Delicious food and quaint ambiance! Will definitely be back!

I loved everything about Glass Onion! Easy parking (literally got a spot right outside the front door), very COVID compliant, excellent food, terrific service (waiter made a great wine recommendation) and the tiramisu was the perfect ending:) I'd easily return anytime!

It's been our special occasion restaurant since it opened and it is nice to have something a little more up scale so close to home without having to deal with the quagmire in Asheville. Food and service are always great.

Really nice dining experience. First of all, charming site, including old style ceiling. We both enjoyed a cocktail, a fresh salad and a well prepared meal. Particularly nice was the gnocchi. The service was attentive. We found the Covid cleaning protocol at a really good level. Also appreciated is the easy parking in Weaverville. Do not hesitate. Go and enjoy.

My husband and I are loving this spot as our weekly date night. We now are bringing friends as a fun double date spot!

Convenient location in downtown Weaverville with ample on-street parking. Each time my wife and I have had dinner at Glass Onion the food has been great. This time was no exception. We ordered the specials of the night and were pleased with our choices. We felt comfortable with the way they arranged the tables to provide separation from other dinners.

Consistantly the best food in and north of Asheville! There is something for everyone on their menu and the salads are super fresh and creative. We had striped bass, steak and a perfectly grilled chicken at our table. The garlic rolls they start you with are killer!!!!

It remains one of our Asheville area favorites. We've probably dined here about 20 times over the past 8-9 years, always enjoy it, it's also always consistently very good. They are a small business working hard to keep the doors open during Covid, so we were happy to give them our business. The service is always very good, friendly, and the food is always excellent. I had the wild boar bolognese, my wife has the trout. Both were great! I believe we've had most everything on the menu and it's all very good.

Glass Onion never disappoints! My wife and I go as often as possible!

Charming restaurant in downtown Weaverville proves you don’t have to go to Asheville for a gourmet foodie experience. Varied menu with delicious food and top notch service in a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The warm date salad is a must, and the mousakka was some of the best I’ve ever had. For dessert we lucked out that creme brûlée was on the menu and we all agreed it was the best we’ve had in years. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Glass onion food is consistently good quality never let you down

This is a FANTASTIC restaurant! Our family of 4 had dinner during Christmas week. This was our first time as we were visiting from Charlotte! The ambiance is causally elegant and intimate, the food was fantastic! I had fresh pasta with sausage and chicken, my husband had the Seafood Cannelloni, one child had the ravioli and the other had the trout. All were scrumptious and delectable! We also ordered a nice bottle of super Tuscan wine based on a recommendation from our server and it was perfect! Highly recommend the Glass Onion for anyone looking for a fantastic meal!

We go there usually 2 a month. With all of the outstanding places to eat in Asheville that is saying much about Glass Onion

By far the best meal we had this trip. I was amazed by the service as well as the food. Compliments to the chef! My wife had the gnocchi and I had the scallops. The raspberry cheesecake was so delicious. As you can tell, very happy!

I love that Weaverville has a nice restaurant with a changing menu. The ambiance is nice and the staff are always super friendly. The food this time wasn’t that great. Our table ordered several salad of the night. It was a Spinach salad with goat cheese, nuts, and a balsamic dressing. They were drowning in dressing. It was delicious but was WAY too much dressing. I ordered the trout and it was kind of bland. I tried my friends salmon over risotto and it was much better. The garlic knots are to die for!

We are fortunate to have the Glass Onion as out go-to night out restaurant. The food is creative without going too far down the "artsy path", always delicious, reasonably priced and served in a low-key atmosphere with great service. You can actually talk without raising your voice.
I am a trained chef with a restaurant history and now own a B&B and Glass Onion is the first choice on my recommendation list.

My husband & I have eaten at the Glass Onion a number of times. The food is always outstanding & service is wonderful. I always feel like I’m very welcome & the ambiance makes you feel warm & comfortable. We will be returning for another great meal.

We dined here Thanksgiving 2019 as well and enjoyed a fabulous meal here yesterday. We strayed from the usual and ordered two other specials, Seared Scallops with Parsnip - Carrot Purée and the Beef Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and sautéed Brussels sprouts. Each was delicious, cooked and presented perfectly by attentive waitstaff. The Glass Onion is a one-of-a-kind boutique eatery tucked away near Asheville in Weaverville, NC. We’ll definitely return before next Thanksgiving!!
