and were approached 3 times to order. During the meal every 5 minutes we were checked on. Simply - we were interrupted a lot! However when the end of the seating time arrived and it became clear that the restaurant wasn’t fully booked - and we had finished our meal - the overly attentive wait staff disappeared and we waiting 15 minutes for the bill! A strange customer experience and opportunities for improvement.
My favourite restaurant!
There's a vegan menu and the food tastes amazing! Nothing awful leaves the kitchen. The staff are professional and their smiles are contagious.
food was great!! Severs were excellent. However, there seems to be a problem with the reservation system. I was a tourist and I had a hard time using my cell phone, but the confirmation text came only on my cell phone. I think if you came by e-mail, you would have been able to check. Maybe my reservation was canceled. The restaurant showed me to the empty seat without elaborating. After talking about the seats you wanted in the restaurant, you were given the available seats, but most of the seats were reserved.
It was a little too loud for a business meeting. But that’s the only negative
Was great will do come back next time
Overall experience is great. Highly recommend the salmon ceviche, very well- balanced dish. The chocolate mousse is a must try too.
Food was excellent. Wines by the glass selection was too limited.
Great venue overlooking the beautiful Queen Victoria building. Very attentive staff and delicious food made for a very happy birthday experience
Service was outstanding, our food, not quite the normal exceptional standard. At least our mains weren’t delivered to the table before finishing entrees as I previously experienced here, some time ago now.
Wonderfully consistent with a plush atmosphere, attentive service and an amazing wine selection. For such a high quality experience, value is rather good.
We selected the degustation menu with wine pairing for our anniversary dinner.
The place looks beautiful and intimate after the renovation. And the service impeccable.
Our sommelier was great taking the time to explain the wine selection and even giving us a printed list of the wines we’d enjoyed at dinner.
The food was exquisite. Each dish was beautifully prepared, and seamlessly led from one course to the other. All were equally good, however I have to say, the crab omelette and the chai Panna Cotta were our favourites.
My wife and I spend a great time here. I recommend vegetables that are really good. If I have an anniversary I will go one more. Thanks.
We have been given a window table as it was my birthday. The service was excellent and I was presented with small cakes on a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written in chocolate, which made the occasion very especial.
Our third recent visit and has maintained high standard on each occasion. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable - great ambience with wine racks and expansive views of QVB. Food is very tasty and interesting flavour combinations with good/balanced size courses.
Excellent food and service as per usual - always recommended.
Good brasserie food, refreshingly substantial portions, pleasant atmosphere (apart from some pretty annoying "golden oldies" pop as background music - come on, guys, Saturday dinner in a smart hotel calls for something considerably more sophisticated). The service was, if anything, rather too intrusive and obsequious; it wouldn't hurt to tone it down a notch.
Good quality produce cooked beautifully and served with attention
Great wine list well priced at all levels
Sensational service in a timeless venue
Hard to beat
The sommelier was great and we were pleasantly surprised to see one of our favourite Hunter reds on the list (exhorbitant but you expect that). The drinks waiters at the bar could take some lessons (they were slow, unknowledgeable and confused). The food waitress was flustered. The ambiance was lovely. The food was nice but for the cost of the mains there's better around. It was nice, but I wouldn't race back.
Always amazing. Steak Tarta amazing best I have ever had
Bottomless breakfast not value for money, very limited options in breakfast and nothing like signature dishes, very standard routine breakfast items.
High expectations let down by the food.
My ribeye was a huge disappointment, being unevenly cooked, medium rare, was OK at edges, raw in centre, and too much gristle, which made it a mission to cut through. Vegetables were OK, but the plate of fries were merely warm and had been standing for some time before served.
Partners barramundi was pleasant but not up to standard expected here.
Price too high in the circumstances.
