Gleesons of Booterstown is a bright, spacious and beautifully designed dining space and bar in the heart of Booterstown. It is a local gathering place for family, friends and neighbours to catch up over good food and drinks. Enjoy an exceptional five star dining experience consisting of only the finest locally sourced Irish produce for each of our dishes. With a menu filled with choice, our dishes are prepared to suit every palette. Favorites include Chicken Piri Piri, Pan Fried Plaice, Beef and Guinness Pie, Prime Irish Fillet Steak with Daily Specials too. We’re open seven days a week serving breakfast from 8am, lunch from 12 Noon and dinner from 5pm with friendly service and a smile.

    We have previously eaten in Gleesons and have been very happy however on this occasion we were quite disappointed. The food tasted like it was sitting under the heat as it was cute rubbery. We had just finished our starter and our main courses arrived straight away which wasn’t a great sign.

    The food for Lunch was just OK but overpriced . My friend visiting the area wanted something light for a main course so I had had the quiche there some years ago when it was very good, but when it arrived it was embarrassing, it was the size of a starter for about €15 and I had to apologise to my friend for having recommended it. Glass of wine overpriced. Service was a bit brusque, just adequate

    We went to Gleeson’s before the Leinster match. As it was Good Friday we all had the filet of sole goujons. They were all breadcrumb and very little fish. I was very disappointed as Gleeson’s has a good reputation for food. Unfortunately it was t the case last Friday.

    I had booked to stay at the guesthouse for 1 night and had pre booked a table for 1 for that night. Initially when i walked into the restaurant area i was informed my table was in the bar area. There was no distinction of options when booking online. I was placed at a small table inside the door. Staff were somewhat inattentive to guests and i believe staff were not each allocated their own tables to look after which lead to a somewhat chaotic nuisance of staff members not knowing who had ordered, who was waiting on food etc. I order the 8oz fillet steak for main course cooked medium well. The meat was cooked to my requirements however the piece of steak that came out was more like minute steak that would be used for a steak sandwich rather than fillet steak. The dessert of brownie was very nice and their drinks were well made. All and all food was okay but poorly disorganised staff. Also to inform guests the choice at the time of booking a table whether they want the restaurant or the bar. I will know for future reference to request the restaurant. Having had breakfast in the restaurant the following morning, it is a much nicer dining space than the bar area.

    We had a wonderful meal both nights of our lovely stay here. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. I also had the best Eapresso Martini I have ever tasted! Colette is a wonderful manager and looked after us so well, as did all the waitresses too.

    This is my favourite restaurant in Dublin as it always welcomes me and my guests, happily and attentively looks after us and the cuisine can not be surpassed. There is always something desirable for each guest on the menu, and their fish is always fresh and finest quality. The dining areas are so spacious and during COVID we were able to enjoy our lunches outside without getting wet and staying warm. I would enjoy Gleesons at least once a week, with different family members or friends. I can happily avail of their restrooms as they are kept in the highest level of cleanliness, to me this is so important. The staff are the best group one could find and make each of our visits memorable. I’ll be back! Thank you all in Gleesons, and I am looking forward to my next visit very shortly.     I ordered an egg Mayo sandwich which was basic to say the very least. There is not much you can do with an egg Mayo but this was an open sandwich with a scraping is egg Mayo and a tiny serving of coleslaw on the side. Most uninspiring and unattractive and tasted of very little.

    Despite a very busy time in this restaurant the service was very good and the food was as always consistent. With a mix of age groups in our party the menue was very well received by all. Highly recommend this venue.
