Gourmet Food Parlour Dunshaughlin recently won the OpenTable Diner's Choice Award. The 70 seater restaurant can be found at Fingal Court, just off Dunshauglin’s Main Street. Centrally located to allow easy access for customers, the restaurant is located on the second floor with lift and stair access. The restaurant overlooks Main Street and includes a stylish cocktail lounge, for drinks to be enjoyed before or after eating.

The restaurant has been meticulously decorated in an elevated Gourmet Food Parlour aesthetic. The restaurant will be open 7 days a week, from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday and Tuesday, 8:30am – 11pm Wednesday to Friday and 9am – 11pm on Saturday and Sunday.

    Best GFP location by far. Decorated very well. Cliodhna's virgin Pornstar Martini is outstanding. Delicious. Next time you're driving, you dont have to miss out on taste. Beet & Pear salad was fab. Not my firstime in Dunshaughlin, and will def be back

    Really enjoyed our meal, the food was lovely, and the service was great, the waiting staff were very attentive, credit to the younger staff members who seemed genuinely happy and enthused. Everything was very positive, only downside was the Whiskey Sour wasn't great.

    Good food but overall customer service wasn’t great didn’t get check upon once the whole time we were there except when they wanted us to pay but managed to check up on everyone else . Also blatantly ignored us when we tried get there attention.

    First visit to this excellent restaurant. All the staff were really friendly. Probably the best customer experience we have had in a restaurant for some time. Food very good and tasty and just the right portions. Will be back.

    I had poached eggs and bacon for breakfast which arrived with a side of relish! It was so tasty and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble ! GFP gets my top rating because it deserves it!

    Very poor service, waited 45mins for my lunch. Passed comment to the staff at 35mins, that we were waiting and when the food came, my beef burger was burned so badly and it was chewy and hard when trying to bite into. Was so hungry and fed up, so I didn't want to comment to the staff again. Buttermilk burger was also cremated and too well done. Crispy crumb on the outside was so crispy and hard, that it was hard to chew into, way too over done. Sad to have waited so long for that.

    Me and my friend with for a half hour on our table as wasn't ready. Then we we order our mains and we only had a cocktail each. We were asked about a dessert but we asked for a cocktail menu. We were with for over a half hour. We asked for our bill and explained why we were waiting. When we got our bill they over charged us. 4 people on floor never came near us. They seem to be keep with the locals. When we paid our new bill the manager told us they were only looking out for tables who had empty wine bottles.

    The decor in the restaurant is superb - including that of the unisex rest rooms. The seating is comfortable and the lunch menu was sufficently diverse. The noise level was a little too high. The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The service was good. I will return with some friends to sample the dinner menu.

    Food is incredible. Staff can't do enough for you. They are a credit to the restaurant. Very attentive, friendly and great with the little ones. On busy days service can be slower but you forgive that when the meal is a beautiful as it is. Would absolutely recommend especially for families.

    Living social voucher and felt rushed, the 3 course was really 2 as the desert is a tasting. No option just presented with coffee cake & three tiny lemon curd petie four, all of which is an acquired taste, no option. The salmon was over cooked and the burger fine. It was 62 with extra drink, okay but I wouldn't return!

    As always we were well looked after. Food was lovely and even with a slight request for menu change they were very obliging and not put out at all, even offering an alternative.

    On entering, we were struck by the level of noise in the restaurant. Our booking was for 6.45pm & there were lots of families there with young children. There were also a couple of adult b/day party groups, incl one group of 30 people at a 40th party. Nothing wrong with this, but stuck me as unusual to allow this mix later on in the evening. Overall, there c. 80 customers in a small enough restaurant. We had booked our table a week in advance but we were squashed in on a U-end couch with no chair for my dinner partner until one was fished out from somewhere. Where we were seated meant that we disrupted the pathway of the waiting staff. It was uncomfortable to say the least. Two main courses were lamb & salmon. My salmon came with a couple of baby roast potatoes & a big helping of green string beans. I think these beans are an insult in a restaurant charging €25 for medium sized main course, aside from the fact that I dislike them. I managed to get the attention of a member of staff & asked for some carrots. They eventually came but I was well finished eating at that point. When we got our bill, we were charged for rustic fries which we didn’t order & didn’t have, but I suspect was the charge for the carrots which came way too late. As we paid, I gave feedback to the staff member, and expressed overall dissatisfaction with the whole experience. We also gave feedback during the meal, but I honestly feel everyone was too busy & stressed to be able to do anything about it. The cashier was very courteous & I must apologise for not mentioning how lovely all the staff were while I explained my dissatisfaction. I felt so sorry for how overworked this very nice, conscientious group of people were. I saw recently that the owner of GFP won Business Person of the Year at the Fingal Business Awards. I’d suggest the business model be looked in view of the many recent complaints on food quality, value for money, staff workload etc. We will not be returning.

    The best Gourmet food parlour that I’ve been too. Staff and food were fantastic. Decor was amazing! Don’t change a thing!!! Really impressed with the staff! I would frequent swords and santry gourmet food parlours at least once a week and Dunshaughlin is by far the best!!!
