With two floors of dining, an outside seating area and a balcony, our Santry restaurant is a fantastic spot come rain or shine. Located conveniently close to Dublin airport, it also views over the lake at nearby Santry Park.

*A discretionary service charge of 10% will be added to the bill for parties of 8 or more.
100% of tips go to our staff.

    The new receptionist was so welcoming unlike many other experiences I had with a different receptionist All waiters were excellent. Friendly pleasant. Food was delicious but a bit pricey. Will definitely go back

    I live nearby and have eaten here many times. On this visit the starters were gorgeous, got Prawn Bruschetta and the Meatballs. The mains were disappointing though. The medium rare steak was really tough. The Hake was really fishy and unappetizing and the cous cous it came with was overcooked and mushy. I'll probably come again though because this place is usually good, and the staff are always attentive and lovely.

    We were a party of six eating at 3:30pm. Service was excellent and food was served efficiently. Spicy buttermilk chicken burger is my favourite followed by Oreo chocolate brownie to share. No complaints.

    Came for lunch sat outside and had two amazing salads. Generally the sound of a salad is boring but we thoroughly enjoyed our food. The service is excellent. The restaurant both inside and out was spotless. Looking forward to our next lunch.

    It took over 90 minutes after ordering until we got our 4 mains. Other people came in after us and got their food before us. The food itself was good, but the service was not.

    Having had breakfast multiple times here before, we were left disappointed with the quality of service and food. We felt we were waiting a very long time to place our order and then receiveing our food. Once the food arrived, it was only luke warm and just ok. We had asked for water and only received two of the three glasses before we left. There were no condiments on the table either.

    We had a fab meal sitting outside, the weather was lovely. Our waitress was so nice and we had a chat with her. She looked after us very well.

    I was disappointed in my visit. The salad had not got any walnuts despite them being listed on the menu and no mention/apologies was made to this fact. I asked for the prawns as a starter and the salad as a mains - this was provided the other way around - not that big a deal but a lack of attention. Two staff members were made aware of this but nothing changed. The salad was rather insipid and the proportion of pear and feta was so poor with no walnuts. It was mainly greens and therefore not worth 9euro. The inside was so cold. The doors to the outside area were open all evening so there was no advantage of requesting an indoor seat. In fact there were heaters and blankets outside so it was possibly warmer! The staff were friendly but could be a little more attentive.

    Always lovely food here, booked for 12 but my mother was late and no issues rescheduling by half an hour even though they were extremely busy with walk ins. Servers were all really friendly. I always find they are a little slow at the end, breaking my neck to get the bill, then nobody returned so had to walk up to the till. Asked for a takeaway latte and got it with no lid. Was told they have no lids. I really needed a lid as I was driving. Just feel there is some awareness lacking sometimes. Transferred it into two flat white cups. All good. No big complaints just some feedback :-)

    The food is fabulous, have never had a bad experience. However we were there on Saturday for my little boys communion, and the service wasn't great. It wasnt overly busy so I was surprised. At least 2 people were left waiting for food each time while everyone else were eating, and we had to ask for 2 forgotten deserts to be brought over, it wouldn't put me off going back but I'd be weary of booking for big groups.

    There last saturday morning 20 may. Lovely restaurant, lovely setting facing park and lake, excellent service from Stephen and manager Natalia, restaurant very busy but yet staff seem to be able to give all the customers time. Gate Gourmet are very lucky to have such good staff. Will definitely go there again. Brendan

    We had a lovely 3 course dinner. Starters were really great, flavorful and have generous servings. We weren't as happy with the mains. The chicken supreme was okay, comes with a nice dipping sauce. But the steak was not that good. I ordered medium well but the one served was close to well done, it was kinda difficult to chew and a bit dry for me. We ordered brownie and pecan pie for desserts. Desserts with lovely! Overall still a nice dining experience for us and our little boy.

    I can’t stop going back here when I’m in Ireland on a business trip - great Pinot Grigio and if you’re lucky they will have the Pan Fried Seabass on the menu - highly recommended

    Waited 35miutes for food when it arrived eggs were cold. Smoothie ordered with food order had to ask 3 members of staff when it would arrive apologies were given but smoothie did not arrive until 10 minutes after food. On way to airport for a flight so we were under time pressure so did not highlight problem with eggs as could not afford another time delay if food was replaced. Have eaten in Gourmet previously with no problems and will return in the future we just felt upstairs filled up very quickly and staff were not prepared as other tables were also kept waiting for their food.

    There was a large party sat beside us who were very loud. We left after we were finished our food as we could not hear each other. Also the server never came back to us after we were served our food, she was too busy looking after the large party.

    Had absolutely gorgeous food in the Gourmet Food Parlour in Santry, the changes to their early bird and evening menu are brilliant, better selection of starters and mains. As always the staff were so pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend for a good evening out.

    Very happy. Regular customer. I usually sit down stairs and yesterday I was upstairs. It was very loud. I asked to move back down stairs and they kindly obliged. Much quitter downstairs. Thank you.

    Service not great, waited a long time to be seated, for our order to be taken and plates weren’t cleared after we were done. Had to pay at the till as we waited too long for the bill. No one came over to us to ask if we were ok or needed anything. Seemed to be short staffed. Food was plain and order was unfortunately wrong so my partners food came out after mine. I don’t think I’d be back unfortunately.

    Badly organised queue with both booked guests and walk ins together. Lots of empty tables & a long queue outside. GDP is constantly under staffed and some staff are poorly trained. It has become disappointing over the past few visits. French toast was poor. I suspected it has been half cooked & then reheated. The middle was soggy & not fully cooked. Bacon was cold. Two reminders for a latte with the meal. Three reminders for kechup. Such a shame.

    Food always good , only real issue we have most of the time is the service was way to slow and minor tweaks made to preference are being missed , could be a break down of communication as one waiter in particular spoke very low could barely hear him speak I had to repeat to the rest of the group what he was saying , probably just a new shy lad , hopefully grows into the position soon
